I'm having issues with BT in my car, the phone will work but audio will not work. Tech support is recommending a "master reset."
Not sure what that means, but do not want to lose data.
Rezound and LG G2 have connect for phone and auido with no issue.
Anyone else having issues? Would greatly appreciate any ideas on how to fix it.

Some info about config (hardware, software) would be nice... My D855 v10h has no issues connecting to my Pioneer DEH-4600BT. Audio, phone, address obok, recent calls - everything works ok.

Sorry, have T-Mobile (LG-D851) running 4.4.2 and D85110c. TIA
the phone connects with no issue, however audio doesn't come over the speakers as with other phones

Try software upgrade - if exists. 10c looks kinda old, check OTA for possible upgrades. And if you have T-Mobile, then maybe consider TWRP and custom ROM for test - if OTA doesn't work.

Hello,
Am I the only one who cannot turn on my wifi while on a phone call? I could on my TP2 and TP. For some reason, if I have wifi off and start a phone call, I cannot get it connected. If I start the wifi connection before the call starts, it will occasionally keep the connection. This is with 4G off.
My phone is rooted and nand unlocked using toasts unlock. I am currently running the rooted stock rom, 3.29.651.5 OTA unlocked. Regardless, this has been the case on all rooted roms I have used.
Am I the only one with this problem? Please help!!!

Not sure whats wrong with your phone but I have rooted stock rom with kings CFS #11 kernel and I am able to turn on wifi and browse the web while on a phone call.
I registered to say that I have the same problem. I googled, but this was the only thing I found related to the issue. I can use wifi if it's on before I make a call, but if I'm already on a call it will say "out of range" for any networks and I can't connect.
My phone isn't rooted at all and is brand new. Should I go get it swapped at Sprint?
Same Problem/ Fix
I can make calls on bluetooth.....Sort of. Depends on what bluetooth I use. I have 2 Jabras, both different models. Wifi works on call while I am on my bt2010, but while on my other (no idea what model think 2020) wifi wont work. Hope this helps, because it helped me I am buying more 2010's now.

I dont think it is your mod dude I think it may be a problem with the Bluetooth. I am a very tech savy/ noob programmer, but I do know how to trouble shoot. This is a long shot, but I am guessing it is a protocol conflict between the device and the headset. Like I said I have 1 headset that allows me to surf while on it; the Jabra BT2010, and antoher Jabra that does not. Guess I am lucky the 2010 is one of my favorite headsets or I would be screwed. I am ordering 2 new 2010s I will let you know if my results are the same as with this one. Only reason I can see that my results would be different would be do to a firmware change.

You know I have the Jabra BT 8010 and I do have this connection issue. I then deleted the device pairing with my cell phone and had wifi on and connected. I then dialed a phone call. Turned wifi off. Turned it back on successfully. Timsmooth, you nailed it. Do you know if you other Jabra was one that head 2 ear pieces to listen to music on?
I am going to order another one. I really like this one so much, it's going to be hard to replace it.
Hi and thanks for help first off,
Bought a T-Mobile S3 flashed to CSROM Tha BMB v.1.2 with Hardware version: REV 0.4
I flashed a few phones previously but barely knew what I was doing then and haven't a clue now TBH.
So - bought a new Nav/Phone/Stereo for my car this weekend (Pioneer AVIC-X9310BT). Has BT phone support but can't get it to recognize/talk with the stereo at all. Phone says it's rejected or can't communicated with the stereo but stereo has no troulble connecting to other phones so it's something with the hack/Rom I'm guessing.
My pref. would be to do something to my current rom to make it work (done all the reboots and such - no luck). If this is possible - tell me what to do. (Remember, I'm an idiot on this stuff now days)
If not - my Q is - what current ROM would you guys suggest I DL and install to try and get it to work with my stereo.
In truth there's only two things I need from my S3.
- Ability to tether to my ipad
- Ability to be used with my stereo
Other than that - I'd really be fine with stock S3 wares... but... as I know - to have the ipad tether (without paying extra... I'm on Solavei service)... I have to at least stay hacked... so...beyond that... what's EASY to install, can tether and has the BEST chance (stable/near stock) to syncing up via BT with my stereo.
TIA

Probably ROM issue, try S3Rx or Dandroid.
Yup, I hear about BT problems all the time on CM/aosp roms. Try aerowinders suggestions first, but if you don't like the roms, just make sure you stick to stock, touchwiz based ones and BT should work.

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I have an T-Mo LG G3 (D851) that had been running the D85120b software from April 7, 2015. We all know that WiFi Calling was not working on that version of software, which is why T-Mo pulled it and quit distributing it after only a couple of weeks. But Bluetooth worked perfectly for me. Then on June 9, the new D85120e came out to fix the wifi calling. So I updated to the new 20e yesterday without any problems. But now, bluetooth won't work through the phone no matter what I do. Even with LG wireless headphones or in my car. I have removed all devices, re-paired all devices, everything possible. Can't place or receive calls on my headset now, nor can I place or receive calls through my car now, even though both devices say paired and connected (1 at a time of course). This just started yesterday when I upgraded to D85120e. Any ideas out there? Please help and thank you very much.
I had to delete and pair my bluetooth devices again after I upgraded to 20e. That fixed it for me.

Thanks for the reply, but as I said in the original post, I have already done that numerous times. I have also done complete "factory" resets of both bluetooth devices (headphones and car system) and I still get the same result. I wish it had been that easy. Thanks for answering though.
Issue resolved. Just an update to close this thread. Fortunately for me, after I had upgraded to D85120e, I had done a complete TWRP backup. After that I flashed 2 TWRP zips that i wanted to use. I flashed the zip to delete Carrier IQ and the zip file by @spiderio to raise the volume level of the speakers. It was one of these zips that killed the bluetooth. ( I am guessing it was the Volume increase since that one dealt with sound issues)
In any case, I restored the TWRP backup to the system before those 2 flashes and bluetooth came back fine. I hope this may help someone else sometime. Just FYI.

Need more info....download samsung phone info and post a screenshot of the firmware tab. If your bootlader and baseband dont match, theres your problem. If they do, try reflashing stock (twice) then doing a tactory reset from the stock recovery right after. If after that the issue is still present....probably something else.....mabey hardware related. Good luckl
Do you use bluetooth? I had a very similar problem and figured out that the only time I had call audio was when I was using a bluetooth headset or the bluetooth in my car. I don't know what sets it off but I've done some searching on this problem and it appears to be common among GSM GS4 owners, and even doing stuff like a complete reset doesn't fix it.
The one fix that I did find, that helped some people, was to go into Google Now and disable "Okay Google" detection from any screen. Several people found that that worked. But I didn't have that feature enabled anyway so it didn't apply.
I don't know if the same problem occurs with CDMA GS4s; my wife has a Sprint GS4 and doesn't have the problem but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I think it was just AT&T and T-Mobile GS4 owners who reported this.

I don't have Bluetooth, I've tried it with a wired headset and even that didn't work, but what's so puzzling about this is that my calling works fine with Facebook messenger calling feature, hangouts and things like that

Edit:
Nevermind. It worked twice then I tried calling a different phone and it broke again. I will keep searching and update.
Original:
I have had this issue intermittently for the past year. It was fixed for about 6 months then two weeks ago started occurring again. Today I flashed a new Rom (PacMan) and the M919UVUFOK3_M919TMBFOK3_TMB firmware. That did not fix it. I was connecting to a 5Ghz WiFi so on a whim I forgot that network and made a call without WiFi enabled. Call worked!
So I connected to my 2.4Ghz WiFi and it is working again. I would try turning off WiFi and see if your calls go through if so it could be 5Ghz or the router...maybe a forget network / reconnect to network will fix it consistently.
Hope this helps you and if anything new comes up I will let you know.
So an update. I finally just gave up on it. My wife had an old phone I remembered (from 2 - 3 years ago) that was ran over and the digitizer broke. I just took her guts and put it in my phone and now it magically works. Hopefully it stays that way.
Should have done this years ago as my phone would no longer charge with the USB Cable nor was my SD Card accessible. Now it is all functioning right again.

So after flashing stock NB4 twice.....and factory resetting after from stock recovery, your still not getting call audio?.....doesnt make sense....try again and make sure the bootloader and baseband match.....and dont reboot into download from the OS.
For anyone having issues with no call audio through cell service but for some reason it works through data calls through whats app or facebook messenger, etc ,i have been having the same problem for awhile now. I believe i have traced it to be a hardware issue with the middle frame, when looking at the phone with the battery cover open on the top right over by where there are two markings R1 and L1. There is a module there labeled J-AT TMGA 7-3. When i was having issues i noticed that if i put slight pressure on that module my audio would fade back in on the call but if i put too much pressure it goes away again. If it is a hardware connectivity issue it would explain why slunked was able to get his phone working again by changing the guts in the unit. Im currently waiting for a middle frame and a blue cable for the antenna to confirm if this is indeed the issue.
I am on my 2nd G7. They both have the same issues. Won't text via Android Auto while connected to my car, and Google Play Music won't work. Anyone else have similar issues?

None to be downgraded to. I've spoken with LG many times. They've admitted the issue and said a solution is coming. In the meantime I'm screwed
I am also on my 2nd G7 also ;-(
For me android auto will work fine for a while (varies from few minutes to an hour) and then it just disconnects. This disconnection is specific the the G7 as phones from other family members (e.g. Nexus, Asus, Blackberry) all connect fine and never disconnect.
Neither LG nor Verizon want to take ownership of this issue. I guess my next step is the BBB and FTC
Same issue!
Heres the crazy part.....
I opened the camera to record the texting issue.
Incredibly with video recording the texting works every time.
Has to be something with the mic on the g7 i bet.
Let me know if you guys get the same result
