Posting Question - About xda-developers.com

Hi,
I'm a forum newbie with a question about posting.
Each time I post I have to type in a verification code from an image.
Then, when I select Preview Post, & select Post after viewing it I'm asked to verify again. So I'm typing in two separate verifications.
Is there any around this?
Thank You,
Mark

Yes. Once you graduate from the Junior Member rank, you will gain the ability to post without entering a code of any type.
The main way around 2 verifications as a Junior Member is to just hit "Submit Reply" after composing your message, without previewing it first. Then you will only need 1 image verification code.

luxio, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

A few changes have been created to help the fight against spambots. As such all new members (until they reach 5 posts...used to be 8 but I believe its been reduced to 5) will have some restrictions such as unable to post links, access to certain areas and also their first 5 posts are monitored and approved. Once you have reach this limit these restrctions will be removed.
Thanks for you patience in this matter
Rick
OK: I'm curious why I can't download basic stuff like MTTY, even though I'm listed as a "senior member" with over 100 posts. Insufficient privileges, but why?
I've brought this up in the moderator forum. Hopefully the admins can look into this for you.
Also, try the suggestions I made in reply to your other post.
Ta,
Dave

There are new restrictions on posting links / pics etc but there are not supposed to be download restrictions. As Dave said above this has been raised by the Mods and Admin is aware - but I'll check on it.
Mike
thank you i just need to get post counts up
You do not have permission to access this page
I get the You do not have permission to access this page message when I try to view http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639168 It's the MobilePad thread. Is the whole thread closed or is it about MY account? So far I have 13 posts.
Could someone of the senior members try to view that thread and report back here?
I'd apprectiate it.
Regards MaeSiuS
I can't access that thread too, so the count of posts would not be the problem.
I'd guess that thread got removed for violating forum rule #11:
11. Don’t post with the intent on selling something

A removed thread will give you the following warning:
Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

The thread has been moved to a restricted internal review section of the forum as it appears to breach Forum Rule #11. The XDA Admins have already been notified.

OK thanks for pointing that out.

Forum redirecting via anchor

Have seen this on other type forums, but haven't figured out yet, how does it work here.
Redirecting to some part of text in one post can be done via anchoring. At least it was so on SMF forum.
There I used [iurl=#sometext][/iurl] for the link and [anchor=sometext][/anchor] for the place, where it has to redirect to.
Now, this is not SMF and I haven't found a working way for this. HTML and PHP codes, which I also have tried, do not work. If I try [ HTML] and [ PHP], then these comes in the boxes.
This is, where is the link
HTML:
Text to be shown
and this is, where it should direct to
HTML:
<A NAME="anchor">Text to be shown</A>
You get the point, right?
Is here a way to get it working also? I have a tutorial, which is already quite long, but not complete yet. It would be easier for readers to just click the part of the tutorial they want instead of scrolling through bunch of text.

This isn't currently available at XDA, but one way you can do it is to break your guide/tutorial into sections, and put each into a separate post, and hotlink to the post directly.
You can get the permalink from the post number at the top right (copy the target URL)

My tutorial already has answers in the topic, neither is it ready yet. Adding new posts between other posts is, according to me, not possible.

If you offer that...I could use some.
I would like 2 posts there, after my first post.
Link to the tutorial is in my signature, first link.

Is this offer still available? I need few posts(2-3) there, right after the first post.
Just ran to 30000 character limit, even though I am far from finished with it

Low Screen Brightness on Boot

I own a LG d620r (europe) with LINEAGEOS 14.1(BUILD 14.1-20171128-NIGHTLY-g2m) combined with supersu and have some issues while Booting.
When I boot the Phone, i get the regular boot animation. After about 5 Seconds the Screen brightness goes down to about 10%. Same happens when I use Chainfire LiveBoot. How can I change the brightness during boot so the LiveBoot output becomes readable to me?
Brightness change is not affected by the SuperSu-Binary, also happens with clean Lineage.
Thanks in Advance.

1) On the first post, select the bottom left triangle (reporting a post).
2) When the next page loads, select the reason on drop down section (at the bottom left of the text area), then select the one that states "Thread/post moving or maintenance".
3) If it's because your question was simply answered, then type the reason within the text area. Something simple like "Can you please close this thread because my posted question has been answered." (you can also tell them that "Ibuprophen is awesome" LOL!).
4) Finally, select the "Send report" and you'll then be taken back to the thread. Your all set!
The report is then listed on cue for a Moderator. It typically takes anywhere from 10 min to a day or two. The Moderators are very good and are pretty much on top of things.
Reporting a thread isn't intended as a bad thing. It just elevates having to send call-outs and PM's to a bunch of Moderators till one is available.
You've now graduated from the "Closing a thread 101" course! LMAO!!!
Good Luck!

Bug with topic editing (Edit project).

I publish a firmware update (for Xperia M2) every month and edit the first post.
After editing on May 25, the whole topic disappeared.
Nobody sees her, I only see her in my subscriptions - but I can’t open it (you do not have permission to access this page.)
I checked it now on another topic - the topic also disappeared, after the Edit project.

When will the problem be fixed? How to publish firmware now? Forget the lost topics and make new topics?

Sir, I apologise that it took a while but the web gurus were able to create a fix that seems to have solved the problem.
Please have a look; as far as I see your "lost" threads are back.
Stay safe and stay healthy!

Rule #1:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.

And Rule 5:
5. Create a thread topic or post a message only once, this includes external links & streaming media.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer.
