[Q] quick remote not showing any manufacture - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a problem with my quick remote. There is no option for me to select the manufacture of devices that I want to control. Thus making the whole app useless.
May I know whether there is a way to solve this problem?
I have tried clearing data, reinstalling using LG updates but still no luck
I have attached a photo of my quick remote. Thanks!

Problems syncing Titanium Backup to Dropbox or Drive

So I know this should be in an Android General forum but I trust you guys so I'm gonna post it here.
I've got a pretty extensive set of schedules setup on Titanium Backup. When I try to have the schedule sync with Dropbox or Drive, it says that the credentials haven't been set. I have went through every menu and can't find a place to set credentials.
Anybody know how to fix this?

Dropbox credentials. Error message: "Dropbox access credentials are not defined" appears in the Notifications area when it tries to sync with Titanium Backup Pro.

You have Dropbox and Drive checked in Preferences right, and of course both apps on your phone?

Yes it is ticketed in the line for Cloud storage - only interested in Dropbox.

I actually just noticed that setting since I haven't used scheduling much over the years.
Glad everything worked out.

Erase access tokens didn't work for me. But, unchecking and rechecking the google drive in "configure cloud storage" worked for me.

Instagram not working properly

Okay so i am on the All star rom 4.1.2 based off the nexus 4.. When i take a picture with instagram it does not load on the app until you upload it. like i cant view it before posting it, so when i change the filters i cant see the difference. i heard you can fix this in the build.prop area. Go to developer options and check to disable HW overlays. I had the same issue and found that solution online somewhere and it worked for me.

Go to Google Settings app, then go to location then turn off access location. Make sure Location Services is OFF as well.
Do you happen to use Google Now? For some reason, its location implementation makes it use Google Maps although you the user have never opened the app itself. I've had this problem myself too and I ended up disabling Google Now

I found this or clearing the cache would stop maps from wake locking.

what is that a app?
Go into Map settings>Location settings and turn off Resort grin this device and Enable Location History. This should solve your problem.
I had same problem I solved by searching on google. The trick is to disable and factory reinstall it.
When you go in app manager then map click Disable it will the propose you to install factory version say yes and renable it then boot just in case and Map won't consume the battery.
It worked for me and alot of other people
I don't why it do this some kind of bug in map that is delivered with phone but resting solve it.

I just did that, but do I need to update to the latest maps though? I'm guessing No, cuz the latest update has people complaining about the battery drain.

KitKat Problem

Every kitkat rom I install on my S4, keeps showing my messages icon on the status bar. Even when I clear it, it comes back.
I don't know why, or how to solve this issue.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Thanks

Try this, go into Settings and Application manager. Under "All" look for BadgeProvider, click on it then click Force stop and clear data/cache. Reboot phone afterward. Good luck.

I looked where you said to look, did not see 'BadgeProvider' anywhere.
For whatever reason, it's driving me crazy.

none of the apps is installing specifically installing from apk is unsuccessful, installing from play store works fine, restoring a backup is fine as well. It's just the apk(for any app) which is giving me trouble.

Im wondering if I have to root my tab to get this voice recorder apk to install...
I installed AT&t's visual voice mail APK no problems..
hmmmmmm
Late reply, but the people facing this issue might benefit from this.
Seems it was an issue because of trying to install apk with 'night filter' on. Android disables app install while any screen dimming app is on due to security reasons.
ps: still waiting for cm lol
