Hello has anyone tried this? using a mini usb to VGA connector?
Everyone who sells the cables on eBay say it doesn't work but they haven't tried it...
i am stuck with the same issue. we have bought a projector - epson EB-S18. Will it work with a Samsung Tab 10.4 via its (ELPAP07) wireless adapter? I don't have the tablet yet, nor the wireless adapter. I am just asking before buying. Some help please, thanks.

I think we'll have to wait for the 10.1 and have to hope that the accesoires are compatible
All of the cables from the original Galaxy Tab work with the 10.1v (according to a Samsung rep in Australia), including the composite video out. Hopefully this means the cables for the 10.1 will work with the 10.1v too.

I think they are already available and have been for some time.
Anyway, it looks like an HDMI adaptor for the 10.1 is on its way:

I would bet these work fine with the 10.1v - though until they are released, we won't know for sure.
Will the 30 pin one from the Galaxy Tab 7 work?
Just got my Tab 7 inch HDMI dock in the post today - can confirm it works with the I/O 10.1 Tab
...there is already a youtube video from someone else showing this working, so search there if my good word is not enough for you!

You have to plug the usb/ac cable to the adapter and power source to work. Just the adapter and HDMI cable doesn't work.

do you think this cable will work also with Galaxy Tab 10.1?
99% chance of rain. Even though the 30pin connector will go into the unit. From my understanding, the only video out on the 10.1 is HDMI but no one yet knows how.

Ordered this cable for my GT10.1 and received it yesterday, it doesn't work there's no video output.
But! There is audio output...
Yes you will get audio but no video. Only way to get video is hdmi adapter.

It's MHL. You need a MHL to HDMI chip. There are generic micro usb to hdmi ones you can buy then wire up to the pins in connector. Those cost $7.99 at cheapest and the connector is going to cost you $4.99 unless you gut an existing one and move the pins around
Have u try to connect it not in color code order... try it..

I have the samsung official Composite cable, and I can confirm that it is not compatible.

I doubt it - the GT doesn't have an MHL compliant connection AFAIK.

I have Tab 10.1n (Germany) and need to do a presentation in my school which has only beamers/projectors with only VGA option, no HDMI.
Has anybody found a simple / cheap option to do this?

Plug the Samsung HDTV adapter into the tablet, connect the tablet's power supply cable into the Samsung HDTV adapter, plug the HP adapter's HDMI plug into the Samsung HDTV adapter, connect a 15 pin male VGA cable from the HP adapter to the projector/display. I would like to watch Netflix on bigger screen on my trips, example on hotel TV or friends place
I looked from Internet and eBay and there is so many different adapter (and so big price difference) that I would be very happy if someone can tell me if have found working MHL adapter for Oneplus 2?
Or is this impossible and only way is maybe use Chromecast?
