I wonder in which folder the downloaded market apps go before the get installed.
Additionally the question rises if one can delete those files or do they get deleted automatically after installation??

They are run from the location they are downloaded to on the phone. So when you download a file from the App Market it will be stored in the folder, installed and run from said APK. If you move it to SD it moves the file from internal to external. If you uninstall the file if it sits on the phones memory it will automatically delete the file.
Not quite. They are stored on the cache partition. They are not always deleted, but they do not take up app space as the partition size is fixed. And when the space is needed on the cache partition, eventually they are deleted.
Is the cache folder visible to me? What's it called.
I got the problem that, despite all my apps are moved to my SD card, the updates fill up my internal memory. I understood that the updated apps are as well moved to the SD card. This is my default setting as well i
Downloaded apks are gets stored in /data/app. You need ROOT access to locate them. Root Explorer will let you access these files.

Let me make a correction here: installed apps are stored in /data/app (requiring root for write permissions). System apps are stored in /system/app (requiring S-OFF or Recovery mode for write permissions). Downloaded apks are stored in /cache/download, which is why in partition tables, where the cache partition is >5 MB, you should symlink the download folder to a folder in the sdcard, to be able to download apps larger than 5 MB. Otherwise the market will return the error "Insufficient storage available." or something like that.
Not that all of that really matters, seeing as this is a year old thread...

Phone dont find files after 4.4 update

Hi!! I update to 4.4 official fro 4.1 rooted and unlocked bootloader via mobile tool. After that my photos, music, downloads e.t.c is nowhere! I still have my apps, too. I installed again cwm and from there i saw that there is one partition with current system and one partition where my photos, music e.t.c exist...Is there any way to get rid of second partition and move my files to the new system partition?
Your files are in root folder/data/media just download a file manager that supports rooted divices like root explorer give superuser rights and paste all your data to storage file

Root iNew U3

Hey guys, i like to root my new iNew U3 with android 5.1
So i used several programs like Kingroot, oneclickroot aso. but no apk works.
May the device is simple not to root atm?
Thanks Brook
I have tested all available root apps, no success.
I have Readbacked boot, recovery and system images, boot and recovery have special format, not possible to unpack and repack by available tools, mainly repack is problem. System is native EXT4 mountable under linux, injected by supersu files and modifications, but because of SELinux files are not available to exec under running android. I am not able to set right files contexts under Ubuntu.
I will let you know if find solution.
Hi guys, I bought this phone ( Inew U3 ) on Ebay .
The phone is not so bed!! But I can't move any app on the microSD !!!!!!
In any case app can move on SD, It is that the main memory is set to the phone, whether the main memory is set to SD !!!!!
Even with third-party app, type Link2SD you can move apps to the SD, are always on the phone memory !!!
Also you can not do root in any way !!
Solutions?
OK, found way how to root this phone.
Method is "simple":
First OTA update to version iNew_U3_5.1_V1.1.0, not sure if root survive OTA. Do factory reset.
Use SP Flash Tool to backup system.img,
mount is under linux to /system folder as ext4, it is pure ext4.
Unpack latest UPDATE-Supersu package.
Open file update-binary file as text, do all as in instructions.
Umount /system folder after finished.
Flash system.img back to phone.
If not shown reinstall SuperSU app from Playstore.
I will share modified system.img with scatter on needrom later tomorrow.
EDIT: Dwnload link: http://www.needrom.com/download/inew-u3-prerooted-system-img/#
I tried it, but it didnt work.
Everytime i extract the Zip i get a failure, that the file is corrupt?
Is there any other way?

Twrp/Root/Exposed/Sm-n900t/4.4.2 internal storage problems.

I'm running running the 4.4.2 bug fixing module if it matters.
When trying to: Download apk's, save pictures, use TB, I get an inability to access proper location error.
(Screens hots say USB storage maybe turned on.)
(TB says that storage/emulated/0/legacy can't be accessed. )
Es and other file explorers show that location as the only existing folder inside of internal storage. ("0").
Nothing else is in either folder.
I want to "restore" (Whether that be create folders, or re-flash)
EDIT: Using "Undeleter" app to recover all Archive file types (Zip, Apk, Jar.) And Image file types (there were like 8 different kinds.) Now my plan is to save it all to internal memory storage/emulated/0
I have no clue what else to do, or how to address the Legacy folder inside if "0".
Thanks in advance.
Also want to upgrade to Sm-900t/TWRP/Root/Xposed/5.0 Lollipop in the future if anyone can link a tutorial.
Would be willing to accept newest update as long as TWRP/ROOT/XPOSED are functional and Multi-Window/Pen-Window are both functional.
You could flash the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com using Odin. Then flash twrp via Odin. Flash supersu via TWRP to get root, then install xposed.
