Hello sometime I have a shortcut on the chrome homepage. I can delete it but I would like to know how to add one. I didn't find anything in the help.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
My main browser is Opera however when I click on a link from an app (for example from Pockettwitter or my RSS reader) the web page opens up in Internet Explorer.
I hate having to use IE as the pages never fit etc....How can I change it so that when i click on these links they open in Opera?

If anyone else is bothered by the same problem as me this is what you need to do.
Download JZ SmartMort v1.5 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382043
It does lots of hardcore techy stuff but more importantly for me is that it has an default browser option in it's settings (go to JZ Settings from your programs list, then JZ Browser options, then Choose a Default Browser, select Opera).
See? I told you it would be easy didn't I?

You mean bookmarks or people (contacts)?
I mean, the screen that originialy are directly to the right of the homescreen. Where you can add up to 9 people. I would like to call that my favorites, but. hehe.
Press and hold on the screen, add the 'People' widget, select the group to be displayed as 'Favourites'

is their a widget that displays firefox bookmarks for the homescreen or a way to allow firefox bookmarks from the bookmark widget in launcherpro plus?
You can download visual bookmarks from the market, which should display them for ya right nicely.

I'm not sure what the feelings are on reviving such an old topic but I have been wondering exactly this and, after following the advice google so kindly showed me, I was loathe to discover the current visual bookmarks explicitly states that it displays the bookmarks from the stock browser (this was confirmed when I installed to try it). So, are there any widgets to display firefox bookmarks?
To add a bookmark icon on desktop
This is the kind of widget I was looking for and Firefox does it out of the box!
Just hold click in the link bar and and Firefox proposes you to add a link on your home screen. Actually this is all I want, and works perfectly adding even a nice icon!
I've found a bookmark manager that sorts, bulk deletes, backup/restore and alphabetically sorts bookmarks in the android browser. You dont need alternate browsers now. Just FYI, it was annoying trying to find bookmarks because they werent in order. Mods if in the wrong spot please move it for me.

I'm trying to use the bookmark widget. I place the widget on a screen and get the Choose a Bookmark box but the box is empty. I do have Bookmarks in Chrome. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks.
A lot of people seem to be having the same problem, me included. I found a minor fix for it but it's still a bit annoying.
If you want to add a bookmark to the home screen then first find chrome in Google Play and uninstall the updates. Now you should be able to add bookmarks to your home screen, when you have added all the bookmarks you want you can reinstall the latest chrome updates. Being able to add bookmarks still doesn't work but you have the bookmarks you placed already.
