The main purpose of this thread is for asking that android l will come for our oppo find 7a or not..?
There's no doubt that Find 7/7a will get the L release in the future.
A more important question is when.

Why ask the community who can't give you an answer? If you want a real answer, get in contact with Oppo and ask them.

Our best hope is that Cyanogen Mod develop for the 7a and 7, and they will update to L...
Hello,
I tried to search "cyanogenmod" in this forum but the search engine crashed repeatedly. So let me post my question here.
I plan to purchase the Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 2014 (SM-P600) for mainly hand writing notes purpose. I also would like to install cyanogenmod (even if it voids the warranty),
but although this device is within the officialy supported device list, there is still no stable release for it, just nightly ones.
Within the developer section of this forum, I saw several cyanogenmod threads where some unofficial roms are proposed. So my question is : which cyanogenmod rom to install ? preferably the most stable one and with a working S-pen.
I would be grateful to one developer to lead me towards a working rom for this device.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards

Flash the unofficial release. Official CM doesn't have proper device support and never will. Also, don't upgrade the stock rom to Lollipop in order to keep the KitKat bootloader. The Lollipop bootloader causes CM not to play well with the s-pen.

Actually cyanogenmod changed their minds and just updated to our new repos just a few hours ago so you should be able to grab the next official build of CM13 when it gets released.
DISCLAIMER I'm not English, sorry in advance.
So if you don't know Android O (8.0) as been announced and a dev version has been released.
Does lineageOS is going to make a version for this new android update ?
Will it be compatible with Samsung galaxy s4 ? (Just like his brother LineageOS 7.1.1)
That's pretty much it thank you for taking your time to read.
Best regards ; Bread.

I don't think the Android version number has been confirmed, just "O". There will certainly be LOS15* release corresponding with "O", but it is way too early to know about device support.

You're right tho from what I've seen there is not that much of a difference from android 7.1.1 and android 8.0 same UI and option pretty much, only few new feature and I guess some optimisation.
As the kernel sources are released for rn8 pro, is there anyone who is working on twrp for it???

I think there will not be any development so soon since the kernel resources were not fully released. Atm, I will wait for unlocking bootloader and global rom.

It's a Mediatek phone, so don't expect any custom ROMs.
Take a look back at the Xiaomi phones released with Mediatek chips and see how little support from developers it got

Redmi Note 4 MTK has absolutely no support and never really received a working custom ROM.

Exactly. The only fully working custom is Xiaomi.eu which is based on stock firmware with a few tweaks.
Redmi Note 4 MTK was released with Android 6 (Marshmallow) and never received a working Android 7 (Nougat).
Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon was also released with Android 6 and received Android 7 (Nougat), Android 8 (Oreo), Android 9 (Pie) and there is already an Android Q beta version released.
The choice is simply: If you want a custom ROM don't buy Mediatek

Let's wait, we never know! The (partial) source code release is a step forward. I think that the "missing" code parts have with the LCD to do and not with the chip anyway.

There are many differences :
- Xiaomi never released Kernel sources on Note 4 (MTK), you can find Note 2 and 3's on their GitHub (very tardily released), but not Note 4's...they already release Note 8 Pro's
- Xiaomi didn't sell Note 4 in western countries...now they officially sell many devices in Europe.
- most western users bought SD625 version instead...MTK community wasn't that big
Sources are there, now Mediatek need a "best seller"...unless that, custom rom won't exist
In past, a team succeed in doing rom for several Mediatek's devices (M.A.D. Team)

Mediatek still isn't popular with developers and I wouldn't expect custom ROM. Snapdragon is always the safer bet

Good morning ,
I come to you because I currently have a xiaomi 11t and I would like to install a custom rom on it but I cannot find a compatible rom for the 11t I find that for the 11t pro
Cordially
Julien
No or few development for Xiaomi with Mediatek processors.

Yep, avoid buying soc MediaTek devices.
Custom rom MIUI better than stocks with for example the call recorder and other features absent on stock roms.
