HowTo Netflix and LiquidSmooth - 8.9" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

1. Install APK installer. I use Easy Installer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.installer&hl=en
2. Download Xposed APK here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053
3. Install Xposed APK with Easy Installer, a new icon will show - Xposed Installer
4.Run Xposed Installer, click Framework -> Install/Update -> reboot?
5.Download Netflix workaround here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2101525
6. rename the zip file to apk and install with Easy Installer
7. Run Xposed Installer -> Modules and make sure Netflix workaround is checked
8. Open Netflix app and enjoy.

Tried the workaround - get audio only. Any suggestions?

Google Play Store - No Connection

I followed the xposed modded google play store instructions to the letter, got everything installed and running. Google Play Store opens and lets me login just fine. But when it opens, it says "No Connection - Retry". Anyone having the same issue or have a solution?

I was on ethernet and I tried turning ethernet off. Maybe I just need to unplug it and try again. Or try a different access point. Any other ideas?
Today, I'm going to try and install the StockPlus rom that comes with everything all ready for you. If that work's I'll let all you know.

Had this problem the other night, I fixed it by loading Xposed framework first in Adb, then installing with ADb command, after open Xposed framework and go to modules use the mouse to tick the ouya box. after this I ran the script to install google play and bam I was running. the batch file would time out on my network copy and the xposed framework so I bypassed it and it solved my issues.

Could you be more clear on what you did? More detailed instructions please, less pronouns. I've installed the framework and ticked the box for the play store mod. Should I wipe my ouya and start fresh?

I have had this issue also, did you see the license agreement for googIe Play when you first opened the play store? I never got the license pop-up so I went back into Exposed are re-ran the installer and then rebooted. Once the ouya came back up I went back into google play and the license agreement screen appeared. Once I accepted the license, google play store loaded without issue.

Dolphin doesn't work, crashes upon loading game. I wish any GameCube emulator did work flawlessly, so I wouldn't have to use an actual GameCube...

Is there anyway to uninstall Google Play on the Ouya? I also get the no connection error. I tried clearing the cache, disabling it/re-enable it. All have no luck. Anyone know a better way to fix this?
No Connection(Custom Rom) Fix
For custom roms, just Wipe Dalvik Cache and Flash Gapps. Fixed for me
*easy step by step solution*!!!
1. CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR TIMEZONE MATCHES YOUR OWN TIMEZONE(USE NETWORK PROVIDED TIME
2. CLEAR DATA AND CACHE, FORCE STOP! BLAH BLAH BLAH...
3. REBOOT
AT FIRST THIS SOLUTION DIDN'T WORK FOR ME SO, HERE IS WHAT WORKED FOR ME
*ROOT REQUIRED*
1. DOWNLOAD ROOT EXPLORER or ROOT BROWSER
2. NAVIGATE TO A FOLDER CALLED "etc' (LOWER CASE)
3. THEN, SELECT A FILE NAMED "host"
4. DELETE THAT FILE AND REBOOT!!
5. ENJOY GOOGLE PLAY!
I DO NOT HOLD ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE, THIS IS JUST HOW I FIXED IT!!

Phone: Samsung Galaxy HD LTE (SGH-i757m)
ROM: Cyanogenmod 10.2-20131029-UNOFFICIAL-celoxhd(Thanks to titanic_fanatic)

Working Netflix for AOSP roms

So I've noticed that Netflix doesn't seem to play well with AOSP based roms. Well here's a fix.
First, go here and install the Xposed Framework installer...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Once installed open the installer and install Xposed. Grant it root access and reboot. Once you've booted go here and download and install this module:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1648449&d=1358293052
Once downloaded install the module and reopen Xposed. Enable the module and reboot. Once you've booted go to settings>applications and find Netflix. Clear all data from the app. Now open Netflix and enjoy.
Also, here is a list of various Xposed modules if you want them:

(I take no credit for any of this. Google is my friend.)
