Here are the details
Honda Odessey 2013
OnePlus One 64GB, running 11.0-XNPH33R and franco kernel r16
Android Wear 1.0.1.1379611
Google Play Service 5.0.89 (1307510-038)
Google Search 3.6.14.1337016.arm
Moto 360 4.4W.1/KGW42N
Without Moto 360/Android Wear, my phone will pair with the car just fine
I can listen to audio (streaming from Tunein Radio)
I can make voice call, and the call will go through car speaker
With Moto 360/Android Wear, my phone will pair with the car just fine
I can still listen to audio (streaming from Tunein Radio)
However, when I make a voice call on my phone, the audio does not go through car speaker
Phone is still connected via bluetooth
On the dialer, there's an icon for directing audio to headset, speaker, or bluetooth. bluetooth option is not dimmed, but I can't select it either
In short, when Moto 360 is paired to the phone, voice call audio only go through phone speaker
As a test, while I am still on the call, with audio going through phone speaker, I goto Android Wear, and disconnect Moto 360. 5 seconds later, voice call audio go through car speaker!
Does anyone have experience with moto 360 and bluetooth voice call over car speake?
I hope this is a bug, and not a feature!

I have the same exact issue but with a Bluetooth earpiece, the voice call audio will not go through my BT earpiece. I've missed many important calls due to this. It's almost as if the voice audio is being rerouted to the watch!
Same issue
I have the exact same issue. It is with my wife's car, a 2014 MAzda CX-5 and also occasionally in my Nissan LEAF. It bothers me.
Same here with my 2014 Genesis.
For those replying to the OP, you might want to list your phone too, not just your car, since it's more likely the phone that's the issue.
On my Nexus 5, I don't see this issue with my 2004 Acura, nor with my wife's 2014 Jeep. I've received and made calls in both vehicles just fine, although, I will say that I haven't had much luck using the 360 to place the call. It always seems to fail to find the right person, or simply fail to understand my command at all.
I'm having similar issues with my G3 and BMW M4.... If my phone and the watch are connected, the car will *usually* connect normallyl... but if I make a call, the call usually goes fine for a while but then all of a sudden the car will lose the connection randomly. This did not happen before I had the watch. If i disconnect the watch from the phone, the car phone picks right back up and works normally. There have also been a few times where the phone and the car have not automatically paired now that I have the watch. Any fixes? Is there a way to prioritize bluetooth to the car connection? I did notice that one time when my call got kicked off the carphone was when a message was coming through.

That's great to hear I'll be getting my 360 on the 17th
Works decently, but I've had the BT headset disconnect randomly with the 360 connected. Over a year and my BT headset never disconnected, it's a Bluebuds X. Also had some issues with no voice input into my mono BT headset with the 360 connected, almost like the BT voice input was rerouted somehow to the 360. Seems to be buggy .

I've had my plantronics voyager legend sound very digitized to the point it's unusable lately. I'm multipoint paired to my HTC one max and a blackberry q10. Haven't had this problem before the moto 360.
I had my Moto 360 connected to my phone and my wireless beats with no problems. Works great
I just go my 360 yesterday and was wondering the same as op. I literally use my phone in calls about 4 to 5 hours a day. I actually use a blue parrot xt plus and they can't be beat as far as call quality on both ends. Now for looks, that's a different story. Can you say "May I take your order" they look like a headset from a drive thru. Anyway thanks for all the comments.

Yes you can, also there are about two apps enabling volume on the market for your player.
Works well, but I've heard some people complain of battery drain on moto 360 when you have another BT device connected. I don't think I've encountered that problem though.
I guess it depends on what phone and BT you are using.
I have moto 360 with LG G3 and when I workout I pair it with Jabra sport to listen to play music. Music is slow, unresponsive at first, choppy and from time to time play music fc's. Could be play music, BT, G3 or M360 and BT both connected to G3.
Playing music just through phone works with just M360 and works ok with just BT connected to G3. Next time going to try it with Gnote 3 and see if that works any better.

Works just fine with my Bluetooth car stereo as well.
I paired a BT earpiece to my SWR50. It plays music and I hear it well, but i can't answer calls. i dont hear anything on it. Did someone managed to solve this?
Only the urbane 2 can use an earpiece for calls, and even then only when the watch is not bt paired with a phone.
Even with the hwatch and zen2, the phone uses the watch as an earpiece, and you can't pair an earpiece to an earpiece. You'll need to have your earpiece paired with the phone.

I have a LG G3 phone and a sony smartwatch 3. Is there a way to answer calls while i am connected via BT to the watch? .The watch shows that it is connected to th earpiece. I do hear music from watch but not calls
In order to answer the calls on your earpiece, it has to be paired and connected directly to phone. Our watches does not support calling nor streaming calls from the phone to the earpiece. Streaming musing from the watch to the earpiece was mainly "invented" for the sportsmen so their phones may be left at home and they could just go and exercise outside with the music being streamed from the watch to the earpiece. But you're still paired with the watch, not the phone which is, well, that main unit that make a call.
So no, there's no way to answer calls when your earpiece is connected to the watch, not the phone.
I've been having issues with bad static/noise in voice calls when connected to my car's Bluetooth. Music streaming over Bluetooth is fine, however. Does anyone else experience this issue. I used to have an S6 paired to my car and it was perfect for both voice calls and music.
My audio for like music is fine but tried making a car handsfree the other day for the first time and couldn't hear the other person who said they didn't hear me either. I had to click on the dialer app to switch out it to phone speaker and then back to Bluetooth then it worked.
It's been like this since I first got the phone...it's almost unusable for phone calls in the car. I wonder if this is a software or hardware defect and if it will be corrected in a future update. I don't want to have to RMA this phone if I don't have to.
I'll try your workaround, acheney...thanks for the tip
Pixel XL connects via Bluetooth to both of my cars without problems. And call audio is fine both ways.
I have had zero issues with music streaming or phone calls. 2014 Infiniti q50
I'm having this issue too. Music and video play fine, but when someone calls i can hardly understand what they are saying due the static. Was hoping the update would fix the issue. I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Same issue. Audio over BT is fine. GPS navigation over audio was playing up, but now appears to be ok. The moment I call someone (or they call me) the call is all garbled and I have to switch to speakerphone.
My Bluetooth earpiece however works fine. Not sure if headunit issue or phone bt stack.
i have this same issue. so annoying. so far there's no solution?

None that i have found. Flashed AptX codec and still have same issue. Don't think it is hardware because the phone works fine when paired with other Bluetooth items like speakers, headphones, my watch, and other car stereos. Just doesn't like my factory pioneer unit in my Tc for some reason.
Audio issues for me have always been carrier issues.
Redialing the number usually fixed the call
I ended up finding if I mounted my phone far away from the head unit (near the door/drivers window for example) and tilted the phone in a weird way, the calls were fine.
I don't quite understand it, but seems like there is interference from the head unit when using BT to make calls, which for some reason isn't a problem when you play music (or GPS navigation is on).
Either the Pixel needs better shielding or there's something borked with the Bluetooth chipset.
I would like to use wireless headphones, but the in-channel headphones with a large battery and with good sound have not yet been invented
Yes!
I've only made a few calls over my cars bluetooth, but yesterday I ran into this:
Conversation was fine for several minutes, and then every word the other person said came through as static. When they paused between words or stopped talking, it was quiet. But as soon as they said a word again, it was static.
I toggled the call back to handset and it was fine. So I switched back to bluetooth, and it was fine for a minute or two, and then it became static voice again. I switched back and forth again and it was back to normal voice and remained that way.
Hey Guys - I have a Moto360 1st Gen.
Longer story short:
I have my phone paired via BT to my watch, and also to my Cars bluetooth Audio. If im driving in the car and also have my watch on and I receive a call, the in-car bluetooth will notify me and i will answer the call via the car. However any Audio for the call routes through the watch and not the cars audio, AKA i cant hear them and they cant hear me. When I turn my watch off, Obviously, the Cars Bluetooth works fine -- But when both are paired at the same time, my car receives and sends no audio, the watch gets it first.
Is there any way whatsoever I can turn this feature off, so my car gets audio and not the watch? Ive tried a few things and nothing seems to work - other then old school turning my watch off manually when i get in the car and turning it on when i get out of the car
Hello,
Just after android 13 stable I notice a issue with a voice call (no audio), but this is just when I using Bluetooth headset, I tried with 4 different headset including pixel buds pro with same result, but if disconnect the headset or switch the the phone call audio to phone speaker, it work, the phone call come back. It important to be clear I am able to listen to listen music, watch videos, notification even use Google assistant and everything work as I expected, this issue Is focus specifically on phone call whit audio through Bluetooth. Any suggestion?? Thanks.
