Are you s-off? Sometimes before i made that hack, i had problems with the phone rebooting when i tried to change something on the system partition with root explorer. Might be the same problem, as titanium could be trying to restore something to /system.
Thanks for the replies.
Seems i have a couple of corrupt apps.

New Rom: Old Data, Apps..

Hi I want to try the new Cyanogen Mod.
Up to know I'm using RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed
Is it right, that the best wa to safe and restore all data is to use Titanium Backup?
Is there anything that I have to consider else in terms of restoring my old data and apps?
I already did a Nandroid Backup.
How can I sync all my data with Cyanogenmod?
Best and thx,
Blubberor

[Q] Titanium Backup missing options for call logs/sms and mms restore

I am going crazy trying to figure out whats wrong with Titanium Backup. I am on a 4.3 rom (Tasks) and I made backups of my call logs/ sms and mms on android 4.2 and I can't find the option for it in Titanium Backup. I installed it from the playstore but its missing those restore options. I read that I needed to change the directory on android 4.3 to storage/emulated/legacy/Titanium Backup, I did that and still nothing. I also have supersu installed and grated permission to Titanium Backup, and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i didn't face this problem at all

I had that problem too. Try installing an older version of titanium backup. Sounds weird but that's what worked for me.

Titanium Backup will not restore from Nandroid backup. HTC One m9 Nougat, Rooted

I cannot restore any apps from my nandroid backup onto my phone using Titanium Backup.
It opens the Nandroid backup correctly, and i can select apps to restore
It than says "Processing" for a while, and then skips to the last app and then says "Restore completed successfully", but no apps have been restored.
I cannot find this issue anywhere
Any help is welcome
Same issue
Depends what your selecting vs what you have permissions to do. Rooted? S-off? Restoring system apps? Restoring system settings?. Some things are not allowed to be restored.
Deselect all system apps, system settings, google apps and htc apps. You might have better luck.

Nandroid Manager restores the apps but without data for some reason
Im willing to pay someone for a solution. I think this problem is device related in some way.

The simplest way I found, make a TWRP backup of your current ROM, restore your nand-backup, from there make backups of the apps you need, then restore the TWRP backup of current configuration. From there u will be able to restore needed apps.
Or submit this bug to TB team and wait for a fix.

My nandroid backup is half corrupted... The backup of the apps inside it are fine tho.
Not working for me either, which is a disappointment. Any solutions?

Try to install different versions and everything will turn out ® Titanium Backup - {Mod edit: Link deleted. Oswald Boelcke}
Hi all, i never found a solution to the issue.
I assume by some huge coincidence that both of my backups (nandroid and Titanium backup) were both corrupt. I cut my losses and started fresh, and uses older backups where necessary

Question Best way to backup apps and data? Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,
I'm going to flash oxygen os since most of the problems have been solved.
Does anyone know a way to backup apps and data, i tried titanium backup, but it seems that it can only backup but fails to restore them. Thanks in advance
Titanium backup worked fine for me. But other app I know is Helium Backup. But it is a super old app not sure if it's working perfectly. Worked for some of my apps.

Swift Backup
OnePlus Clone Phone app if you have a spare OnePlus/Oppo phone.
It's not a backup/restore app, but it can copy apps and their data - something which is not possible without root any more.
I would use apps' built-in feature to backup, if available, before relying on Titanium/ Swift, etc. What use is a backup that cannot be restored?
In my case, there aren't too many apps that need an offline backup, so it works for me. If you are flashing a new ROM, it is better to setup everything fresh than restoring from 3rd party backups.
