hi.
Just bought a LG GM750 , but it contains German Firmware/rom (Windows Mobile).
Does anyone knows how to upgrade to the Dutch firmware? English firmware would be okay too..
I have found a thread in this forum, but I can't find anything about a new rom.
Thnx in advance!
Dutch kdz file for LG GM750 Layla
You can check-out a Dutch kdz file ( firmware needed for flashing) at:
handy-faq.de/forum/lg_gm750_layla_forum/97996-lg_gm750_layla_firmware_download
( add the www-prefix and append ".html" in your adress bar after copying this. I'm not allowed to submit urls here...)
Please keep me posted on your progress!
( I am not a dare-devil, I do hesitate to execute the flashing process until now ...)
Cheers/ Met vriendelijke groet

First you need to have active sync.
Then install lg the usb modem driver here:
***.lg-phones.org/lg-incite-usb-drivers-download.html
Then You need to enter the Emergency download mode by turn off the phone, press and hold Decrease Volume (left side of the phone ) and Multitask key ( Right side of the phone ) at same time and then put USB in your phone.
Then you have to Download the flasher and english rom:
The flasher: h**p://rapidshare.com/files/362390744/KDZ_FW_UPD.zip
And the rom: h**p://rapidshare.com/files/362390741/V10F_00.kdz
When you start KDZ_FW_UPD.exe program is active but not 100% so
you start the Windows Enable.exe and it will show up down in your taskbar where clock is.
Click it and it will show ON so you can use flasher.
In first tab select 3GQCT - SmartPhone(WM) that is for LG GM7500 because it uses 3G network.
In Thirt Tab select WWE ROM from prentix link.
Afther that click on ????????????????????????????????
Wait few minutes and you will have LG GM750 on english.

Hi,
I've a LG optimus G Korean version (F180L). I'm facing issues to update official firmware in my mobile. While I try updating firmware using LG mobile support tool , I get error 'Not enough free disk space'.It's a brand new mobile and have lot of free space. I searched the forum for resolving this issue, but I couldn't find suitable solution.
Then I tried updating the firmware using KDZ tool as per instructions in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861854
I entered into software mode by power button and volume up key simultaneously and upon LG logo pressed volume down key twice and then connected the device. I got a message as in the attachment(software mode),I don't know korean hence assumed it to be software mode. Then upon flashing I got the message as in attachment(flash error).
Can someone help me flash an english firmware in my mobile.
TIA
The screen says:
This is a state for service center's backup and upgrade.
Usual users, please dont use this state and leave it by holding the power button for 8 seconds.
Something like that.
Your logs says:
Port= -1
and PHONE NOT FOUND.
I bet you didnt install the drivers properly or you didnt choose the proper port

Contemplating trying to flash .kdz to downgrade firmware and regain root. Battery life seemed better when rooted, with 50+processes frozen (Titanium) and cpu profiles set (setCPU).
Before flashing the .kdz, which PC Connection mode do you select for the device (charge only/ mtp/ lg software)?

I tried downgrading firmware via flashing .kdz but keep getting the PORT -1 error, not sure what I'm doing wrong...
- PC running Vista
- downloaded and installed LG USB driver using LG Mobile Support Tool, message indicates successful
- turn off device, reboot into service mode (hold power + vol up)
- connect device to PC via USB
- Device Manager, no LG modem listed **I think my problem lies here somewhere?**
- run Windows Enabler as admin, click in tray so "ON" is displayed
- run KDZ_FW_UPD_EN as admin, Type = 3GQCT
- navigate to appropriate .kdz file, press "launch software update"
- unpacks .kdz, then PORT -1, DEVICE NOT FOUND error occurs
any advice or insight would be appreciated. and Happy Holidays to everyone as well!
EDIT:solved. need to put device into Download Mode. power off. insert usb. hold power/ vol up/ vol down. release buttons when Download Mode icon apperars on screen. proceed. Cheers to boakun and l0ng0ne on the ICR channel.

Yes, I have a Korean device, since I live in South Korea. The firmware is Korean, with language set to English. When you set the language, literally everything is translated. I downloaded the firmware from LG servers using my own IMEI prior to upgrading to the latest ota that broke root for me.

The root worked like charm for Optimus G Pro E988 :fingers-crossed:
Here's how I managed to root my device:
1. Download the E988 drivers here: h t t p://w w w .lg.com/hk_en/support-mobile/lg-E988
2. Following the link there, you will download a file: B2CAppSetup.exe
3. Open the file, "LGMobile Support Tool" application will show up
4. Go to Customer Support >> Application, Manual & USB Driver Download tab
5. A new window will appear, Input your phone IMEI (*#06# then call from your phone)
6. After inputting your IMEI, press the button (Magnifying glass icon) to the right of IMEI number
7. A file name will appear in the box below, double click it and it will automatically download the file(s)
8. Look in C:\LGE988\ folder (Default download location), and run "LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN38AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.8.1.exe"
9. The driver for E988 will be installed on the computer
10. Turn on USB debugging on the device, connect the device to computer using the USB cable
11. I use "Media sync (MTP)" mode instead of "Charge only" mode
12. Run root.exe from the link that the OP gave (h t t p s://m e g a .co.nz/#!xJxVGaJD!S2sGqk-7euyyNxpdA9jIrXLBR7Jd5FKdsJXnVx3lahI)
13. Wait for your device to reboot, after that the device should be rooted (check the SuperSU app, if it's there then rooting process is successful)

Thank you @rwilco12 for hosting the download
1. Download the above Zip and extract it to a folder on your Desktop called "LG G2 Stock" (or whatever you prefer to name it).
2. Install LGUnitedMobileDriver from "LG G2 Stock" Folder
3. Install Setup_LGFlashTool from "LG G2 Stock" Folder (You will get a log in error if you try to open it)
4. Extract MegaLock.zip from the "LG G2 Stock" Folder to C:\LG\LGFlashTool and overwrite existing MegaLock.dll file. This gets around the Log in Error you got before when you tried to open it.
6. Put phone in Download mode by holding Volume up for a couple seconds and then plugging the phone in via USB.
7. Go to Windows Start Menu and under "search programs and files" type "device manager" and open it up.
8. Go to Ports (COM & LPT). You should see LGE AndroidNet etc... Right click it and go to Properties > Port Settings > Advanced > Change COM Port Number to COM41 > OK > OK > Close Device Manager
9. You should have a LGFlashTool shortcut on your desktop. Double Click it to open it up.
10. In the Model Config that opens up Select Manual Mode in top left.
11. For DLL browse to "LG G2 Stock" folder and select LGLS980_20130904_LGFLASHv151.dll file
12. For S/W browse to "LG G2 Stock" Folder and select LS980ZV7_01.tot file
13. Hit OK and then click the Yellow Arrow in top left of LG Flash Tool. Wait for it to say "READY!!"
14. Unplug your phone and power it off (it may reboot before you can power it off).
15. Go back into download mode and the stock ROM will start flashing on it's own. It should take no more than 10 minutes. It may stop around 80% but your phone will say 100% and reboot and Presto! Back to stock or unbricked! (Whichever you were trying to do)

I brricked my phone LG G2 Sprint and now i am in trouble ...phone not booting..
only i get the sideload via Recovery mode...
need a Recovery TWRP/CWM any...
and the way to flash the Recovery...
as i have changed the build.prop's setting
ro.build.target_operators= SPR
to
ro.build.target_operators= OPEN
and restarted it and then ..the ENd.
phone not starting...
tried to use LG Flash TOOL the .dll and .tot downloaded of Sprint
but the error comes for dll as i have changed build.prop to OPEN
so that LG FLASH TOOL is also not working..
figured out the solution but the way for these solution is still far...
just need the WAY for the solution..
Solution : Need to Replace the build.prop(OPEN) which is edited ONE ----> to-----> Original build.prop(SPR) [so that can use your said procedure]
if can't replace then should be able to edit the OPEN to SPR again
Only the things can work thru SIDELOAD only.
Also need a way to flash the Recovery in LG G2 SPRINT (so as to push or edit the build.prop) that to via SIDELOAD
The WAY : ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

(Whichever you were trying to do)
:good:
Thanks and I hope this helps!

I brricked my phone LG G2 Sprint and now i am in trouble ...phone not booting..

need a Recovery TWRP/CWM any...
and the way to flash the Recovery...
as i have changed the build.prop's setting
ro.build.target_operators= SPR
to
ro.build.target_operators= OPEN
and restarted it and then ..the ENd.
phone not starting...
tried to use LG Flash TOOL the .dll and .tot downloaded of Sprint
but the error comes for dll as i have changed build.prop to OPEN
so that LG FLASH TOOL is also not working..
figured out the solution but the way for these solution is still far...
just need the WAY for the solution..
The WAY : ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Those files are already in the OP. Also those instruction, written out much more clearly, are in the OP. So why post it?
The instructions above are for LG LS980 SPRINT device

I'm not sure why you would try that when the original post has the exact same steps explained much more clearly. I woUld refer to OP and maybe try again following STEP BY STEP
As your device is recognized by the flash tool as an LS980 it should work. If you need clarification on how to do a particular step or few then I am glad to assist.
Please Assist..
It would be a great pleasure...
I need some assistance trying to find a method to root my Dash M (which appears to be extremely rare to find a rooting method for).
I already tried framaroot (tool I used to root my tablet before) and Kingroot and such, but none were able to do it (and all google searches led to videos on rooting a BLU Dash 5.0 or another device from the Dash range, which isn't what I needed).
The Dash M is running Android 5.1 and custom build BLU_D030U_V16_GENERIC 28-01-2016 15:41
If anyone could help it'd be very much appreciated c:
Unlock OEM in developer mode and try it whit Kingroot

I have a Blu Advance 5.0, from the same exact family. In May, they had an OTA sent out to it to update the security. And little did I know, that meant no more root. Before the OTA to V06, I was on V04, and was able to root with Kingroot in less than a minute, perfectly. After the update, nothing good came of it.
For the past months I've tried hundreds of things to flash custom roms and recoveries (which I figured it out eventually) and then it crashed, due to a "damaged OTA". This meant that it couldn't update because I was rooted.
So here's the solution... If there's any older versions of your model or chipset (AKA Mediatek D030UX, D030U {MT6580}), download that firmware to your computer desktop as a (.zip) file. Then download the SP Flash Tool (Smart phone flash tool) from their website, and plug your phone into your computer via Media Transfer (MTK).
If you already have developer's options enabled, skip this.
- Go into your settings, go all the way down to "About Device", and find where it says "Build Number" (which will most likely have the phone brand in the file name). Tap on that about 8 times until it give a toast notification saying "Developer's Mode Enabled".
After you get that done, go back into your regular setting and now there should be a box above your "About Device" button that says "Developer Options". Tap that, then turn them on (press OK/YES if a prompt pops up) and then select the following options ,if available.
-OEM Unlock
-USB Debugging
Now plug your phone into a computer and install the drivers for your phone (it should do it automatically) and launch the SP Flash Tool that you had downloaded (extract to desktop before you launch, or it will show "error"). Now open the SP Flash tool and click on the "Scatter Loading" button. Navigate to your desktop, and find the firmware folder you downloaded. Click on that, then click on "Firmware", and it should bring up a .TXT file (Scatter file) with the desired firmware version you want. Click on it and press open.
A chart will appear in the space below with all the things the firmware has built in. All of them should be checked. Take out your battery now (from your phone) and plug the phone in without the battery. Wait for the model on the left to name your device, and click on the drop down list above the chart, it should give 3 options. Firmware Upgrade, Download only, and Format All + Download. Press Format All + Download. The bar at the bottom will turn a few colors, depending on what it's doing.
Now you're done! It's flashed. From that version, try to figure out a way of rooting it.
WARNING: Flashing erases all data on device, please backup to an external storage (SD CARD), before attempting this, in case you brick your device.

i know this is an old thread but.... i rooted mine (Dash M) with KingoRoot (look it up on Google)... i tried lots of stuff with no results, everything failed (i've already tried to root with KR in windows) but the only thing that worked was rooting with the android app in KR page... i felt really stupid after trying everything with no results when i've been using KR for other "hard phones".... either way, the only downside is that their SU manager displays all the time ads no matter where in the phone you are... but you can freeze the app to fix this and unfreeze it when you need to assign permissions....
BTW: its KingoRoot not kingroot (just in case)
