Installation instructions so If installing for the first time:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked boot loader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed
1 Copy the downloaded AOSB to your phone.
2 update recovery, is required for install android kitkat
3 Boot into your recovery
4 Back up your ROM
5 Enter recovery
6 Make full wipe "included "system"
7 Install the ROM
8 install GAPPS package
9 Reboot - the first boot can take up to 2 minutes
10 Recommended to Reboot again after ROM is up for the first time

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

reporting bugs:
1 - report your bug in the forum of your device and see if other people having the same problem :crying:
2 - try to solve it with all the knowledge you can get :silly:
3 - if that doesn't work go to our support center and place your findings there, report your bug and which device you have , this way it goes straight to the developers
4 - only report a bug if your really sure it's not your own fould! --- clean install , stock kernel , no weird home manufacturing stuff ,etc,etc,

Not as lag as cm11, or PA... But sometimes it's getting choppy... Especially lag on notification drawer... Hope the dev will fix it soon !
One thing left, how to change the navbar? I don't like the android L design.... Thanks

You could try to use a theme!
I'm trying the ROM now, too. Unfortunately it's still without new Sony blobs. So it's not usable for me. But besides that it seems to be great!

Nothing happened.... Still same...

As soon as I switch to art the phone gets stuck on aosb logo with lightning kernel.I don't know about stock kernel.

i'm looking for a maintainer for this particular device !!!
we want someone who can:
maintain this thread
make weekly builds
discuss with us about features and things like that
of course you have to own the device
so some experience in android building is a must , and time to do this

so i did what it exactly it said,
for some reason i get all these error in the set up screen, now i cant even get into recovery...
my pc wont reconize my phone since i cant get into setting to check debug and unknown source,
i pretty much killed my phone.....
i still can get to flashmode and fastboot thats about it...
any idea to get this fix??

Why is this ROM "taking CyanogenMod to the next level?
CyanogenMod does not want to include many customizations like they did in cm7
But why not? We want to customize our phones!
This ROM adds more options and cherries to CyanogenMod, cherry picked from the CM gerrit, Google gerrit, AOKP gerrit, many github pages that are around or made by me
This ROM also includes a lot of experimental changes like many NEON optimized code sets, better libraries like jpeg-turbo and tweaked surface flinger, skia and many more

Just select the option for a kill-all button!
You want to use this big awesome screen for tablet mode?
OK! just boot in tablet mode then!
You want to reboot but don't wait to long?
Just execute a hot reboot this is 50% - 70% faster then a normal reboot
You want a custom density?
Got that covered!
Hate the default Roboto font?
Just change it to another font with the build in font changer!
Hate the stupid useless overflow menu button (onscreen menu button)?
Also got an option for that just hide it!
Hate the ugly Android Global Action (power menu) dialog?
Just change it to a nice three row picture view without text
In Android you can swipe from the top of the screen downwards to expands the status bar
Why only from the top of the screen?
In this ROM you can define actions for
Swiping top edge
Swiping left edge
Swiping right edge
Swiping bottom edge
for example if you want the hide the status bar you can simply define a swipe action for it to an edge you like

First post under the download image and than u the text kernel
Download the zip file
The kernel is in the zip file extract it
Flash the boot image you just pulled
Do a factory reset in CWM
Flash the ROM
Flash the kernel zip (for the modules(only if you've installed faux or Franco kernel))
Flash gapps
Be sure you follow all these steps

Still early in customization aspect like all other kk roms. I'll add stuff when they do til they start pushing out nightlies in which would be useless for me to continue once they do
I did remove voice+ tho. Wasnt playing nice.

Downloading now, will let you know how it runs.
Edit: Downloaded it. Got it running. Very nice. Uninstalled some system apps (Browser, Launcher- I replaced it with Nova as a system app). After the reboot it soft bricked. Other than that a nice start. I look forward to updates. Thanks again.

This ROM is stable and fast. I've been running in for the last day and a half and have been very pleased. I ran into problems with some of the other 4.4 ROMs, mainly because I have an ext4 formatted SD card and the GPE ROMs don't support that filesystem. The CM builds do, but there were various issues with the cameras, FCs, WiFi cutting out, etc. I am going to stick with this one (and crack flash any updates) until official carbon nightlies roll out. Give it a try, but make a backup first just in case.

As far as his issue, not to sure...havent really tried dup'n it yet.....been busy and getting Liquid smooth 4.4 to build which is like 99% done but stuck on an error with chromium_org that a bunch of other people are stuck on too with no resolution yet

Thanks for the feed back I was going with people thought it sucked or nobody has any issues.

Yup I'm running it. Best 4.4 ROM yet. Even has theme chooser tho I haven't tried it yet. Carbon always has the most stable and smoothest ROMs. I'm extremely happy

The GPE roms are experiencing those issues unless the users update their baseband/modems/etc. That is excellent news if that is the case. I'm on Carbon nightly 4.3 so i'm chomping at the bit to get on board with 4.4 but I want my tethering (preferably) and consistent cell signal w/o having to update my bootloader/baseband/modems/etc...

Im on MDL everything....
GPE roms are different then say cm,carbon, etc... Those firmwares came with a full update of bootloader,modems,system, etc.

Honestly, the nicest part about this ROM is that you have updated the UI to a more white-based scene, something Google should have done! But other than that it's all good, few things though;
1 - Couldn't find DPI settings.
2 - There is no "Clear all"button in the recents menu.
3 - Animation transitions (I know they're messed up everywhere on every ROM)
I'm running an LG-G2 D802-10B, probably doesnt help but i don't want some douche refusing to help because i didn't put my variant down haha

For me installation aborts by unofficial CWM. With PhilZ touch it's all ok! First impression is good! Thanks.

- is there any way to increase the overall resolution? I would prefer a bigger fonts ...
Anyway, I downloaded textdroider_DPI from Google Play and set the DPI to 423. Reboot and now it is like on stock ROM.

On pa_g2-4.0-ALPHA-20131205-d802.zip i can record audio calls with callrecorder from line. On yuor ROM can't.
I see a different audiolib's in system\lib\hw\audio.primary.msm8974.so and additionaly see system\lib\hw\audio_policy.msm8974.so

KNOWN ISSUE and COMMON QUESTIONS
1. Don't dirty flash over it , get full wipe and clean before you update from other genius works.
2. Flashing kernels : 3rd party kernel that consist of CM ramdisk(ie flash with a boot.img image) is not compatible with this rom.
3. On restoring App with Titanium Backup: for those who switching roms all the time, it is recommend to wipe dalvik cache again with recovery.
dalvik cache generated by different rom build from different toolchains may not be compatible. You better do it prior to ART conversion.
4. If you flash SuperSu over this rom, pls checked "Enable su during boot" option in menu, otherwise, root privileges won't work
5. For dev reason I have switch adb logging on in developer options. Turn it off if you don't need it and somehow it save battery and
better performance.

So far it is good. Awesome customizations. It didn't auto download apps. I am using pa gapps 12/30. And for some reason candy crush app says it is not compatible with device. Other than that this is great. Awesome job

You get onto everyone's case about every little thing in a lot of threads kid. I've followed several of your post and it will not be much of a challenge finding it all. You're a hypocrite.
Be thankful people continue putting out more ROMs for us to try out. No one is going to have your answer right away on a newly released ROM simply because it was just released and everyone's phone acts different from others.

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

is there random call quality issues and other issues which are present in CM

Finally dude been craving for this rom for a while now coming from my old device (one x) which was one of the first to even get this rom but yeah just happy for now and I'd like to become a tester

Play store give FC and phone reboots (I installed PA full version)

After charging again to 50% gapps working fine.. No probs.. Random hang and reboots are still there... Rest checking will update..

Can GearCM Sources be used

I have been using GearCm 12-09-2014 build and the phone seems pretty stable, with a decent battery life.....

Hello, this rom seems pretty nice, but before giving a it a try i would like to ask if this Rom has the Extfat SD CARD support bug from CM fixed?, because most of the CM based ROMs i´v tried on my device so far have this problem, except the CM11 itself but have a terrible call sound quality.
Also how is the call sound quality? working with bluetooth headsets?

Well I went ahead and flashed the Rom. So far is the best CM11 based I'v tried on my I9500. It's running smoothly. My 64GB SD is working perfectly even formated on ext4.
Only buggy things I'v noticed, is that the battery drains a bit too fast. And there's a bit of overheat I tried to correct this undercloacking in the kernel tweaks CPU parameters but it gives an error when you try to modify the min and max frequencies.
The calls on bluetooth headset works sometimes and others you can't hear anything .
Finally I would like to request if is Posible that in a future version the slide gesture over the notification bar to control the brightness I'v seen in others cm11.

*update*: After some more use I have noticed the saved passwords of the wifi networks I usually connect to are getting erased after a day or two.. Is anyone else presenting this issue?

All you do is go to advanced settings in your wifi settings and make sure that Scanning always available is not checked then your wifi passwords will not be forgotten.
