Hello !
The last Archos 101XS Firmware (4.1.4 ) with Root is here! This Rom is based on stock Android system by Archos (Firmware 4.1.4).
This Rom can be installed only if you have already enabled SDE on your tablet .
Download :
All necessary files (archos.ext4.update, zImage, initramfs.cpio.lzo) in a single zip :
Archos_4.1.4.zip --> (link come in a few days. Because i'm new, i can't post external link. The file is on Dev-Host server d-h.st/sak)
Installation (same as Surdu Petru's ROM):
connect USB cable ;
unzip Archos_4.1.4.zip into Archos_4.1.4 directory;
copy archos.ext4.update in your device, or > adb push archos.ext4.update /mnt/storage;
go to recovery SDE and Remove android kernel if you have already installed any official firmware !;
go to Flash kernel & Initramfs and copy here zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo from ( Archos_4.1.4);
Ok ! ... & wait to boot !

J'ai suivit la procédure mais ai rencontré un petit problème, il faut en effet (dans mon cas) renommer le initramfs.cpio.lzo en initramfs et là tout marche bien !
I've followed the procedure but encoutered a little problem (in my case), just rename initramfs.cpio.lzo to initramfs and all work great !

Hi everyone, here is my problem. I have a diamond, and a few days ago i installed a custom rom called BsB. I'm happy with it but i wish to reinstall an official rom, direct from HTC. Everytime i try to install a rom, i have an error message, and the proccess fails. What can I do? And i wish to know which is the more recent official rom and where to download it? Ya está en la version Rom low level package for Odin, es suficiente descargarte el archivo JS3_JS2_JS1.rar, descomprimirlo y tendras los 3 archivos (uno de estos es el modem)
If you want only the modem, you can find it in the Rom low level package for Odin; download the file JS3_JS2_JS1.rar, extract it and find the 3 files (one of this is he modem)

If Vodafone in the UK, Spain, Portugal, etc. used the same 2.2 firmware (BUJP7) I don't understand why only the spanish Vodafone released this new 2.2.1 firmware.
This Samsung Kies update process is always a mess, even when the same firmware applies to several product codes / regions, they are unable to launch the same thing to everyone at the same time.
Sorry for the rant... I'll keep waiting that my country's Vodafone catch-up with the spanish one.

What's the command to grab the update zip file if your A100 has been prompted? (I didn't get an update notification, but want to keep a copy of the ZIP file once I do, I'm sure this will also help in spreading the update around...)

Hey Vache,
Your app works well, it is able to detect which version it is running and if there is an update or not. In my case, I am running 2.007.01_EMEA_GB, it says that there is no update available.
One thing to note though, the program crashes when no device is connected. It would have been quicker for me to realize that my A100 is not plugged in if an error message had appeared, telling me no device could be found.

The device doesn't have to be connected to have the app working. You can also select manually the device and type your current version.
Could you give me your current image version instead of OS version ?
It should be listed in Settings under "About".
Or if you know how to use ADB, could you give me the output of :

For those who have gotten the OTA update, have you noticed any bugs yet? What about app and game compatability? Are your games all working (are they still having touchscreen issues like with the leaks)?
Also, did you have to go back to HC to get the OTA, or could you do it with a leaked ICS version?

OTA arrives for HC users here in Spain. I'm on ICS Leak.
You need to go back to a Stock version rom. That's what I did
Download a stock rom. Name it update.... then to be able to install, clear cache and wipe data...sorry for my bad english.

All is working but not 4G LTE...my phone is not recognize as complient to my network (France) even if it work on 2600MHz Frequency...

I have tried the R&d method, but I got "extract error" every time....even by re downloading .kdz...

I think there is no solution for you. You have to buy the europe version.
There are 2 solutions for no network: 1. You flash back with kdz of f240l or 2. You install cwm on it and flash the baseband

Hello,
I have D852 from Fido (Quebec) that I really like and want to keep.
Until recently, it had stock MM and everything was fine.
I downgraded to LP 5.0.1 Telus that I downloaded from storagecow.eu (file name is TELUS D85220F_00.kdz) and managed to get it rooted.
I then tried to install TWRP and for whatever reason, it doesn't work.
I used ADB, AutoRec, Flashify, TWRP Official App, nothing works.
They all show that the installation is successful but when I try to boot to recovery (Quickboot, ADB, Power&Vol-), all I get is red/blue led flashes then I press Volume Down and the phone boots normally.
I really want to get TWRP on it so I can flash the latest Oreo on it.

Hi Funjet,
I can't seem to be able to flash Bell_D85220k (currently have Telus_D85220f) or any other KDZ onto my phone.
I'm using the same LGUP that I used to downgrade from MM to LP, on the same computer, same USB cable and USB port and I keep getting an error after 9%.
The error message says "Error : [18: 3:35] Port Open is failed after DLOAD change."
I'm using LGUP 1.14 and the DLL Version is 0.3.19.15. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?
I would have included an image but don't see how to attach a file to a thread.

Le débogage USB est activé et j'utilise le pilote LG Mobile.

Hello Funjet, I'm sorry, I have to post this one in English...
I think I finally figured out what I did! I extracted the laf.img file in order to get TWRP installed and since TWRP never installed, I now can't get into download mode.
The strange thing is that I have two laf.img files, one on my internal storage and one on my SDcard. The one in my internal storage is 16.5MB and the one on the SDcard is 32MB.
How do I know which one to install? Is there any difference at all? Could there be problems if I install the wrong one?
