I have ordered a screen protector and gel case. Despite what people might think, gorilla glass is strong and extremely resistant to breaking...but they still have a digitizer on the outside layer that will scratch. So do yourself a favor and buy a screen protector at the very least!
Just opened the box on mine that was delivered today.
Having bought it on the basis never even seeing it and just the hotuk deals deal and a few reviews to go on it looks like the right phone for me!.
It must be good, its just sent my Legendary HD2 to the scrap bin (well Mrs is gonna get it as soon as I remove WinPhone7 and put a decent GB rom on it!)
Sorry cant give any other info about the phone other than its cool looking and boots quickly!.

Make sure there is nothing protecting the camera. If there is some glass or plastic to protect it it will destroy you photography.
Didn't look into what case you posted but keep that in mind

Hi Jonas.
Yep HD2 = best phone I've ever owned thats for sure. 3 years old nearly now I think and its still as strong as ever.
I have a feeling this one x could be one of those phones that last as long. At least cpu wise it should be good for some time.

40 seconds in, that arrow destroys that protector. No way that didn't scratch the phone. If this is orange peel, no thanks, but if not it might be better than the HD. My HD has soo many indentions and I work in an office!

I have brought the original one and the two that i received (i brought into buy1get2 promo) after some days started to appear some marks below the protector... very frustrating.
Is anyone planning on getting the extreme? The video they have of the iPhone one seems quite impressive. I would love to read some reviews. .2mm seems like a lot to add. I've seen some cases that thin on eBay.

Not quite sure why everyone hates zagg. I'm quite fond of their products. I had an invisible shield on my S2 for the entire life of the phone and it was great. I've never had a protector that self heals like the zaggs do. Also have the hd for my s3 and really liked it but my tpu cases bubbled it up so I'm sending for a replacement (another plus)

I went through 3 zaggs with my wife's iPod and 2 for my old blackberry. Then I tried one with my s3 and just another disappointment. Needless to say all our devices are zagg free. There is no way that im that unlucky to get all defects. So my opinion is that they are very low quality and shouldn't charge as much as they do for their inferior products. My blackberry has a $5 screen protector that lasted 3 years and is still on there. Currently my s3 is naked until the revised specter comes out.

The original zagg sucked.. Would start to collect dirt and come off after a month...
The zagg hd I haven't had that problem with YET but also I don't expect to. It's like half the thickness or less so I expect it won't have the same problem as the orange peal version

Just picked one up at Best Buy for $35 and this thing is pretty thick! It's so thick it sits higher than the home button. Smooth as butter. I'm still waiting for it to completely dry but I don't think it's as clear as the Zagg HD. Makes the screen look kind of grainy. Oh well, I still like it. Definitely not going to test its durability like it was in the iphone video.

I was at best buy the other day and they didn't have any.. Might have to go back.
Our screens are very easy to break so screen protection is very important.

Look at Best Buy's website and check their inventory at the nearest store. I was surprised they had them because on Zaggs website there back ordered till the first week of October.
We tested it out at work last night product is legit. We tested it on a Galaxy S3 since I saw this post on google I registered but noticed I need to make 10 posts to be able to post a link to youtube but just search youtube "ZAGG InvisibleShield Extreme Galaxy S3 Test." or type "youtu.be/GBRa8o3R1hE"

Note, after reading up on these there is a Note on Amazon that they are WATER based install. I personally won't use that type.
Folks, I had one on the back of my Nexus 4 to protect the glass from scratching. I loved it. Not only protected it like Zagg, it doesn't feel like it at all. Totally worth it. And it was a water based application too.

You're running the new 1.29.401.13 or later firmware? That's supposed to help. You can't be running a custom kernel either; you have to be running stock kernel (for now) to get the touch improvements until HTC releases what was missing from the last source update. If you are already running the latest 1.29 on stock kernel, there's nothing else that can be done at this point, short of trying a different brand of protector. Based on the comments I've been reading it seems as though some screen protectors are much better than others at passing through the human finger capacitance to the buttons. It would appear that the plastic material that some companies are using is interfering with the capacitive sensing of the somewhat insensitive buttons on the One.
Will I'm completely stock so I'm on 1.27

I'm using the Spigen ultra colored too, and I've got fmno problems at all. Concider returning it if you haven't got the 1.29 update or wait untill HTC releases next version of android or new update (maybe around late june?)

Was having the same problem with the Spigen Ultra Crystal until I rooted and updated to a ROM (Android Revolution) with the 1.29 update. With the update the capacitive buttons are perfect.
You might have to just wait it out until you have the official 1.29 update.

Sgp ultra crystal and fosman both made my keys pretty much useless...then I bought "amfilm" invisible on Amazon and the keys haven't given any trouble at all since, they work every time I hit them. Some reviewers for the amfilm are saying the same thing, that their keys work great since switching screen protectors. The amfilm are pretty much exactly like the sgp, only they cost way less and you get 3 for 2.99. But "techmatte", the seller for the amfilm, has a coupon code on the page for the screen protectors that will give you $2 off, so you'll only pay .99 cents for a 3 pack. Worth a shot.

Wow thanks for all the great responses guys. I think I will just suck up my $15 loss on the protectors. I don't really want to root my phone :/ I find the upkeep for rooting is just tooo much.

I just edited my post with the link and code for the $2 off....don't let the price fool ya, they are awesome! You can't even tell you have a screen protector on, it's invisible, and it feels just like the glass, your finger glides smoothly.
Oh, and they fit the screen perfect! The seller recently revised them, before they were a little short, about 1mm on the sides, now they are edge to edge. And they have a lifetime warranty!

Yeah I've heard the same thing, that the update fixes the issue. Sprint has their update rolling out now so I'm going to check out their forums, if they have one, and see what people are saying about it and whether it fixed it.

Omg. The experience is so different without a protector. I just checked my amazon and the order was actually 20 bucks so I will return them.
Also. The ultra crystals didn't fit all the way either. You can really notice these protectors because of where the swipe down notification bar is.

Sprint is a different version all by itself. Tmobile ATT and international can all use the same ROMs no problem.
Oh ok. I used to like sprint :/ lol
Tmobile has nicer retail stores though.

I find those 2 1 star ratings ridiculous, I'm thinking they had no idea how to put on a screen protector. I'm a screen protector junky, I've tried eBay junk to sgp glas t and I'm telling you, these are fabulous. Imo anyway, don't come hunting me down if you end up hating them.

I have seen/heard many things about the double-dip case for the HTC One (which I'm picking up next week!), however I am trying to find & buy the black/grey/black double dip case and can't find it anywhere! If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would me much appreciated.
Also, does it even exist/is it out yet? Almost everywhere I look I only see the red/white/black one, but on HTC's official site, the 4th picture accross shows the one I'm looking for.
Again, any help is appreciated.

I did read here on the forums that some people's phones were scratched because of it, but that the cause was remnant plastic from the speaker grill holes.
Also, I don't think it is too badly overpriced. Maybe by $5. Most of the other slim cases sell for around $20.

The HTC One itself does bear striking similarities (and I'm getting the black one, so even more so) to the iPhone 5 already, I don't really mind that. After all, everyone tries to copy the iphone in some way or another. Just look at Samsung. Plus, the case is basically the same as the back of the phone itself. Just a little added protection .
I have double dip case and it hasn't scratched my phone. Picking up the case-mate tough case to go with all the others I have. It's an addiction!

Is Black/Grey/Black Double Dip case no longer available ?
I have the black body with grey top and bottom speaker grills also black top and bottom speaker grills
This way you can have black black black or grey black grey combination

It's a super tight fit so make sure your screen protector is thin (if you have one) and NO SKINS

I haven't seen all the colors from the official HTC site so I was the wondering what the build quality is.

So I bought the grey/black one from that seller. Build quality seems solid. I have never played around with the red/black/grey one so I can't compare.
Fit was snug but no scratches. Volume buttons are a bigger pain then without the case which says something since they already weren't that great. Everything else seems pretty good. I like that it doesn't add much bulk to the phone.
Won the auction on the 19th (Friday) and received the cover on the 30th (Tuesday). Not bad considering it was an international delivery.
