Kik and WhatsApp do this, but the recipient needs these apps too.
Handcent, Textra, Hello SMS, Now SMS look like they run through text messages.

I'm looking to see if anyone uses a third-party sms app that they prefer over the stock? I've been looking at some of them and I like the sound of go sms just not having to buy additional stuff for it. I'm also looking for one on top of running well, that has the capability of working with an iPhone users group mms, cause right now when someone with an iPhone sends me a group message it only responds to the sender not everyone.

I would second that. It's got great emoji support (gotta' download the separate Textra emoji plugin) as well, and notification options, etc.
Really the best, IMO.
Cool thanks, I'm gonna give it a try

You know how we can receive a message using Qpair than we can respond?
Is there a way or a app that we can CREATE a message from our Gpad and send it to the phone, than the phone sends it out to the person?
Thanks for any help....

Another vote for mighty text. It also has a chrome extension so you can do the same thing on your computer

I'm using the Virgin Mobile variant of the 816 and running Cyanogemod 12. Recently I have not been receiving MMS messages and I am unsure on the source of the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The stock message app won't work. You have to use textra from the playstore and make it default app.

MMS is a little funky on cm12 because data is a little funky even with the flashed apn fix, I noticed no matter what app I used there would be times I wouldn't receive or download MMS messages.
Where can I find this APN fix?
