So I am using the "App Settings" Xposed mod to change the DPI of my Nova Launcher to be denser (yes, I know I can change the grid size and stuff, but I want EVERYTHING to be denser). Unfortunately, that seems create an offset of my Zooper "Hotspots" . I have my Nova DPI at default now, but is there anyway I modify the DPI while still having Zooper hotspots work?
Thanks.

Changing the DPI will undoubtedly mess with Zooper widgets. It might help if the icons and hotspot areas are attached the same anchor but, apart from that, there isn't all that much you can do to stop it playing about.
Besides, you only change the DPI once, so you only have to adjust your widgets once and that'll be sorted for good.

Yesterday I noticed that the Apex Launcher was updated. After the update my screeens have half the amount of icons that I had on them. I think the update changed the size of the homescreens so less icons fit. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I look at all the settings and I am not sure where this setting is...
Thanks

Are you talking about the homescreen grid size? Look for "desktop grid size" or something that would change the amount of columns and rows on the homescreen.
I don't use Apex, but it should be under something similar.

Every thing u will get under apex settings->home screen setting. Its a great launcher.
HTC wildlife S with CM9
change the grid size back to 5X4 in apex settings.
Yeah I experienced the same problem when updating to 1.2.1.
Fix is easy enough:
Apex Launcher Settings -> Homescreen -> Portrait grid set to 5 Rows, 4 columns
Maybe set it for Landscape mode too...
Fixes it.
Okay so I am wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the DPI for the S4. What does everyone consider to be the best DPI for the S4? Is there an easy way to change the DPI in cyanogenmod? I am currently using Infamous v5 with 340 DPI. I like the the fact there are more icons on the screena and such but it does look a bit off. Also is there a way to change the DPI per app, to fix some of the apps issues that come up?

1) I like 360, but some apps I will go down to 340.
2) In CyanogenMod you can still use the Xposed Framework and Per-App DPI settings using the App Settings module.
3) As for the icons, in your launcher make your grid larger, I use 7 columns and 6 rows at 360 DPI with 95% icon size and it looks amazing. All in Apex Launcher for me.

I have heard of issues for certain apps not showing up in the Play Store, is that a recurring problem?
Kinda dumb question, I have been trying to find a clear and easy way to install Xposed Framework on The Cyanogenmod Nightly on my S4, any suggestions or links you could send my way?

I have been searching for a few days on how to add screen grid sizes to the Touchwiz launcher. I cannot seem to find a good tutorial or information on this. I can find how to just change the default parameters to say 5x6 or 6x6. But I would like to make it so It can be an option to choose when you choose a grid size in the launcher settings. So instead of being able to choose just 4x4, 4x5, or 5x5, you can choose what ever I added to the options say also being able to choose 5x6, 6x6, 7x6, 7x7, 8x8, etc. I use a 420 dpi so it makes my Touchwiz take up only 2/3 of the screen. With added grid sizes this would no longer be an issue.
I think the way to add the options is in res/values/dimens.xml seems to create the layout of each grid
also in res/values/ids.xml seems to need to be pointed so it will show up in launcher settings
also in res/values/strings.xml seems to be so it will have the text under the grid icon
That is what I have found by just looking through some of the xmls. I need more help as to what I should add and where.

I have made quite a bit of headway with this. when I figure out the rest I will update.
Would it be possible to do something like that? The 4x4 grid is what I hate the most about Sense Home, and one of the only things that I dislike about it. Apparently, you can now get something like 6x5 if you change the display size to small.. but that's way too small for me to use.
Would changing the DPI work? I mean, I just can't understand. Many other launchers work with larger grids from default. And the U11 does have a larger grid by default. It's rather frustrating.

wherever you got that from i recommend you go ask them. otherwise the only way I am away is either a 3rd party launcher like nova, which i use all the time! or using a custom ROM that has a modded sense home
Hi,
I have a big issue with the fact that I can't change the app icons to the ones i want. If I try to use apps like Icon changer, i am warned that "Your launcher may not support creating shortcut via Icon changer ", hence I am not allowed to do so. How can i fix this ? I don't want to install icons from certain icon packs, I want to change them with specific pngs.
Thank you in advance,
Liviu
Use a 3rd party launcher, like Nova. Or wait for the developer to update Icon Changer. The phone has only been available for a few days, and I suspect a number of apps will need to be updated to support it.
I am surprised about the small icon size when you put a few icons in a folder. I change the resolution to HD+ but that makes them no much bigger.
Pixel 2 launcher show's much bigger icons using folders but I like somehow the stock launcher.
Any ideas how to make the icons in folder look bigger?

At first I was not that happy with Nova but.....
I found a backup for the S9 and did import and hat to tweak it a bit.
Here a screenshot of the touchwiz and one of the Nova launcher.
Touchwiz is the first thing I dump on a tablet or phone and I've used Nova since it first came out. Lately though I've been using Microsoft Launcher (formally Arrow) and like a lot if it's features.
