try to revert to stock rom. If it is still not detected then i guess it is a problem in the card slot because card reader could read it. Better bring it to service centers.

Ok I will try that.. Just tell me something..Should I relock the bootloader and then install stock rom or just flash it directly??.. Bcz the last time I tried to flash stock the process was stuck on 50% in Flashtool..
And one more doubt After I flash stock rom will the root access go??

You don't need to relock bootloader for flashing in flashtool..
Yes... Your root will gone after your flashing...
Try...
Best of luck..

CWM wont find zip

Hey guys
I wanted to update my rom before, never had any problems in the past. I have flashed many roms.
I flashed a new hboot (cm7r1, worked fine) but when i go to CWM to select the rom zip, no files are found.
I have re formatted my sd etc, the computer see's the zip file but the phone wont
Anyone?
Thanks
Do you search for zip via normal flash from SD card or via the update.zip-method?
Have you tried re-flashing CWM via ROM Manager ?

@OP: DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER! It's a horrible software which causes more problems than it solves.
A re-flash might help, but then do it via fastboot (according to your signature you are S-OFF, so you can use fastboot).
thanks guys
managed to sort it by wiping the sd through cwm
getting a new 16gb card today anyway
thanks for the help

You need to give a little bit more info.
What ROM did you use?
Have you got out of the bootloader and will the phone restart with the ROM that is already installed?

i used a normal HTC Marvel European rom that ihave been using a lot.
i installed numerous times when any other rom did not work on my phone .
now my phone has no rom i think........(as the new dotsense rom does not work)
in the white boot loader screen, it does not scan for any file such as PG76IMG.zip and stays as it is.
P.S. my phone came S-OFF if that is necessary
Try flashing original HTC ruu from the sticky titled 'shipped roms'
Flashing is done through your PC, you might have better luck that way.

you're saying you flashed roms = you have custom recovery !
so here is what you will do , get the ORIGINAL sdcard , mount it to PC through the custom recovery > mounts and storage , copy the desired PG76IMG.zip to the sd , reboot to bootloader and see if it asks for it ... please press the thanks button if it worked !

Download the ROM that you want.
Double Click the file to open the RUU.
Wait a short while and follow the onscreen instruction.
Good Luck.

Can't mound SD card. CWM recovery, Cyanogen Mod.

OK, I'm super new to this forum, so be kind!
I've rooted my Xperia Arc on 4.04 and unlocked the bootloader. Everything was working fine and as expected. I decided to install Cyanogen Mod 9.1 stable - Anzu on to my device.
I was using the official guide which I followed the guide to the letter, except for step 6 where I used flashtool's fastboot mode as I had previously had problems using the command prompt.
I flashed the boot .img over using the fastboot toolbox then unplugged my phone and rebooted into CWM recovery and continued to follow the guide as written.
When I got to step 11: Choose .zip from SD card, I got E: Can't mount /sdcard/ .
I've looked through other threads about it, tried formatting the micro SD etc, all to no avail.
I hope this is in the right section and laid out in the right way, first post and all!
Thanks in advance.
Not too sure
I AM not too much sure about the problem but you can try the following(IF NOT ALREADY TRIED)
EITHER OF THEM
1. CHANGE YOUR SD-CARD
2. RE-INSTALL KERNELp)
3. RE-DOWNLOAD THE CM9 AND PUT IT ON THE SD-CARD
(ALSO CHECK WHETHER YOU CAN ACCESS MEMORY CARD FROM YOU ROM)
PLZ HIT THANKS IF I HELPED:good::good:
just download and use SDFormatter 3.0 to format your SD card
it works for me ...
if not , you must use Flash Tool to Flash Kernel & Offical Rom too

So, if you have unlocked BL and different kernel you can return "official" just flashing an official ROM (like 4.1.B.0.587) ?
No problems of brick ? Only with OTA update ?
Thank you
Flashtool is designed to work with unlocked bootloader so flashing stock ftf is perfectly safe. Only OTA update can brick your phone.

[Q] HELP! Stuck in SAMSUNG boot screen

I just bought a SM-P600 last night. Today I bought a 32G memory card for it. I could not move folders to the memory card because of the BS SELinux crap. What's the point of having external memory if you can't use it? So, I rooted the phone with no problem. Then I tried to install a SELinux Permissive kernel. That's when it got stuck at the SAMSUNG boot screen. I have tried everything that I can think of. I couldn't find a stock image to load via ODIN, so I installed TWRP Recovery and Android Revolution ROM...ROM says it installed fine, but still stuck on animation screen. And, now I can't get into TWRP.
So, can I do a complete reflash via ODIN? And if so, where do I get the stock ROM from? All of the ones that I've found are from other countries, and I can't even get one to download successfully....the downloads keep failing.
Can I install an earlier version, then update to current from there?
I have been flashing devices since the days of Windows Mobile, and have never soft bricked a device....
Please help...I hope that I don't have a $350 brick...
There should be at http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
Double check the firmware version, then choose from the long list there.
You just need to sign up for the free account to download the zip file, then extract it and use ODIN.

[Q] stuck after installing firmware

i flashed new firmware to my htc one m8
I got into recovery and changed the name firmware file.
but now in the recovery it doesn't recognize my internal storage, kind of. it says 0 mb.
And when I try via adb to push a file to it it fails. (adb push filename.zip /sdcard/)
so it seems like i only have the external card now working.
what can I do?
I'm currently in the stage where i have the firmware file in the right name and it keeps asking me to update, if i remove the external card, i can get into recovery change the name, and then i see it won't read the internal storage like i wrote up here.
but after I change the name i can get into fastboot mode.
I currently have recovery mode - twrp 2.8.0.3
p.s I think my internal storage does work, cause i can go into recovery mode(twrp), my external_sd was formmated
before i used to update the firmware, so it has nothing except for that file
You're not flashing the firmware through recovery, are you?
No, i flashed, with the guide here, via an external card, changing the name of the firnware so the hboot would recognize it.. and update it

I was thinking that maybe my twrp version 2.8.0.3 is too old for this bootloader veraion maybe, and i need to update to twrp to 2.8.6 and then try to transfer the rom file and install it.
What do u think?
Do u have any suggestions?

I have TWRP 2.8.0.6. You can download TWRP manager from Play Store, it has a list of TWRP versions you can install. The app installs them too. Everytime I used the app to install it, it says it failed but it actually works, just install, then say ok to the failed install pop up and reboot into recovery and it'll be there.
Edit: As soon as the firmware has flashed successfully, boot up and delete the firmware file off of your external SD card so it doesn't keep asking you to update.

I have no OS now.
I need to download it, and flash it via fastboot. I'm wondering if that's the problem that the internal storage is giving me these problems or it has nothing to do with it.
Does a different firmware require different twrp versions?

Not as far as I know. Your best bet man is probably to download an RUU and just flash that through fastboot or the external sd card method. Then after that, flash the TWRP then put a ROM zip on your phone and flash that way.

No, an RUU is a complete system install. Completely stock with the exception of some RUUs contain root. But it will wipe everything on your phone, all your personal data and what not.
