Help Connecting with CDMA Workshop?

Hello, I finally got drivers to work while my EVO was in Diag mode, but it will not show me a com port, here is a screenshot.
I have searched all other categories and can't find anything.
It only shows up as My HTC in device manager, no more HTC DIAG
Please assist in this matter as I would love to connect with CDMA Workshop.

First of all Welcome!! I fixed your image for you. Look under ports in device

I have looked under everything and under ports is only Com1 which isnt it and printer port.

huh? I literally just installed the htc diag drivers and put the phone it diag mode (##3424#) and everything went perfectly and showed right up in device manager under ports (com 3). Took 2 mins... Not trying to brag.
try unplugging phone>rebooting computer>put phone in diag mode and connect usb

I understand that, I did that too and it worked. Then I rebooted and now it shows up as My HTC.... and no com port to choose from ((((

huh.. try right clicking and uninstalling my htc then reconnecting your phone in diag mode and running the drivers that way.

I did uninstall it, also chose delete drivers. Then I can see it show up as HTC DIAG without a driver. I choose the Driver for installation... It installs and just shows up as My HTC.

I attached the htc diag drivers I just used a little while ago. When it prompts you for the driver direct it to the win x86 folder that you unzip.

I am using Windows 7 64 Bit

ahh ok attached 64 bit then

This is the problem I was having before untill I searched and found someone that provided a VISTA 64bit version of the driver which is the only one that worked out of like 10.
The driver you provided will not install the HTC DIAG.
And if I use the Vista driver then it installs but automatically says My HTC.
--- Don't worry this is just my luck, nothing ever goes easy when I try to do stuff

I did the manual force install, now it's showing as HTC Usb Modem #2 under Modems, it's #2 even though there isnt another listed?
but when I click properties it wont show com

looking at this picture below, what you describe sounds right. Goto step 3 on the first link i posted above.

A quick question to you though, should I pay the $15 to have metro PCS flash my phone to where I get just talk and text or should I flash it myself? is the original flash hard? I have read some write ups on it but not to sure

but as for the roms I have no Idea, I know nothing about ROMs

Arc S "USB Device Is Not Recognized"?

Hi
So, i have a problem: My USB is not working proerly.
The phone has 2.3.4 Android
When connecting the phone to the PC, it automatically says "USB Device is Not Recoqnized", the phone charges, but doesn't connect.
Tried the PcCompanion, nothing happens. cannot connect.
I have tried multiple cables, and computers.
I used to put custom ROM's on it, and it worked fine. But then i decided to go back on the original ROM, and installed the 2.3.4.
Maybe that is causing the problem, or the kernel or smth?
Anyone know any solutions? Maybe it's just a driver problem?

Go to settings>sony ericsson>select mass storage mode and check the option automatic connection.

Still nothing.
But i have come so far, that when i plug in the USB, it doesn't say "USB Device Not Recognized" anymore, it just installed the phone as "Unknown Device".
Any help is appreciated.

Enable usb debugging in developer option and try nd even mass storage as I mentioned in early post. Is ur bootloader unlocked? If yes its written in some threads that if ur bootloader is unlocked phone wont be recognised by pc companion

May be driver problem. Not sure though. Tried connecting on another pc? Did it detect there?

In flashtool i do not get any errors, it just doesn't connect the phone in flashmode.
The green light on the phone starts to shine, but nothing else.

try flashing a different kernel

Found any solutions? I am having the same problem!

I have a same problem but my arc s is had a twice problem the first problem boot loop second problem unknown device and it will not worked ...
The device is not turned on to choice a usb mode ((boot loop )) and i cant boot to recovery mode
When i boot it in download mode or ((fast boot )) led is green lighting and the computer unknown device message ...

He is using a stock, unrooted phone.
And you don't know which android version he is running...
So why you recommend this mod?
I think with a stock phone it's not possible to do this.

I have 4.4.3 android. I can root if no another solution..

This has nothing to do with the launcher.
It's not possible with a stock phone.

Yes you need root after that sense toolbox or gravity toolbox with xposed

I tried to unlock yesterday, but my Windows desn't recognize usb device.
It say "Unknow device". Only charging work...
I installed many of drivers for Windows 7 64bit, HTC sync and also contacted HTC support and nothing solve my "USB not recognize" issue.
Changing 2 usb cables and nothing.
This is strange, long time ago when I connected all is worked fine. Now PC can't recognize.
I lost 4 hours and nothing........

remove HTC Sync not drivers Restart PC
reboot phone to fastboot / adb / recovery mode reconnect
if still show Unknown device try to update driver then restart reconnect

Last time I removed all (sync and drivers)
I will try remove just sync without driver.
And I'm not tried in fastboot.
Thanks for idea, I will report later what I did.

I tried this, tried on another computer and tried host mode but all methods can't see usb.
So I remember now, about month ago, I dropped my phone into small water, only part with connector.
After drying I tried to charge and worked, but I not tried connection to PC...
And conclusion, I must go to moblie service to solve issue.
If issue get solved, I finally can unlock bootloader....
Now good news: I solved problem with kill app.
I download Tasker app, set kill and restart. After that I created shortcut on desktop.
All works like charm! :good:

Can't find my device in fastboot mode

Hi, i want to unlock the bootloader of my old Redmi note 5, but there's a problem, when I go into fastboot mode, the Xiaomi's software can't find it, even using ADB the device is impossible to find. If I turn it on normally i can find it. Why it happens?

Hey u may give this a try as based on my understanding Xiomi devices will require u to install mi flashtool on PC as it has driver installation option. Remember some times you are required to disable driver signature verification.

I recently had trouble with fastboot as well. I eventually sorted it by installing the correct drivers, from here: http://bigota.d.miui.com/tools/xiaomi_usb_driver.rar
I don't remember having to disable driver signature enforcement (usually to do this you have to use an advanced boot option as shown in Option 2 here) but maybe it happened automatically.

U might be using an Amd based system. Usb 2.0 hub is ur solution

lool win10 sh1t... use usb 3 reg patch or usb 2.0 hub. Search it on xda forum.
Btw. There is no problems on w7 and linux lool.

Sony Xperia XA2 USB Driver (need help)

I got both the google usb drivers and the sony z usb drivers (since there are none for the xa2).
Problem is the installation, i forgot how to do it.
In device manager what do i do?
Add legacy drivers? Klick on choose from a list an select the .inf file?
I tried installing this driver for 1 hour any i'm burned out now..
All the websites explaining what to do are not going into details, or show only things that i have already done.
My phone is still recognized as unknown device.

Hardware management>usb>update driver> then link to pathway for stored driver. It should load if it's valid driver.
Something like that, don't have the PC in front of me.

I still don't know how to install these sony usb drivers on my windows desktop.

Insturctions anywhere? Can't get the drivers running, the pc simply doesn't recognize the phone..

In device hardware>USB (something like that)>update driver then direct it to the folder and the driver file. If it's a valid driver it will update.
If Sony has any PC apps for their phones like Samsung's SmartSwitch the driver will automatically load when you install the Sony app.

That's exactly what i did, still phone not recognized.
There seem to be multiple ways of installing drivers but what i did is not the correct way.
I've selected the correct file manually but it does not work.

Might be the folder/file location that's causing that.

Well this is not really helpful i'll try my luck elsewhere

Meaning not on the homepage folder. Put it on C drive in a folder named drivers downloads, whatever...

i have the same problem... i tried the links but they refer to the sony site... where the drivers for xa2 are not there... i tried other drivers but it doesn't work... all this on a pc with windows xp... on windows 7 for example it already works without installing any drivers
my mobile phone is seen by the pc and I can operate... only if I put it on tethering it doesn't recognize it... it sees it as "rndis" but it doesn't allow me to update the drivers
