Hi, I installed the ROM and GoogleApps followed. After the install ROM I realize that the 3G, 2G mobile networks doesn't work. Is there any solution for this issue?
cm-11-20140807-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip
PA-GOOGLE APPS (All ROM's) [2014-09-01]
Change system/lib/tee folder with this from stock JB ROM for your codina version, change right permissions like was before and reboot phone.

I changed latest codina version's lib/tee folder from cm-11-20140520-UNOFFICIAL-codina which is older version. Then i installed ROM again but It doesn't solve the problem. Where can I change the permisions. When i installed the same ROM's before, there was not this issues occured before. By the way when I installed again, I tried wipe/reset factory, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and then install again.

Like I said, you need "tee" folder from stock JB for your GT-I8160 ver. And you can swap this folder directly in ROM Zip's archive (via 7zip or something on windows), remove current "tee" folder and put yours in the same place and don't care about permissions.
Files in "tee" folder are modem (RIL) parts, different for GT-I8160/L/N/P variants of Ace 2. Defaults are for GT-I8160 in every custom ROM and cannot be used the same for other codina variants (modem unknown).
I have a similar problem. I installed cyanogenmod 11 from TeamCajinca http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2555021 and mobile data is very slow. After many trials and failures I managed to create an APN that works, but the internet speed is very slow compared with the stock android: only 2-3mbps. Does anybody knows the correct cyanogenmod 11 APN for Vodafone Romania or some other settings?

But I can't find stock JB ROM. I downloaded the JB ROM but there is I8160XXMH1_I8160OJVMH1_HOME.tar.md5 file in inside the zip. How can I find the lib/tee folder for JB? There is lib/tee folder in codina but not available on my downloaded JB.

Same problem here
Guys, I've got the same problem - after installing Cyanogen 10.2 by TeamCanjica my phone's GSM module doesn't work. It can see a data provider name from sim-card, but cannot find any network (says "no signal").
I've tried installing CM10.1 and CM 11 - all the same, no GSM/3G signal.
My radio module firmware (as shown on phone) is I8160XXLL2.
After reading this thread I have two questions:
1) (the silly one) can this broblem be caused by installing clockworkmod recovery?
2) (the main one) where can I download stock JB ROM for my phone? I tried to get it from here (only found ROM for I8160XXMG2 for Russia): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340849, but the download link is broken.
Hope we'll find a solution
Alex
I downloaded the firware from here:

Search for file: I8160XXMG2_I8160OXEMG2_SER.zip in google - This is the latest JB FW for SER (russia)
Is your Phone a SER Version?? Or from which country? EDIT Saw a bit late that you already found were to DL FWs
But before you proceed I recommend to flash your Phone with 3-parted SER GB FW to eliminate any wrong remainders.

I've got a I8160XXMG2_I8160QXEMG2_HOME.tar.md5 file (it comes in a zip archive with an SS_DL.dll). Will it fit?
And, speaking in other words, I should now install (or flash) a GB ROM, then stock JB and only after that CM_any_version_i_like?
Or better should i flash to GB, then to CM and replace files as said in this thread (modem driver files)?
Thanks!
P.S.
I haven't been on any forums since year 2007. And going back - this is amazing!!!

Thanks a lot for this, however, I'd rather try the actual leak file for now (not really bothered about my bootloader etc, which I unlocked but never got around to flashing a custom recovery).
I've found the original Russian forum, and the original leak file, but the instructions really aren't being translated very well by Google... There seem to be 4 update files in the archive, should they all be flashed, one after the other?
Path for the official A101 updating to ICS
Thanks to djinox of 4pda.ru. Original article is published on this site (russian).
Flashing through official recovery:
1. Download this archive. Unpack it. The archive contains 4 files numbered in the order of updating.
2. Rename update1.zip in update.zip and place it on the SD card. Flashing through official recovery.
3. To execute the 2nd point for update2.zip, update3.zip and update4.zip.
The firmware of ICS for A101 is received.
Thanks very much! And also thanks to djinox for the leak.
Wrong thread , sorry.
Can we please get something like this for the A100?
Hi I tried using the steps below to flash, no luck going to ICS.
Anything i might be doing wrong, i change each of the 4 files to update.zip and flashed it one by one, rebooting after each flash.

I had that initially. The actual ICS ROM is in update4.zip. You MUST do each one in turn. If you don't get the update, you did it wrong.
Thanks for the replies, I manage to get the update to ICS using CWM method, and almost bricking it, because I was on HC.
But all is good now. Thanks again

Asking for ROM Bugs
Hi all,
Anyone can tell if there are any other bugs in this ROM beside earphone problem please? thx
hello everyone,
Must say without alot of your great posts and walkthroughs i wouldn't of even considered the wicked things my little Gio can do. But i have seem to always have 1 problems when flashing my cell.
I get a "No Service" after 6 hours and can never get it to pick up my Virgin Sim card. I have tried GioPro 1.2 to 1.6, CyanogenMod 7 and 9 and even some Europe firmwares that are supposedly work with it.
So i am assuming that alot of these firmswares/roms don't work with Canada services or phones/areas or is this a common glitch in custom roms. Any help or direction on fixing a issue like this would be more then amazing right about now.
thank you all for your time
Vaughn

i have never thought of that, thank you so much. I will report back with my results!
ok this is where you guys start to hate me, tried figure out where to locate a stock baseband and i got a one package for giopro 1.0 (GioPro_v1.6.tar) and my stock firmware for bell/virgin phone (GT-S5660M_BMC_S5660MUGKG3_S5660MUGKG3_S5660MBMCKG3.tar) and finally my GIO_v1.0.ops.
but where about do i locate a stock baseband for the 5660m or am i replacing one files from the stock firmware (GT-S5660M_BMC_S5660MUGKG3_S5660MUGKG3_S5660MBMCKG3.tar) to the GioPro custom (GioPro_v1.6.tar),
i hate to be that guy but i been battling this for a few weeks.

Can you flash a ROM to get European 3G frequencies with a Canadian phone?
I could compile a .tar.md5 of the S5660MUGKG3 Baseband only if you want?
(Flash it through Odin)
Because I have a GT-S5660M model also, so I always keep a backup of Stock Rom in my PC.
SUCESS! for now that is.
I was able to create a AMSS only .tar for flashing using Cygwin Terminal and this command
cd /cygdrive/c/baseband
tar -xvf S5660MUGKG3_S5660MUGKG3_S5660MBMCKG3_home.tar amss
tar -H ustar -c amss > S5660M AMSS.tar

then was able to flash just the one package, seems to have left the other parts of the GioPro Rom installed.

Can this method be used to enable European 3G frequencies on the Gio?
Was having the same issues as OP - then realized I incorrectly flashed to 2.3.6 (for the 5660), now I'm trying to get back to stock 5660M 2.3.4 after downloading the S5660MUGKG3_S5660MUGKG3_S5660MBMCKG3 hotfile from droidangel - problem being it isn't a one file md5/tar... the rar contains like 9 files, image files and rfs. I've attached the rar contents.
View attachment 1132111
How do I use these files?? If it's not possible, does anyone have a lead on a one file for the stock 5660M 2.3.4 from Canada?
fyi, unrooted, unlocked
Thanks in advance
sob.... thought I had figured it out, went to samfirmware, got excited - their file was a different size from the droidangel...unfortunately same garbage, same list of image & rfs files instead of a single md5/tar

what a jackass I am
I'm only posting this because I have a low level of shame and I noticed a few others while googling who were having the same problem as me..hopefully this helps them
the solution and why i'm a jackass = i was unraring the tar file..hence the contents (image, rfs etc) which were not useable by odin
i was selecting the wrong file... trying to use odin to select one of the files inside the tar... after uncompressing the tar....
brutal... anyway, hopefully this helps others
Help!
Okay guys, Heres my problem... And I need guidelines because im new to all this. I installed the fake ics on my phone and because it started to limit what I could do on my phone I decided to go back to android 2.2. I used odin to go back but I think i selected the wrong Rom for my network and where I live. I live in Canada and I use Virgin mobile as my network. Now that I got Android 2.2 back I never get any network! How do I flash a new Baseband Version? and Where do I get the Baseband version for Bell/Virgin? Also If you could give me the download for The Official Android 2.2 rom and not a custom one.. it would be nice =)
It's going to be 2.3 (Gingerbread) and not 2.2 (Froyo) that you'll want to install.
There have been multiple posts and you should just have used the search function, then asked whatever questions you might have had left.
Get the MUGK3 stock ROM from here or samfirmware, flash it with Odin.
Again, simple, beginner stuff for which there are multiple tutorials. The search function is your friend.

Sobey, I got your message, but really this is the sort of discussion best kept in the thread. If you got your phone from VMC, it's a 5660M. In fact, a GT-S5660 would not work with Virgin at all.

You could make the "About Phone" model string say anything by editing the proper file. As I've said before: if your Gio worked with Virgin Mobile Canada at all, it a 5660M. The Europe/Asia 5660 doesn't have the proper HSPA bands.
Look up the differences between the different Gio models. Now. Use the search function.
There's also one or two tutorial threads here with both Odin 4.42 and the GIO_v1.0.ops file linked.
The stock rooted ROM I uploaded a while ago, as well as the OEM one from samfirmware.com are usually the "one package" kind. If you're unsure, open the tar (or tar.md5) file with a proper archiving program (7-Zip works well and is free open-source) and have a look. There should be many files, including but not limited to: amss, arm11boot, mibib, oemsbl, qcsbl, boot.img, recovery.img and system.rfs.
Quick recap:
Flash the MUGK3 ROM with Odin.
If the phone bootloops, got in the stock recovery and do a factory reset, in other words, reformat the partitions.
Done!
Hi!
For a reason, I don't have GSM signal on my AT&T r800at xperia play phone, using the custom ROM listed here
I'm using this ROM named as "FXP127-cm-9-20120630-UNOFFICIAL-zeus.zip" from that previous link.
Following this Wiki this is what I did:
1 - I just downloaded that ROM in zip format
2 - turned the phone ON into fastboot mode
3 - Flashed the boot.img that zip had inside
4 - I just wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and Installed the ROM.
All is working fine, except that I don't have signal... I'm wondering, did I miss something? or maybe it is not supported yet?
Thank you in advance, for any tip you might share. Thank you very much
Did you flash back to stock firmware first (ftf) before flashing fxp?
Solved... I didnt know that I had to flash the baseband.
Thanks!

And if I install sakuradroid JB does me need to install official XXMC8 before I install custom rom?
I've read that some people have only 550mb ram and JB need over 600mb so need to Install another JB before to get 600mb ram.

Now i'm back on stock JB with stock recovery, and it's stucked there almost all the time, so i can't use temporary CWM to do backups/restore or install new kernel/roms.
Please help me

Begin from scratch and flash 3-parted GB FW according to you phone (with odin)

Then JB and then CM if you want... But Data is away.. Please keep this in mind.

I've already flashed with Odin to stock FW, already wiped everything, still same bug. Now i have a new ChronoKernel and this bug happens less often. I wanted to format /boot partition, but kernel and CM already do that.
That's what i've done:
-Stock JB with stock kernel flashed with Odin, bugged
-Stock JB with ChronoKernel, bugged
-CM 10-11 with stock kernel, bugged
-CM 10-11 with ChronoKernel, bugged
I don't think i can solve that flashing a GB FW, i've used JB from samfirmware, it should do the same.

Belive me This is not a "normal" GB FW!!! This is a 100% complete FW which overwrites everything on your Phone!
Flash 3-Parted GB, Flash JB for your Phone and country, Flash CM you like!
Keep in mind that your Data is lost in this case.

NO - These are never complete FWs - They are containg only parts of the whole partitions from phone.
If you do not belive me I cannot help you

Sorry, i think you are right... I didn't notice it was 3-Part GB. I'm still not sure if i want to do that because i have a stable CM 11 right now.
Btw, I flash 3-part GB with odin, I flash JB with odin, then CWM right?

YES - This is what I wrote ("Flash 3-Parted GB, Flash JB for your Phone and country, Flash CM you like!")
But if you have stable CM there is no need!

Did you flash the 3-parteed GB FW with ODIN adjusted like here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426437
WITH re-partition and the three seperate files?

Yes, i did it. I used PIT for re-partition and PDA, Odin didn't allow me to use CSC, but i think it's just for custom softwares. It well all good, but bug is still here.
It's like my phone is broken now, i made another post about the battery drain i have since i installed ChronoKernel.... dunno what's wrong
