Flash through adb stock recovery. Put update.app B125 in dload folder on sdcard and press volume up + volume down + power button until the phone starts updating.

For downgrade from B506 to B125 you will need a middle step. First flash that: https://mega.co.nz/#!9oEHUTiR!uVKEq6PYefO-p4_kJcJpHw2luWZT8QZ5yrnedx4rug4 via stock recovery, after that you will able to flash B125.

Not true. LOL The middle step it's a EMUI ZIP. That's so crazy. Man, don't make people follow your nonsense advice.

alex.79 is right, you can't downgrade directly from B506. That middle step is needed. So the nonsense advice is yours.

No such step needed, you just try to make downloads with that link.
Tested without that step and all went well.
I've downgraded twice but never used that file. What is true (if i remember well) every time, at the firs boot, phone got stuck at logo. Installed the same firmware again and worked. At the second install, i think the script saw that something was not in place and did a factory reset. Maybe a factory reset should be done before downgrading.

Actually, this method works. I did not need the middle step. Just put the download update.app in the sdCard root AND in the dload folder, and then do a stock recovery boot.
In fact, I used the systems local update and got B125 no problem at all.

This method worked for me.I had in my p6 the chinese B507 firmware with stock recovery and no root..I believe that with B506 is tha same way..(Do it with own risk..)[/B]
Ok..Lets begin..
a) Download P6 B510 Official zip
b) Download P6_Unicom_EMUI2.0.zip
c) Download P6 B132 Official zip
The steps
1)Do a factory reset(I dont know if that is necessary but i did it)
2)Install P6_Unicom_EMUI2.0.zip via Local Update(Extract dload folder in internal storage)
3)Install P6 B132 Official zip via Local Update (Extract dload folder in internal storage)
4)Rename the B510 zip to update zip and install direct the update zip again via Local Update(Don't extract anything from this)
5)Do a factory reset again if you have problem with batery drain or something else(Of course is optional)
This is the process that i follow without any problems
I couldn't post the downloads sites because is my first post

Take out your sdCard, re-unpack the download you are using...sounds like it didn't unpack properly....put the update.app back in your sdCard in the dload folder, and restart your phone.
It does take a long time to boot and load but 25mins is to long. At most 10.
And don't worry, I've discovered that it's pretty difficult to brick this phone.

It happens sometimes. Just make sure you have the B132 (if that's what you want to flash back to) or the B510 (if that's where you're going) update.app in the dload folder in your sdcard and restart your phone.
Both take a while to get done so be patient. If it takes more than fifteen minutes however, restart your phone again. Make sure you have a full battery.

Sorry to bother you guys again, but i seem to keep failing in this normally 'simply task'...
See attachment for phone stats
So this is what i do:
1) downloaded the B510 from here: h**p://huaweinews.com/2014/06/ascend-p6-b510-official/
2) unpack the zip file (update.app, cust, meta-ing, patch, system are inside the folder)
3) I copy the update.app and paste it in dload on my external sd-card (transferring trough usb cable)
4) I'll go to the update app and click 'update from local'
5) There comes a pop up that mentions -shutting down- behind it I see a other pop-up telling -wrong- can't read the rest since it is behind the shutting down pop up...
6) applying update:
-checking sd update pkg...
-huawei sd card update fail.....
-cust copying files...
-copy cust files successed
FAIL
Does somebody know what i'm doing wrong? Would be really Thankful!!!

Well done actually!! All your steps are correct, and it's very easy actually!
You're on B111! Find B125 (Huawei news or Huaweiblog), repeat exact same steps.
Then do the same with the B510 update, you'll have no problem. And you're lucky the update REALLY rocks when you take it all the way from the original B111.
Enjoy, and let us know. One thing - I found that with B510 they remove the colour temperature slide from the settings menu.
I love my screen crystal clear and cool so I set mine on max cool and then flash B510.
So take a look at that and set to your taste beforehand. Onward!

Thank you, I did this (after soft bricking b132 i managed to do a factory reset then install the new firmware and now my P6 is running fine
Since everybody knows how to upgrade OTA or from LOCAL UPGRADE and go from 4.2 to 4.4 I've decided to let you know how to easily downgrade from 4.4 to 4.2 AND / OR change from Chinese to International Huawei Firmware!
The method I describe here, I've found in some German forums after long search. It really works! 100% tested on my device Ascend P6-U06!
!!! CAUTION !!!
Before you begin, you must be sure you have STOCK recovery, NOT TWRP one!!! This flashable files work and can be flashed only thru STOCK recovery!
If you have TWRP recovery and don't know how to go back to STOCK one, look the SECOND POST in THIS thread and follow the steps there, before you begin this procedure! ONLY after you're done with turning back your STOCK recovery and you're sure of that, you can continue with the following steps:
To Downgrade from Android 4.4 to Android 4.2 / Switch from Chinese to International ROM, do the following:
1. Download this (Unicom 2.0 Downgrade Flashable ZIP) and flash it thru STOCK RECOVERY - https://mega.co.nz/#!ZYVixBqa!JNMLRB2DUVKlGpZVqPJbIsdbVPijks7r1Mtk46KGrmE
This is a 240MB archive, also known as Unicom 2.0 - something like ROM, but it is not an entire ROM, but just part of it, that must be flashed thru stock recovery. You must unzip it, take the dload folder that is inside and put it on you sdcard. Than you can flash it like a local update thru the updater, or you can forcefully flash it - pres power+ volume down+ volume up and it will take you directly to flashing updates thru stock recovery. When you flashed it, you can once again boot normally into you Android device. Now you must take dload folder from the B132 zip (from the link below), once again put it on your sdcard and flash it again using the same methods again thru stock recovery. The cool thing is that the first little flashable zip allows you not just to downgrade from 4.4 to 4.2, but also change from China to International ROMs. So when you're finished flashing this thru stock recovery, flash the official international B125 or B132, wait for the system to install and boot into android. When it is finally booted, you can flash B510 or B512/513 - whatever you want. In my case when I downgraded to B132, after the first boot the system prompted me, that it can be updated directly to B520 OTA. I've updated and now I am once again with International firmware
2. Download this (B132 International 4.2 Firmware) and flash it thru STOCK RECOVERY ONLY if you already flashed the file in the step above! - https://mega.co.nz/#!5JkAzKpB!nFqfHIHfWo6EO4XPqjO3Gga6a3XWWnqqZxZDZpzAdWE
3. Boot into Official Huawei Android 4.2 firmware and check for update OTA. If you have one - install it. If you don't - you can flash B510 or B512/513/etc...
Enjoy International firmware line again! This method can also be used just to downgrade form Android 4.4 to Android 4.2!
Files are not flashable thru TWRP - please, use ONLY Stock Recovery!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please, hit THANKS, if this thread helped you!

Just try with the stock B510 recovery from the second post in the TWRP recovery theme! I think stock recovery is the same for all 4.4 ROMs and it doesn't matter which one. I recommend the one that I told you about! Should work! I was with Chinese B706 ROM and TWRP. To downgrade I've flashed the B510 stock recovery first and then - step by step as I wrote above.
thanks..will try to do that..

I have a question for you - I see that you modified the .prop file for the local channel, to get louder sound in headphones (from your signature). I've tried to do this today, but when I try to modify the file every time it says - cannot save changes, file cannot be modified, changes not saved! I have root and I've mounted / and /system as writable! I can edit build.pro without any problem and save the changes, but this file - I can't! How did you edited it and how can I edit it too?
Thank you!

did not work for me..
i made the following:
flashed stock recovery from b510
took a fresh 4gb sdcard with dload folder on it..inside this folder was the update.app from the unicom rom..
then turned off device..
then pressed power, vol + & - together and held it 'til the recovery screen with yellow writing appeared..
it started to flash..but on the point where the verlist check begins it tells me "fail"!!!..
so what to do now???
i know this procedure..did it with the b506 rom and it worked..but with the b635 rom it won't work..

Try to flash B706 Chinese EMUI 3.0 new Development edition ROM from the official Huawei web site. If you flash it over the B635 successfully, then you must be able to do this procedure to turn back into international line of ROMs and to B132 4.2 ROM. after that you can flash B510 again. Try this method! I'm pretty sure that it will be possible to flash B706 directly over B635, even than that in the official website it is recommended to update only from B508SP02 official chinese rom. I had success with updating directly to B706 from B512, but if you can't go from B635, try to flash B508SP02 first, than B706 and than downgrade! Should work! Good Luck!

No. No problems at all. I think just the upgrade took a little while that usual but it flashed like charm over the B512 without any problems! I think the flashing from B508 is just a recommendation, because the B508SP02 is the latest chinese ROM, and this B706 is Chinese developers edition...

That's right! Download the official B706 from Huawei EMUI website, unzip it, put the dload folder in you sdcard and then i recomend to make Local update first. If it doesn't want to update thru local update option in the Update Application, then try with forceful update - press and hold power + volume up + volume down and wait until phone boots into stock recovery mode! The update can only be done with stock recovery! If you're on TWRP, that you must go back to stock!

Is this method valid also for B513+EMUI2.3?Or maybe i've done something wrong?

Try to flash it forceful with holding all buttons together, or try to copy not only the update.app, but the whole dload folder from the archive. If it's not working, just try to flash B510 or B512 on top of B513 - this should work. After that you can try to downgrade to 4.2 again with the same method!

I follow carefully your instructions(part 1),i try to flash it with local update, but i get message "fail"
After that,in stock recovery,i didn't reboot, but i move to option "apply update from external storage" and after a few seconds i have messages:
-wiping cache (at package request)...
-formatting cache
-cache wipe complete
-install from sd card complete
-cust copying files
-copy cust files successed!
It means that the process has been successful ??? If yes then i proceed to downgrade...
If no,i'll try with your advice to flash B510 or B512 on top of B513...

The process is successful! You must now reboot an go in your android. Now you can copy the other firmware (b510) to your dload folder in sdcard and then try to downgrade! It should work fine!!!

Hello,
I upgrade form b118 to b707 and next to b708 my huawei p6, and I don't see I need b508 to go b707. My mistake.
Now my GPS don't work, I think it don't work earlier, but I don't sure.
I want back to b132 and lock bootloader, but I can not downgrade from b708.
I think I tried everythink.
First I try instaled UPDATE.APP which can downgrade from KK to JB, but I have vendorlist fail.
I wiped everyting, instaled recovery and boot.img from b508 and again try instal this downgrade UPDATE but still is vendor list fail.
I instaled custom ROM based on b508 and tried downgrade but again this fail:silly:. Please help, I haven't idea what doing now.
Sorry for my english, I am working at it.

i have downgrade from 708 to B132 as you said the font size is too small and I found the older version is better than the new ones. You have to flash recovery.img and boot.img throught adb procedure which you will find the details in this forum. After that you put the requested image on sd card and flash it

Hello together,
i got a MediaPad M2 801-W. It was running on Android 5.1.1.
So i just downloaded the 6.0 image for it. BUT i downloaded the M2-802Lxxx Version....
I dident know there are differne version of the Tablet....
The Updater just finished fine and the Tablet just started just normal BUT it is now random crashing and restarting the Os.
So i tried to install the correct version back but now the Updater in the os has no Local seetting to select the update.zip.
In Recovery the Updater works but dosent update the correct version.
It is verifying the update and than says "Software install failed".
Is there an other way to update the correct update to the tablet?
Sorry about my bad english....
Best Regards isi

Flash this in stock recovery through dload method:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5I_q70mNuR4N3JLTnNDYzBEYTg/view?usp=sharing
Then you need the stock 801W rom, extract the update.app and flash it through dload. Then it should work and flash back to stock.
Thank you but your file has only 21kb is this right?
When i put the file in the dload directorie and boot with power + vol up + down the installer is verifying something installs it to 36% and aborts again. =(

Okey for those who did the same **** like me:
First download http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=74723&version=273368&siteCode=tw
Than downgrade to this version.
Now you can update to the corect 801-w Android 6.0 version.
Me too install wrong update I have MediaPad M2 801-L, But i downloaded 6.0 the M2-801Wxxx version and got a MediaPad M2 801-W after install update.zip. Updater in the os has no Local setting to select the update.zip. I try downgrade to 5.1.1 M2-801Wxxx version by three buttons, flash stock recovery. But on choose language button "next" not working. Continue try install different stock flash...
Sorry about my bad english....
Just what I needed.
You literally saved my tablet. I had the exact issues (stupidly installed the 801L Marshmallow update on my 801W, which resulted in the non stop rebooting every 5 minutes). Nothing was working and no other roms were being accepted until I came across your post. I made this account just to thank you! The tablet was brand new and was lying boxed and unused for 3 years, so thought I'd use it
Just in the unlikely event anybody else faces this problem, just wanna add one clarification to Isipisi281's original post; to get the first step interim update to happen, make sure you unzip the update file first, then find the update.app file and paste that and it's accompanying folder into the dload folder in your directory, or else the update will fail. The rest is clockwork.
And PS, the M2 runs amazingly after the marshmallow update. Noticeably smoother, snappier and even more frugal with added android features. Highly recommended.
Thanks again!

I don't have the file anymore. Maybe someone in this thread still has it? I'm pretty sure is was the downgrade script to be able to downgrade.

Yeah, welcome to Huawei world. They don't make it easy to go back to stock on the older devices.
