TWRP won't flash CM 11 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have downloaded the CM11 package from the Cyanogenmod website and the Gapps from goo.im. Whenever I try to flash any of them, I get an error with E: and whatever usually comes after that with Failed in red. Does it have something to do with being on rooted stock KitKat? If you can help, thanks. The stock lags badly and the battery drains fast.

well did you download the D2LTE version of CM11 and check the MD5? also have you tried with other recoveries? you can also try Wicked X 8.0 or Tribute Rom which are based on stock

[ROM][4.4.2][OFFICIAL] CM11 Nightlies

I haven't seen a thread yet for this so I thought I'd post for those that need it.
http://goo.gl/79ztJ7
This is the link to the official site and download list for the Sprint Galaxy s3 only. I am not the developer nor have I compiled anything on this list. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Also here are the recommended gapps...... UPDATED(I recommend full modular package)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Installation instructions:
CLEAN FLASH:
-full wipe(necessary if new to cm 11 official nightlies)
-flash rom
- flash gapps
-flash a 4.4 compatible kernel(optional not necessary) I use BMS
-wipe dalvik and cache
- reboot and enjoy
DIRTY FLASH: (probably not recommended but I do it)
-wipe dalvik, cache, and system only
-flash rom
-flash gapps
-flash kernel if using a custom kernel
-wipe dalvik and cache again(not necessary but I always do to be safe)
*You may flash using the latest CWM or the latest TWRP recovery.
**ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU WIPE JUST IN CASE
The link is for all releases. Check daily. ENJOY:thumbup:
For those who prefer custom kernels, here is the recommended kernel:

My first "First" post and someone has to take the wind out of my sails
I did see the other two releases for CM11 (SmasherX and the Unofficial) but I didn't know if CM was officially going to support our device. So I'm glad an official release is out and has the CM team and Bad.Fish behind it.
So thanks to both of you for getting CM11 into our hands so I can harass my phone by saying "OK Google"
Working great for me. Does LTE work? I cant test it here.
Has anyone gotten the built in wifi tether to work.. Bluetooth teether works but I error out when starting the wifi teether. Just wondering if this has been enabled yet in the nightlies.. Any help appreciated. I have searched the threads and no mention of it thanks

Running the CM-11 12-8 nightly with CM-KK Gapps, flashed with latest TWRP recovery. I think this might be running better than 4.3 ever ran. Everything is working well that I have experienced so far. Been running for 3 days. I am running Dalvik. Tried ART. Can't say that I noticed any speed improvement. I did get a single error popping up. It was something about Google text to speech. That was the only error I got running ART on my current setup. This is awesome. Wasn't sure if we would get to experience KitKat on thus device. Thanks.

Thanks Bad Fish. Can I just reflash the ROM with the proper gapps clearing Dalvik and cache or do I have to do a complete wipe of everything?

Unable to install [4.4.2] beta2 DN3 (Ditto Note 3) ROM from E-team

guys please help me out as i'm new member i cannot post it in concern thread., i have tried to flash DN3 v4.1 BETA2 with philz recovery 5.15 and my installer ends like this (attached image of my device) it doesn't even run aroma installer and after reboot of installation i just stuck with samsung boot animation for a long time more than 20 mins..
First of all you have to update can to version 6.19.3.
When choosing install zip you have to check that the old binary is allowed to be updated. Than it should work.
Here you go for the right post!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51078746
Otherwise you can use twrp instead of PhilZ. It's working properly on 4.4 Roms!

I agree it's best to flash the ROM via twrp 2.6.3.2 and under "wipe" go to advanced and then select the first 4 options to wipe and then re install the ROM ,also you wont get that "(x) update old binary" message when using TWRP,also v4.x of DN3 rom is NOT aroma

i suggest you try flashing 4.3 samsung TW ROM or try aosp CM11 based 4.4.2 ROM,use twrp 2.6.3.1/2.6.3.2 for them as well, let me know if those flash fine for you.Thing is many users have been reporting that this ROM doesn't flash correctly for them even after following all the steps correctly. The rom is in beta stages so bugs are there,in the mean time go back to 4.3 TW rom or if you want a taste of kitkat flash this rom which i use from time to time when i get bored of 4.3 samsung roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336271

[Q] Tasker call forwarding does not work in KK4.4.4

Hello,
I have a Galaxy S4 Mini LTE version and installed Carbon ROM Kitkat 4.4.4 from F4k (this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2642488).
Now I installed Tasker from the Playshop. I want to do a call forward with Tasker (triggered ny NFC).
when the task is started (manually of by the NFC app), Tasker claims that call forwarding was correctly done. However, call forwarding is not set up as it should, it seems that nothing actually happened with the telephone itself.
What could that be? possibly KK 4.4.4 is too restriced now?
Maby somebody has an idea, I searched and did not find a solution yet.
Cheers, Frank
You should ask to carbon developer they may have an answer for you... Btw remember carbon rom is a custom rom and they could have some bug.. You should try an stock kk 4.4.2 for your model..

I thought, that root is not really possible with the kernel of the stock ROM.

Thanks for your feedback. I was waiting for a new kernel for KK4.4.2 of Stock ROM.
I will first try Stock ROM 4.2.2 to see, whether my original problem is solved by that. If so, than I may try version 4.4.2, need to check how I can install that on my phone. . .

Sammobile.com then firmware and introduce your model this case (GT-I9195) and it will appear the stock available for your phone!
