guys please help me out as i'm new member i cannot post it in concern thread., i have tried to flash DN3 v4.1 BETA2 with philz recovery 5.15 and my installer ends like this (attached image of my device) it doesn't even run aroma installer and after reboot of installation i just stuck with samsung boot animation for a long time more than 20 mins..
First of all you have to update can to version 6.19.3.
When choosing install zip you have to check that the old binary is allowed to be updated. Than it should work.

I agree it's best to flash the ROM via twrp 2.6.3.2 and under "wipe" go to advanced and then select the first 4 options to wipe and then re install the ROM ,also you wont get that "(x) update old binary" message when using TWRP,also v4.x of DN3 rom is NOT aroma

I was able to flash the ROM via twrp latest version and I always wipe the way you said. However the ROM doesn't boot up.. Its just stuck at Samsung logo. Waited like 15 min. I have tried more than one 4.4.2 ROM but they don't boot.. I don't know why..

Try re installing DN3 V4.1 again via clean wipe ,users in that thread have reported it flashed for them after 2-3 attempts,if it still doesn't boot for you report this in that thread and someone would be able to help you

i suggest you try flashing 4.3 samsung TW ROM or try aosp CM11 based 4.4.2 ROM,use twrp 2.6.3.1/2.6.3.2 for them as well,let me know if those flash fine for you.Thing is many users have been reporting that this ROM doesn't flash correctly for them even after following all the steps correctly.The rom is in beta stages so bugs are there,in the mean time go back to 4.3 TW rom or if you want a taste of kitkat flash this rom which i use from time to time when i get bored of 4.3 samsung roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336271

well the developers are working hard on it and trying to make it more stable,so in the meantime get a working ROM on your note 2 and keep following the DN3 for updates,that's what i've been doing i haven't flashed the DN3 Kitkat rom at all,just been following the thread and reading about bugs and fixes,reading what people got to say about ROM and just keeping myself up to date .Personally i am waiting for @mannyvinny to release the 4.4.2 Version of the leaked ROM,i've been using his 4.3 TW ROM and never had any issues and his themes/mod are awesome.The thread to his link is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593200 ,bookmark it and i think by next weekend or so he'll have 4.4.2 v1 up !Good luck:good:

Here is the E988 version of the 4.3 ( CM10.2 Base ) ROM ,
THe Rom has a lot of elements from S4 and few other devices
Due to time restriction I am not able to update everything..
Apologies but this is still a CWM restore based...
install instruction
just unrar the file
copy to sdcard\clockworkmod\backup
go to restore and select the folder and restore.

I have to ask you because i flashed Official CM 10.2, my phone always restart automatic every time screen turn off.

Oh OK cause I have the e980 so will I have issues cause I tried the official and unofficial cm10.2 and carbon and had this issue on all 3 roms.

you can always just clear the defaults of the launcher so you will get back the CM launcher its stil there i havent removed it... so is the lock screen as well

Yes, I just remove Lock screen GS 4 and clear launcher to default.
Try for some days, find out the issues if have and report later.

Hey anirudhks, can you upload a TWRP restore based???
Because, i use CWM to restore your rom into my phone after install TWRP to backup rom 4.3. But when i restore rom by TWRP, it always restart automatic. I don't know why.

I only keep stock software because non of the custom Roms offers the smart stay screen or smart video or dual shot camera and dual video recording feature that the stock ROM offer. Until those things aren't put in to a custom ROM I most likely not gonna at least as for my daily ROM switch to a custom ROM. Just to many awesome features missing in custom ROM vs the stock ROM.

Please go to "settings/more/about device" and check the build number and the baseband version. They should be the same version.
If they are not the same, that is what is causing the "prevention notification" you are getting. Most likely the result of going from a Tmobile Rom to this MetroPCS Rom. They each have different basebands. There are two possible fixes I've read about.
The first is the easiest, just flash the Tmobile rom you were using before. That should take care of the wifi and "prevention notification" and different baseband issues. This means you cant use this rom though.
The second is more time consuming but if you really want to get this metroPCS Rom running this is what you need to do:
Go to this thread Unofficial M919NUVUAMF2 Working!!!! and follow the directions to return the phone back to MetroPCS 100% stock via Odin.
Then install the recovery of your choice, OUDHS, TWRP, CWM, whatever you prefer.
Then flash this Rom again.
Let me know how it works out.

Thanks for your help and you are absolutely correct! Unfortunately there's no radio zip to flash for our phone and I have yet to make one. I'm no dev, I just follow directions reasonably well. I have yet to find a guide to make a flash-able radio zip and honestly, I'm working on something else at the moment, so I haven't really looked. For now, the fix I gave is the only fix for this issue. In the future that will probably change. Thanks again for your assistance

Tmobile TWRP is what I use too, though there are versions that dont work properly for our phone.
Version 2.5.0.2 is definitely working for our phone.

strange things are happening
I never had this problem before, I have downloaded the zip 4 times thinking I did something wrong with the process as simple as it is .lol
Used the stock my files app to copy the zip to the 64gb external sd card and even this last time I created a couple folders and put it in there although when I boot to recovery and factory reset then chose zip fromexternal sd card its not there and whats weird even more is I see an older file that I have deleted several times back again, its the root_zip I used with odin to originally root the device. Crazy huh I think the sd card must be damaged.

DITTO from ELECTRON TEAM is one of the CUSTOM ROMs has Note 3 features on it and it is a great project made by E-Team. There are other 4.3 CUSTOM Roms that you can port 4.3 note 3 features. Just research on it sir. Try to go to this link:

today I try to hurricane v5 and dn3 from electron team flash is successfully but after I setup a phone use restart the phone is stops is not loaded its just in white " samsung galaxi n7100 " I was waiting 20min but nothing change. so I use twrp to try again but now is need password but I don't have any.
this happened on both ROMs
do anyone now what happen and help me please?

Do you know how to flash another recovery? I never used twrp before so i don't have idea about the password came out in the recovery if the white logo stucks it is considered soft bricked but dont panic you need to reflash your twrp. If not reflash another custom recovery like Philz recovery 5.15.0 then if not pull out battery for 30 seconds then try to flash twrp again. If the password exists report back. Hope it work.

Before rushing to do anything, please research alot especially how to backup your EFS, otherwise you may end up with a wireless phablet without a phone. Worse you could end up with a brick

ya i know actually i flashed few stock roms using odin previously but never custom roms using those cwm or those stuff just rom n odin that did the job for me but am eager to get those air command so what reading forum of dr ketan and sunnys guide also after completely reading ill move forward

Thanks I think same a TWRP is a problem
because I wipe and doing factory reset and flash backup cm10.1.3 and now every think work and not password on TWRP. I try update and tell you if work.

bro a quick question lil help will be appereciated i know am being a fool here but
ditto rom is touchwiz based right coz i read dr ketan n sunny both talked about 2 different ones one touchwiz based other non touchwiz based
so since ditto rom briings note 3 stuff to note 2 that means its touchwiz based right??

I have only used Dr. Ketan's ROM, and it's Touchwiz based meaning S-pen support . I can't comment on the rest.

hello..thats called a soft brick...try to use another cwrp like philz recovery..and flash the rom using that..or you could flash the rom using the old fashioned way..ODIN..u know right?f

yes...ditto use touchwiz from what i read on their thread..personally i never use ditto before ,just dr ketan and tigra rom.they both are touchwiz based too..hurricane is a touchwiz too..read carefully at their thread..each rom has its own specialty...personally i liked dr ketan cuz it has many tweaks and mod..anyway....happy flashing....

This alreqdy happened like 20 times on 5 different roms?! Is this a problem in my phone or can somebody help me please on how to fix this? Please :what:

Which recovery do you use? I've seen aroma freeze report in latest philz recovery, philz v15.5 has no error.

Just flash older 5.x version, the freeze is a known problem in Philz 6.x

[Q] cosmicCM 4.0 &4.1 getting stuck on Samsung logo after flash with philltz recovery
dear friends i am noob for the forum and my first question i need your help as when i flash cosmic cm v4.0 and 4.1 with phillz touch cwm recovery in galaxy grand it gets stuck at Samsung logo previously i was on cyanozenmod 11 rom please help me. I've wiped data cache delvik cheche already but no luck. Thanks in advance.

Try using the latest version of Philz Recovery. Or use the Recovery mentioned in ROMs OP. Hope you guys are flashing after a full data wipe.

I am using ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support,other roms work just fine,this one dosen't.

Do a Factory Reset from recovery before and after installation of ROM...If that doesn't work then use recovery mention in OP...
Download k2wl latest kernel and flash

Thanks for your valuable suggestion my problem has resolve today,by flashing k2wl kernel v1.7.6
Previously i was flashing v1.7.9 and 1.7.8 but prob. Not solved now i am happy to get this rom but found another problem that i can not change data setting for both sim as in other dual sim kitkat rom for our grand duos . Please give a clue for it. Previous version of this rom had this facility. Thanks in advance:good::good:
