When going into Developer mode, When choosing ART it reboots but then it is still on Davlik? Is there a reason it does this? I am currently rooted, so not sure if that affects the ART mode at all...
Do you have xposed? If so then this is why Art can't be enabled.

Yes i have xposed... Is there a reason why it prevents it?
I assume xposed is not supported by ART?
Yes this is the reason. My device has xposed and it does not let me enable art. I'm not quite sure but I think Xposed is not compatible with the art runtime.

I flashed the kitkat bootloader, philz touch, the flexnote rom and the new kernel that was released yesterday but i still cant log in to my google account. Not using the initial configuration or later using the Menu. I tried a full wipe, reflash all of it again and still nothing. When i flash the 4.2.2 it works.
Need help guys. Thanks!
Not able to add second user google account
Any news about the multiuser problem?
I am also not able to setup a second google account using this rom (full wipe, install from scratch, activated multi user using Xposed multiuser module)

im happy with it.
I installed Xposed and enabled XBlaster. The battery icon mod on XBlaster kills the battery icon change built into the rom which is kind of what I expected. However, the battery icons built into XBlaster stink. Most are lame and are the wrong size for the device. So I disabled the battery icon in XBlaster and installed XBatteryThemer but can't get any of the icons to show up. Just blanks out. So looks like I will have to either manually modify the icons in XBlaster or create a flashable that will work with the framework/systemui.
Has anyone else been successful using XBatteryThemer?

No, just select "stock battery" in xblast and then reboot. You will now be able to triple tap on the battery icon and use CivZ battery picker without losing xblast or having to mod anything.

No. But you can tap the battery icon a few times and it has 32 different icons you can use. Did you not like any of those? It's in civ's OP on the rom I believe.

install and activate the xblast module for xposed. There's an option in xblast to enable 4 way reboot.

Installed Xposed Framework (in settings). Then in Xposed menu go to Download and find the Advanced Power Menu module. Install/activate that, reboot, and should be good to go.

Hope I didn't mess anyone up.

hello,
since day one when I bought my m8 I rooted it, and a it was fine but sometimes the phone will just freez, i cant go back home nothing the screen wont respond.
i thought this was because of the viper rom so i tried another rom but still it freezes some times, it not a big deal but what the problem? anyone having this issue?
btw when i flash a new rom i wipe everything.
thanks
I'd just go back to sense at least it works properly. Must be a Rom or kernel issue.
I've seen that but not too often

I would guess so. Disable xposed for a few days and see if problem quits.

That's a littlebit wierd since it should SAVE battery...But anyways, not all apps works 100% with ART. I prefer Dalvik for now.

ART drains my battery 2 times faster than Dalvik
I chose dalvik because apps kept crashing and the phone lagged
Sent from my C1905 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
yes .stick to dalvik.

ART will make the device little bit faster. But many apps won't install or run
Since in 4.4.x ART is experimental , I would recommend Dalvic

Eh, I don't like those fancy schmancy ones, so I made something real quick, but thanks!
Back in the days when I used to sport CM11 (say around January), I tried the ART mode. Whatever apps I used on a daily basis worked with ART runtime. I'm an app developer, so when I used to make applications for clients, I used to test them in ART mode all the time and I had to add no extra lines of code for that!
Getting back to the point though, ART reduces some of the lag present in KitKat AOSP (yes, it lags even on Nexus devices), but I don't really see how its going to change the way you use your phone on a day to day basis. Even if you're a power user, you don't really need ART for now; the Dalvik runtime is capable enough (and has been for all these years). ART is in development stages and while it could significantly change things with the advent of L, what with the 64-bit support and all, it really makes little to no difference on our M with CM11.

99% sure that Lollipop only runs on ART. It's my understanding that Dalvik is no more.
You may have noticed that it took your phone longer to boot than normal resets or updates. This is ART on boot. Thats all there will be for L.

Haha, just realized this and then checked my post. ART is already running! Thanks for the replies.
I was watching videos on ART last night and wasn't sure if it was automatically part of L.
