Please use the search function on the forum next time. There are several devs working on a BL unlock currently, however we need to be patient. I am more than happy to wait for the devs to work their magic because when we complain and keep asking them to rush it comes off as disrespectful. If you look under the ATT general G3 section there is a OP about the BL unlock for all models, but we will have to be patient for the unlock.

There already is a thread about bootloader unlocking here

Also, if you post a question, please do it in the Q&A section

[Q] Bootloader unlock on Sony Xperia S with ICS

Hello. The forum search isn't working at the moment so apologies in advance if I'm sounding lazy. I've just taken delivery of a brand new Sony Xperia S which is locked to O2 UK and has the official 6.1.A.0.453 firmware installed on it. In the service configuration menu it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No. How do I go about unlocking the bootloader please? Many thanks in advance!
Questions go in Q&A section ...........

Unlocking Rooted phone

Hi guys
I have just asked o2 to unlock my samsung galaxy note 2 which is rooted. Is it gonna be ok to unlock it or is there gonna be any problems?
First wrong section.. Ask question in Q&A section.. I don't know why people never think.. "I want to ask a question.. Where should l post my question?.. In general(information section) or QUESTION AND ANSWERS"
Second.. By unlocking what you mean? The carrier? I don't know the legality of doing that in your country but there's several (free) tools in the play store to get carrier free your device..

I have seen the B option. It is only 2.49 which is nothing to be honest but I think you didnt get my question. I was thinking the unlock could cause a problem to my phone because it is rooted. I think it will be fine. Thanks anyway

Looks like they found the bootloader unlock solution.

Only for att now but im sure development will blow up now

You're not the dev, onlly devs can post THEIR original work in the original development section. Anyway, I'm glad there is a solution for the other variants to now flash recovery.
Please do not post non development related threads in the development section.
Announcements belong in the general section

excuse me, as I read here, they said that D851 are always the unlocked bootloader devices ??
D851 was always unlocked , but Sprint's, Verizon's, AT&T's variants are locked down. If I'm not mistaken, international variant has locked bootloader as well.

Would this help an unofficial unlock?

WELL Its actually not unlocking But it gets you the same (THINGS) you need from an unlocked phone
Any idea if this method will work for our G4 ?

Sadly bump is old news...it was patched in 5.1
So its not working for us ?

Delete this fake name topic...
you really should change the thread name!
i have an unlock bootloader, but still i was happy to see some good news, but not only its not unofficial unlock it also dont work.
IMO it can be deleted
Misleading title is misleading...
I've changed the title and moved this to Q&A. The title was very clickbait like, please title threads appropriately, this isn't buzzfeed.

Its not 150$ but theres a thread created in s20 and n20 forums. You can read the info on it there and theres a link to the website as well. Of course if you are talking about unlocking your bootloader
Can you link? I'm so not familiar with how to use forums

I suggest you read everything in the thread and on the website. Might be good also to learn how to navigate XDA as youll likely need to learn if you are going to want to root or do anything once unlocked since everythings on xda lol
