Qualcomm Battery Guru from market. It's made by Qualcomm. It will initially go into a learning mode for about a week to see how you use your phone, Once learning mode is over your will see a drastic difference in battery life

For my is One Power Guard:

best battery manager is the user. knowing how your phone works is way better than any app. most of those apps are pretty useless.
totally agree with Kimitza!

The two biggest power users are the screen and the radios. So, manually tune down the screen brightness and sleep timeout. Then install an app like Juice Defender to manage the radios. Done.
Getting 24-36 hours on a charge isn't hard. Getting more than 2.5 hours screen-on time (Android 4.0-4.2) or 4 hours (Android 4.3) is.

i don't use "battery savers". But i do use greenify and an autostart manager. For me,it's normal to have 3.5+hrs of screen. never had less. It's also very important the signal strength.Weak signal means high drain. If you don't use data(3G/4G),it's better to go for 2g network. It consumes alot less battery. But i just can't imagine someone buying this phone(or any other super smartphone) to stay on 2G only and wireless.
Hi guys!
I'm thinking of buying one of these phones but i really can't choose which one...

Reasons why? Have you done any research? Look up some vids dude, the G3 is a beast!
Is this an answer?? Of course i've done a research.
Videos, benches etc, are a point of view.
Daily use, reliability, stability, updates, support etc, may have a difference.
If you like to flash roms or at least have the option, oneplus one wihtout a doubt.

G3
3GB ram/32GB emmc
µSD card slot up to 128GB capacity
5.5" QHD display
13mp camera w/laser focus
Rootable with Stump (or purpledrake) , TWRP with Bump! Some carriers have patched the exploit so read up if you are considering the G3.
My G3 lasts 48 hours between charging with SOT of 5.5-6 hours of normal use at 60% auto brightness.. YMMV.
My G3 Antutu score is 41252 with no tweaks (see attached pic). YMMV.
I can sing praise of the G3 till I'm blue in the face, but ultimately, you need to decide what's best for you.

I don't use facebook, Lookout (at&t antivirus), disabled some at&t apps. I mostly use the G3 for emails, texts (not hangouts), youtube, flixster, web surfing and calls. I turn off auto sync. I sync mail manually. Brightness at 60% auto. I still have 73% battery left from last night's charge (see attached pic). The only thing I do different than most G3 users is that I use the Apple charger (I had a 3GS before getting the G3) instead of the LG charger. Like I said YMMV. I haven't experienced any of the problems other users mentioned in the G3 forums. I have the G3 on wifi mostly and phone signal strength varies between 2-4 bars.
Wow, if you shut it off and only turn it on when you use it battery life will be even better
. On a more serious note leave your autosync on, install a wake-lock detector, Greenify the hell out of anything you don't need to be waking up the phone, and see thread about greenifying Google Play Services in this forum. That will get you through almost two days without the inconvenience of turning off auto sync on everything.

True, Greenify will extend battery life, but also introduce its own wakelocks nonetheless. I don't have time to check emails every time a notification goes off. I rather check my emails several times a day. The majority of emails is junk anyway. I do check each text as they come in though. Anyway, do what's best for you.
the battery on my nexus 5x is very poor. battery saving apps do not help, neither does a custom kernel and using powersave mode, etc (that only made performance worse, no improved battery life). I'm always worried about my phone dying when out and about, even if i don't use it much (and sometimes i really need it!). any suggestions?

There's nothing that will dramatically increase the battery for you on this phone. If your achieve poor battery statistics with the stock rom, it's time to move on. Get a new phone.

I noticed that my nexus's battery life got worse. I bought it 2 months ago, on chroma + franco kernel i was receiving about 5h SoT, currently on stock /N/ latest chroma + franco i get max 2,5h....

Why was your phone constantly awake while the screen was off? Wakelocks, my friend. ...Unless you listened to music for 14 hours straight.

You probably have "Wi-Fi scanning" activated in the scanning options within the location settings (in the three dot menu). I'm not sure if it actually has a big impact in battery life, but I usually disable it, because, as far as I know, as long as I enable Wi-Fi, it will still use it to improve location.

Yes I looked at it too, I downloaded when i caught WiFi connection wakelock detector, and here results:
Screen wakelock (camera, because double power to run, So thats not weird)
And cpu wakelocks
Music was only about 2-3 A.M, later about 3-4 hours, but thats not on battery usage, but on wakelock detector already is noticed
P.S WiFi scanning in 3dot menu i had turned off, but it still on battery usage is as on, but took not so much battery (13 mAh) so I would keep it away

i also had massive wakelocks, seems like apps like facebook and viber has wifi modes that override the phone ones.
for viber its in general settings of the app, while i have deleted pos facebook and use chrome notifications for it. if you use the non mobile site you can receive/reply just fine without messenger

I return to oos 4.5 today ans try to not change ROM until i get a better battery.
Here my stats from today
If you know how to help, it will be great. Thanks you

You seem to have a weak signal in ur area.. Have u tried moving to some other area where u have a stronger network?
---------- Post added at 07:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:09 PM ----------
Also try uninstalling snap chat and see if it works
Try freedomos ce 2.17 and franco kernel and dont install any battery monitors for me only better battery stats is good
Also you can try using your phone in safe mode for a few hours and check

If there is no drain, then one of your apps is the culprit
How to use safe mode ?

May i ask how 'hot' your phone is? Your idle drain is awful. Try to use Greenify and Enable Shallow Hibernation + all on Wakeup tracker. Keep Agressive Doze on but don't enable Doze On the Go. Keep in mind Gaming asks quite a bit of your phone.

Depending on what OS you are on all those battery saving apps are pointless. Android and one plus put apps into doze the min the screen goes off anyway.
As stated above your signal is weak and that will cause your battery life to drain very fast. Plus 3 hours of SOT is not bad when playing a game (which will eat a mobile battery alive, this is why I keep games where they belong and thats on a console made for gaming.)

Custom roms will have it as well as it is now built into aosp. Greenify has been known to cause more abttery drain then not. Due to having to wake up all of the app more then once. Once for built in doze and then once each for every app you soo called have for battery drain.
In the end I think you will find that your signal is the biggest issue with your battery. I get about the same signal strength and my device doesnt last all day. SOT time is normally about 2-3 hours.
You think the signal trouble can be due to my phone ? this is a chinese version i think

I don't know. I know the one plus uses a weaker antenna setup then other oems. But it could also be your carrier. When it comes to signal there are hundreds of things that could cause issues.
As an example. I live right below a nuclear missile silo, so due to all of the extra crap they are doing it kills cell phone signal a lot. Heck GPS doesn't even always work.

I found the LTE band it not adapt for my phone, i try a cycle with LTE disable
To everyone that's been having horrible battery life on this phone and people didn't believe it, I've found the problem. Not sure what cheap parts they used but the 5g is the problem. I disabled my 5g and I was able to to go from 6 hours 100% -30% to 10 hours 100% - 30% with the same use. If you want to save more battery, just leave battery saver on. Disable the extreme battery saver though.
I've found that I'm able to use the phone for the whole day with little loss to function this way. Good luck to you all.

How did you disable 5G?
I have noticed improved battery life by disabling smooth display.
Doing so sets your display at 60 all the time.
the constant thrashing between 60-120 was killing my battery.
I expect this will be resolved in future updates
Don't forget to leave your display turned off, that freakin' bug needs to be solved asap!!1

some carriers don't allow you to do that (Fi, maybe AT&T, some in the EU etc etc)
just be careful using that dial code. I recommend anyone going into that setting, take a screenshot of the default "Network type" each carrier/region/country uses a different setting. there's like 19 different ones. you won't hurt your phone but it might cause a headache.

The only thing that we can hope for is the "General improvements in network stability and performance" listed in the changelog helps. Personally, I haven't seen more than 17% battery usage for mobile network standby over 24 hours.

It's very clear by now that Google outright lied about a bunch of stuff to sell this phone. Using cheap parts to sell a premium phone. The software improvements don't mean sh*t if the hardware got worse. Especially battery life and signal strength and consistency

From what I understand, the screen display (from developer options) uses SurfaceFlinger to show refresh rate but SurfaceFlinger can't show/detect anything below 60Hz. Anything below that can only be shown/detected by the display controller. So the screen display will only show as low as 60Hz even if it's at 10Hz.

i didn't elaborate. some carriers allow the change in normal mode, others in safe mode and some only in the dialer menu... and rarely, some in the EU don't even allow the change in the dialer menu to stay.
anyway, disabling Wifi Calling helped idle drain for me but it was only a 2 night test. went from 1.4% /hr drain to 0.3% when idle. that's a lot. too bad I need the feature.

Tell me why I would not want to disable Wi-Fi calling. I have been using it by default but I'm not sure if I'm benefiting it from it at all. So if it's draining my battery I would love to disable it. At the moment my battery is not stellar, but it could be much better since it's such a large battery.
They said they really need it. Depends on your signal situation where you make the most calls and texts. If your mobile signal is trash at home then wifi calling would offset that. If you aren't benefitting. Turn it off.
