P.S. I talked with HTC live chat and they confirmed that they dont have the kernel for it available yet
hello my name is Giorgio, and I have the same problem, I have my phone (Desire 816N single sim eu) flashed with grakernel. now I have a bootloop at the htc white screen.
I have tried many things, flash ruu, flash custom rom, flash with sideload, flash 3 different recoveries etc. nothing helps...
recovery says cant mount data or cant mount internal SD...
Flash with sideload say cant write data...

Hi friends
im new here so this is my first post, what i want is help from any android expert in solving my problem. see i recently got the HTC one X plus and unlocked the bootloader, and installed clockwork mod recovery and rooted my phone. now when i receive the offical jb ota update, i cannot update it and it says error and i abort the installation and reboot the phone. and by the way all this unlocking and rooting is done thanks to Hasoons2000 tool kit, bless that developer who made this toolkit. so after researching reading many forums and find out that we have to use stock recovery image for htc one +. to fix the problem , i cant find any One X + stock recovery image all i can see are htc one X stock recovery image. but i need the one specific to my phone.
Since i dont want to risk bricking my expensive phone. so guys if you have the solution to my problem please do help me out.!!
no need
First I want to say that this is not Urgent and that's not problem...
also don't make 2 threads you can still bump this up by posting in it...
I think that you don't need this update because it is for stock ROM what you still have left on your phone and you wont see big difference.
For new user you can flash other, maybe even better custom ROM that will make small difference, but you must read what you chose. If you like stock than go for new versions custom ROMs with stock design.
Or if you really want to check out new HTC update you can go back to stock make update and then ROOT again...
But then first find out what will be in that update maybe we alredy have it in custom ROM.
I also had that update but I like stock and I dont want custom ROM yet. So I live without update and with stock ROM. If i want update I have Nandroid backup of stock ROM without root . One thing what I will install on stock is Renovate Gaming boost app I also use twrp recovery because it is touch recovery.
Htc One X+
I need help getting a recovery i have my bootloader unlocked and i am on a mactonish computer. Can you tell me how you got the recovery, the links etc. thank tou for your time
Sincerly, SomebodyEpic
Hello !
I recently switched my good old HD2 (RIP my old "friend") for a HTC ONE X 32 GB.
Now i was reading about flashing a custom rom and today i thought i`ll give it a try.
I flashed Venom 3.7 and all got through smoothly. But i got one Problem
No Signal, and i cant search for a Provider in Network settings (all except Roaming options are grey)
My Provider is "Yesss" from Austria. Its a sub company of Orange Austria.
CID is VODAP120
my Hboot version is 3.14. and i did a Nandroid Backup. (I tried to restore already, but it just boots in Viper Rom again?!)
Anyone got a Tip or advice how to get Network running again? Or did i brick something now ((
Please help and sorry if it stands somewhere, i tried to find infos on forum but im not exactly sure what to do.
THX in advance !!
Syther
Flash the boot.img from the viper rom in fastboot mode, perform a full wipe in recovery and install the viper rom.
Or make a full wipe in recovery and restore the nandroid......
Always perform a full wipe before installing a new rom or with restoring a nandroid backup

Its possible to flash but you will only get as far as ESN/MEID & obtain 3G on different carriers with no box/device. (CDMA Carriers)
If you have a box/device that does the IMEI then you could possibly get 4G on AT&T (and T-Mobile soon) as this device and AT&T use 1900MHz for 4G. (T-Mobile is still working on this frequency & of course you would have to unlock the GSM portion for these two carriers; which there is a command to do so in one shot on here).
If you would like, you can actually use ClockworkMod to backup your device in the advanced options.
This is called a nandroid backup and can be restored to bring your device back to the exact format and ROM settings / style that it was before you turned it off to go into recovery.
Basically a mirror image of what your using is made and yes this works for any ROM, even stock.
If your on pure stock WITH NO ROOT however you might just need to root your device to do this nandroid backup. If you want a guide on how to root here is a clear video tutorial on how to do this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NY..._comment_id=z12jdpu5nraatpj1a222dv4xeliqgjy02
If you want to keep the backup as close to stock as possible, I recommend rooting then backing up immediately so in the case you ever want to remove root, its as simple as installing the nandroid backup then uninstalling SuperSU and its binaries-(settings inside of SuperSU one click removes these) and your back on pure HTC stock.
Once you have it backed up they have apps on the PlayStore that manage these backups which can be found by typing in "nandroid manager" and with this you can move the backup from the hidden location on the internal storage to where you can get access to.
Basically from the deep hidden parts of the phone to the outside portion where you load your music, pictures, etc. when plugging it into the PC so you will be able to save your backup to the PC.
Hey thanks for the super detailed guide. Can you tell me how can I determine what device I use.. Like I see all these numbers in the forum a5dug and a5dwg etc. Thanks!
Edit: Got it. Boot into HBOOT using vol down and power and find out about the device

what do you mean by "try GPE" ? did you flash a ruu or rom ? what is your current firmware version ?
do you have a verizon model ? as cleanROM seems to be a verizon specific ROM, you'll need to have latest verizon firm.
if you converted to gpe using RUU, you need to follow this thread and adapt with verizon firm. Or find a verizon RUU (complete wipe incl. int. mem.)
Hello, yesterday i got a new htc m9 (national country version mexico) and my first thing on mind was "i need to install a custom rom" tjis carrier version do not have alot of bootware but i think the phone can do it better with a custom, i did unlock the bootloader and installed twrp, picked the venom rom and tried to install this rom. But once the flash was done, i got a bootloop, and after a quick research i found that my base is 3.44.600.1 and custom roms are 3.35.xxxx :/ , i had lucky and i found a backup folder for my exact model. But not my question is, is there any custom for 3.44.600.1?
And even if there none, can i fix this problem with the s-ff feauture? (Im s-on) but i have never undertand this s-off s-on thing
