[Q] CM11 M9 Snapshot - Cannot hear incoming calls - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have done a clean install of this ROM twice and everything works fine until I pair my Bluetooth headset with my device. After doing so and shutting off the Bluetooth, incoming calls do not ring and I cannot hear the person on the other end of the call (he can hear me). The problem persists with a reboot. If I do not set up my Bluetooth device after a clean install, everything works well again.
Can anybody help / provide advice?

Hello,
A friend of mine had the same problem after an factory reset, but he used to have a stock-rom Galaxy Note3.
He has fixed it with the app soundabout. With this app you can set which speaker or mic you are want to be using.

Notification Sound does not play in full

Has anyone experienced where their notification sounds only plays 25%-50% of the entire sound file when getting a text message? Sometimes it plays the sounds completely, and sometimes it does not.
If so, what ROM are you on?
I am using Kyan 1.26 ROM here with stock kernel. I'm not looking for troubleshooting of the ROM, I am only curious if anyone else is experiencing it before I determine if it is a ROM issue or not.
Thanks
Check how many messages you have for each contact. Either raise the message storage limit or delete messages.

Awesome, thanks!
Nope that did not fix it
Does it not play the full sound for all incoming mail/messages or just for certain ones?

It was not playing the full sound for any incoming text message only. I made the change requested above and it did not solve the issue. However after a reboot and leaving the implemented changes in place, I'm happy to report the issue is solved.
I guess when the phone has to delete one message as another one comes in it causes a slight CPU delay and the whole sound does not play. I set mine to allow 1000 messages per person.
Glad that I was able to shed some light on this issue. Had I not had the same problem, I don't know what I would have done.

**Skype possible Bluetooth fix!!**

I got my headset (LG HBS-700) to work with Skype!! Maybe it will work and help others.
Before it would not connect at all with skype just use the speaker phone.
after I installed this modded Skype (uninstall old first).
Then when the call is connected you need to go to menu and force BT headset.
The key was using Perseus kernel and making the audio bypass analog channel like in the screen. (edit the option under the tool sTweaks that comes with Perseus kernel)

Let me know if it works for you and don't forget to hit thanks button if you think I helped you.
It already kinda works for me.
When I am in a call. I turn my headset off and then back on again and it starts working in skype. It never does work unless I do this. I have the ProPlantronics. Not sure of the exact model number.

Did you try the mods I posted?
Supposedly it is Samsung fault for not wanting us to be able to record calls or something in that manner.

So it's actually a Korean phone. I'm currently residing in the Philippines.
I bought it from some guy here and all the network services are fine like calling, texting and data.
Problem though is that contacts are shutting on me and my signal bars are showing nothing all the time even if I can make a call. There are other issues with it too. Like on start up still says that I cannot use the card even if I can and the gzone app like the gzworld is not locating my gps and is still based on Korea. And there's this app Tan Tien and it's like the Vietnamese version of go sms and it won't let me update it. Says something about an error.
Anything I could do on it? Already has custom rom but it's like Vietnamese or sumthing and I can't understand it.
I already read threads about this phone but most of it is confusing and I just wanna start fresh on it. Here's the current build on my phone. I'm a newbie in roms and all that.
Please be gentle with the jargons. Thanks.

I'm also from the Philippines. I bought mine from a Korean guy thru sulit. I also had the same problem that you're experiencing until I installed the jelly bean rom. I suggest you follow the steps in this forum tinyurl.com/kan8h6o. Please also read the whole thread as you may experience some issues with jelly bean. Most of the solutions are there.
Thanks man. Maybe you can hit me up on my Gmail at [email protected] If i get sum problem. Thanks.

DN3 Rom - Call Ended

Dear All,
I have been encountering this problem with quiet some time now,
When I try to make a call, I immediately get "Call ended", it doesn't even dial.
This problem happens randomly, with no specific number and sometimes I have to redial for like 15 times tell the call would be made.
And sometimes I can call right away,
If you guys could help me with it that would be marvelous!
Regards.

ِAll right I found a solution, delete the cash and data for the dial storage on regular Bases, it's not a permanent solution, but I guess it's better than nothing.
If your problem is with a specific rom you should be posting in that specific roms thread.
Its a network issue not your phone...

Thanks guys,
I don't think it's with a specific rom cause I am the only one who is facing this problem on DN3 rom as far as I know,
and I don't think it's a network issure cause I have another phone with the same carrier with no problem.
It s probably a problem with your mobile, I m using the 5.2 version of DN3 and it works perfectly.

That's my thought too, but what could be the problem? I mean what is the thing responsible for this matter?

Hmmm. No issues here. Try another gps app? Like gps status.

Check the location settings. The gps was disabled on mine by default so it was only using cell towers to provide location.
High precision, activated... Having issues there is anyway to calibrate it? Im crying, sold my S5 for this new G3..

Call T-Mobile and see if they can tell you what to do. I know you can go into the special settings by entering a code in the dialer, but I forgot what it was.
I'm bored to thiss... sold my S5 with better GPS of the world to this
