Notification Sound does not play in full - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Has anyone experienced where their notification sounds only plays 25%-50% of the entire sound file when getting a text message? Sometimes it plays the sounds completely, and sometimes it does not.
If so, what ROM are you on?
I am using Kyan 1.26 ROM here with stock kernel. I'm not looking for troubleshooting of the ROM, I am only curious if anyone else is experiencing it before I determine if it is a ROM issue or not.
Thanks

Check how many messages you have for each contact. Either raise the message storage limit or delete messages.

Awesome, thanks!

Nope that did not fix it

Does it not play the full sound for all incoming mail/messages or just for certain ones?

It was not playing the full sound for any incoming text message only. I made the change requested above and it did not solve the issue. However after a reboot and leaving the implemented changes in place, I'm happy to report the issue is solved.
I guess when the phone has to delete one message as another one comes in it causes a slight CPU delay and the whole sound does not play. I set mine to allow 1000 messages per person.

Glad that I was able to shed some light on this issue. Had I not had the same problem, I don't know what I would have done.

Me to bro. I seem to get it after rebooting from CWM or maybe but rebooting
You're running Go SMS, you need to Disable other message notification. Go to Settings in Go SMS, Advanced tab, Receive Settings, and uncheck "Disable other message notification"
Drakhar, I haven't disabled that and I no longer get these text messages. I had them when I first got my phone.
Its most likely a problem with your tower. Put a ticket in for them to check it out.

Same thing was happening to me, soon as I disabled that they quit... Had read somewhere else that was what was causing it.
He could at least give it a shot and see if it works for him...
funny, I just saw this thread a little while ago and I just got one of these texts. I dont use Go sms though. I use handcent. the text body starts with //LL:1563: odd. I never had one until today and I've been running handcent for a couple of weeks now
it's visual voicemail & your sms app
i had the same issue, i talked about and found a fix at these two posts:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299804
and

This is the problem with skype that I am having. The video looks "green". Same thing with both FFC and rear camera. Normal camera app works fine.
I called myself from my Dinc2 to my Transformer prime... The video in the small box on my phone looks fine. But the video from my Dinc2's camera as displayed on my tablet is all green! Same thing if I used my laptop with my phone, too...
Anyone else having this problem? For the record, I observed this problem without AND with the Camera/Camcorder patch...
To specify the ROM I am on:
> AOKP_vivow_build-31
> Kernel 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod-ge9c716f [email protected] ...
> Android 4.0.4
Screenshot Detailing my current ROM/kernel/build/etc. configuration
Kindly help a sad, sad Panda!!
Thanks!
Anyone please answer

Yup had same prob. Searched all over to no avail. Hangouts work just fine on +.

Same problem here too, running Aeroevan's CM9. It seems to be a problem with ICS updates in general across multiple HTC, and even some non-HTC devices. OTA updates aren't spared either.
Apparently Skype is working with Qualcomm to get the issue fixed, and will have an update pushed out using the "when it's done" approach. Until then, I guess we're just going to have to mess about with Google+ Hangouts, OoVoO, and others.

What rom are you on? I remember this problem with the early ics leaks but I thought it was fixed.

Can't get text notifications

I have an AT&T Samsung s3. All of a sudden, I stopped getting notifications for my text messages. I actually get them, but I don't get notified and the counter on the icon does not show anything. Not one two or three no numbers at all. The guy at the AT&T store could not help. Anybody have any suggestions or recommendations please? Thank you.

I as well have ATT, I get notifications but what bugs the hell out of me is that I'll get text all at once at least once a day
Ex:
Wife text me at 5:00 "Hi babe"
5:15 - Babe?
5:30 - Hellooo??
6:00- OK text me when you have time.
At 6:20 (just an example not the exact time) I'll get everything at once.
Here is a pic

}
Notice how they arrived all at the same time. This convo was at 10pm
They all came at once at 12:10 wtf?? Lol

I guess an option is to do a factory reset.
I ended up installing Go SMS. Everything works like it should now and she's happy as can be. I don't know what the problem was but she's happy and I'm good with that.

[Q] CM11 M9 Snapshot - Cannot hear incoming calls

I have done a clean install of this ROM twice and everything works fine until I pair my Bluetooth headset with my device. After doing so and shutting off the Bluetooth, incoming calls do not ring and I cannot hear the person on the other end of the call (he can hear me). The problem persists with a reboot. If I do not set up my Bluetooth device after a clean install, everything works well again.
Can anybody help / provide advice?
Hello,
A friend of mine had the same problem after an factory reset, but he used to have a stock-rom Galaxy Note3.
He has fixed it with the app soundabout. With this app you can set which speaker or mic you are want to be using.
