1200 mA Charger - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hey, I have a 1200 mA charger at home, can I use it with this phone? Because the normal one only has 1000 mA

Are you sure it has no harm for the battery? Does high ampered chargers charge the battery faster?

Im sure. Even the new charger is 1.5 or 2.0 amps the phone Will take only what it needs. It have a security circuit. More amperes Will make your phone charge At the same speed even when you use it while it Charges. Try it.

Other thing 1000mah Will charge your phone in like 1 ~1.30 hours. With the 2000mah it Will charge in the same time But it will let you charge it while using it in the same time.

High Capacity Charger

Just got my hands on the CyberMonday Moto X and I AM PSYCHED!
Now quick question.
I have a Blackberry Playbook Rapid Charger, that outputs about 1.8 amps. The voltages is identical to the A/C adapter from Moto. Can I use it to charge up the Moto X? Or would the higher current damage the internal parts?

No, the phone will only draw as much as it can support. Rapid charging is generally considered to shorten the life of lithium batteries however.
Phone will only charge around 1amp as far as I can tell. One of the things I miss about my s4 is that it charges at 2amps

Spec wise it may say that , but I haven't seen it hit anything over 940mah. Says full charge is 2.5 hours which sounds about right but that's a far cry from the s4 that charges zero to full in 1 hour

Yeah I charge my S4 @ 1.9A and it's done in no time. I know it's bad for the battery but, that's the real benefit of having a replaceable battery!

Thanks, I use that too. But I question its accuracy on the X since it doesn't properly detect my battery's capacity (i have to manually enter it), and often it shows -600mA when running (and not connected to power) even though I can get 24hrs+ out of the charge.
During charge cycles, I've even seen it only show +2mA and +3mA when plugged into AC (and battery is in the 40% remaining).
Right now when I look at it now, its showing +950mA while plugged into the Smart port on my Anker 2nd Gen Astro 3 12000mah battery.
Edit: now its showing +731mA so its all over the place. Not sure if this is the app or the phone.
Does anyone know how well these rapid chargers work with extended batteries like the Morphie or the Zero Lemon?

As long as the charger's output voltage matches the device's input voltage requirement, any charger should work. Then it becomes how much current (amps, or A) does the charger output vs how much current does the device need to charge, which will factor into the time it takes to charge the device.
A few examples:
With a Droid Bionic that ships with a 850mA charger, it will barely charge when using a 550mA (.55A) charger or USB port on my PC. With a 750mA (.75A) charger it takes about 10 to 15 minutes longer than when using the 850. Using a 1000mA (or 1A) charger from my HTC Thunderbolt it charges about 20 minutes quicker than when using the stock 850 charger. Even though using a 2000mA (2A) charger can provide more current, the Bionic charges in the same amount of time as with a 1A charger.
iPad 3. It comes with a 2100mA (2.1A) charger. The 1A charger that comes with my iPhone 5 and 5s doesn't provide enough current for the iPad. It wont charge the iPad unless I power it off, and even then it takes way too long.
The X comes with the 1150mA (1.15A) "duo rapid charger." The X doesn't charge any faster using the 2.1A ipad charger (using a standard micro usb cable of course). And it does seem to charge at about the same speed as when using my 1A charger from my HTC Thunderbolt. While I've used the 850mA charger initially (so I didn't have to replace any of my cords on my dresser), I haven't timed its charging with the 850mA vs 1A.

(sorry about replying to an old post but...)
it says "if you use that kind of charger" the article also says that the X comes with a 850mA charger yet mine is labeled 1150mA output. Either way, an 850mA or 1150mA can't supply 1500mA (1.5A) current.

Please! Anyway I can get a quick 2.0 charger in Europe?

I'm not bad at doing Google searches. Yet I have not been able to track one single trace of a quick 2.0 charger (of absolutely any brand) available in Europe. What the heck is wrong? Why are they all in the States? Can anyone help with a source to order/buy one in Europe? Thanks! A desperate European.

Hello,
There are a plenty of quick charge 2.0 capable chargers, such as the Motorola Turbo Charger. I do not own this charger myself but it's a Quickcharge 2.0 complient charger with schuko prongs, so it'll work in most European countries and it is shipped from the UK:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorola-2-Pin-Plug-Turbo-Charger/dp/B00PGQXJ0G
I got this one here and it works quite nice.
1h of charging and my phone is almost full. from around 5%.

The last time i read quickcharge charges up 0-> 60% in 30 min , so 5-> 95 in 1 h is quite plausible dunno where you get your numbers from.

Jeah i could have bought something cheap but i dont want to mess with cheap power supplies, i dont mind paying a bit.
Current input is definetly more than standard wall charger and it fits my purpose.
There may be something better but this one worked as expected. Its officially certified and supported.
And you can buy it in europe which brings me back to the topic.
And its on sale and half the price of the charger posted before.
Only seen results briefly but you are correct on charge times. Mind you my BlackBerry playbook travel charger with higher voltage is around 1hr Mark via magnetic dk48 dock.
I'll maybe post exact times as phone is still pretty new with a month charge cycles via dock and plug on its own

Jeah magnetic charging also works with Quickcharge but the output is a bit less than with conventional micro usb cable.
I bought the aukey from amazon.fr. £12 delivered to the uk. Very impressive. Well built and quick

When I charge it with the micro usb port it can charge the 60% of the battery ? in 1h according to the battery app. I noticed that it can do 40% in 30min. So it works. I haven't tried the magnetic port but I heard that is the same…

Fast Chargers

Will using a fast charger hurt the phone?
I have been using my note edge charger but will it cause issues?
Always only use the charger that comes with the phone, other chargers may cause issues (damage battery, damage the phones charging port, etc.). its not gonna be really fatal if the charger is fine, but its reccomended to only use the charger what came with the device.
---------- Post added at 12:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:57 AM ----------
And cus the z5p doest support fast charging i wouldt use a fast charger.. (i am not sure does it support) i think it did or then not lol but dont use dat!
Cool thanks, shame the UK version does not come with a plug!
I'm using anker powerport+ ant it's working fine.
It is a qc qualcomm 3.0
by the way... z5p has a qualcomm sd810 so... z5p support qualcomm qc 2.0 and 1.0

Sony xperia z5 premium is totally Qualcomm fast charge 2 capable.
I use my note 4 fast adaptive charger without any issues and it is fast charing as hell. This is because the phone support Qualcomm quick charge (which is a open standard from Qualcomm and Samsung use the same).
Even if you want you can't damage your battery because a controller inside the phone or the battery is controlling the charge, checking multiple parameters to avoid battery explosion.
It is simple - you can use even 5A charger, but the controller inside the phone will allow only safe charge rates.
So at the end, Yes you can use your note edge charger without any issues!

Anyone know what the fastest possible charging time from about 10% to fully charged would be? And with what charger?
-xirt0n
Mine came with the UCH10 charger and am using my short Sony usb cable that came with my headset (EC300). I went from 4% to 100% in 1 hour and 35 mins. I also tested with the Tronsmart quick charge 2.0. It went from 6% to 100% in 57 mins. Both chargers support the 5v/9v/12v output. Does anyone have a qc2.0 20v charger? I wonder if it will be faster?

quick charger

Is there some sort of special quick charger needed? None of my qc2 or qc3 chargers charge this thing at any sort of reasonable speed
Only the Huawei Quick chargers work. I have a Blitzwolf charger that isn't specifically quick charging, but it charges it fast enough. Also my Chromebook Pixel charger charges the P9 very fast too. USB C is amazing - I love having one charger for both the phone and laptop!!

The Huawei 9V2A charger is much faster. See the discussions and timings etc here ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/help/charger-huawei-p9-t3373037
I purchased this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QEX83LA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It charged from 52% to 81% in 30 minutes (61.1%/hr), and another instance it charged from 27% to 90% in 70 minutes. (52.4%/hr). This is without touching the phone (screen off). Also I am not using the cable that the phone came with, not sure if this matters.
If I want order from ebay or aliexpress. Which should i get thats legit? EU plug.

After testing, an interesting is that, when you use adapter quick charge (9v-2a), there are two thunder symbol appear on battery i/o one when you use original charge.
I am not sure the timing charge will com shoter. I will do some test and let you now.
But one thig you need to know, your p9 gonna be lag when use the quick charge. I am not sure this fault come from my quick charge adapter or because by itself function

Sure, flash ElementalX 0.8 Kernel, that isn't supporting Dash Charge
Something without flashing other kernel?
Like configuring kernel?
What about using a different charger/cable ?
My other good charger burnt last night Idon't want to charge phone with cheap charger. Just to charge with lower amp
Buy a decent USB C cable and adaptor. Simple.

Yeah just use a low amp charger maybe like a 1 amp, but to answer ur question, no, there is no custom kernel yet that will allow to modify fast charge yet

I think I have a charger that only charges at 250 to 300 mAh, if u want it, just pay shipping with will be a few bucks, I think its one u plug it, not a charge block and cable
