Old good days are long time gone. I hard bricked my sgy like 7 times so i decided to buy a new phone. If u guys are ever planning to buy a new phone it should be S III Mini. This phone is awesome, but its not as moddable as sgy.
Rip my dear sgy ??
Sent from da outerspace using my S3 Mini ?
Why the heck you tell us if u only want to change ur phone? -,-
JB are too boring to mod, you only get aftermarket roms. No created rom like sgy

Hello boys and girls,
I don't know if you know me from around here , but I had this beautiful phone not so long ago. I sold it in order to buy his younger brother SGS II
I was wandering are you interested to see one of the most popular theme on SGS II on your precious SGS I?
Please check the link bellow

I would like to, but could you also port the stock SGSII theme to JVQ. I was having a lot of trouble porting it so I thought maybe a pro could do it.
This would be incredible! Would love if you could port this over to the SGS I!
And +1 for the SGS II theme, but Id rather have this of the two.
I know back there, when i had sgs, that there wasn't any good port of sgsII touchwiz. I don't know now.
Lets wait to see if at least more ppl want this theme on SGS and ill start doing it
Cheers,
Vert

why cyanogen mod ? because it is cyanogen mod
look great on screenshot. but after looking their forum, it's only as good as port quality and hardware quality. even for official supported device, people still got hw related problem like camera and bluetooth. it's maybe great but only for flagship device like galaxy s2. and i doubt we'll see fully working sgy port in next few days.

well, actually, what's your reason opening this thread?
i thought this website was best for android developing :/ but no .>! no working cm7 yet ? i mean cmon billions buyed this cheapest sgy ! they al might be so dissapointed -_- ! i would like to give a shot to the androidforums blog something ! let's see if it's faster then this xda
and what is your contributions? if you want cm7,cm9, or whatever os you wan't to ported to sgy as fast as possible, paid professional developers to do for you. but i am sure it will cost you the same amount money with (at least) 2-3 galaxy s3. that's if you can find a developer willing to do for you.
Crazy Big Mouth Noobs! Sumtimes Doesn't even understand how to change permissions of a file.. nd after reading some blogs nd trying out some custom roms expects dat CM will drop from the sky!! ..Well lemme tell u.. The Major developers r same over every forum.. Nd this is the largest of em! So If u can't find sumthing in xda... U probably won't find it anywhere! If u r so desperate.. Donate to one of the developers who r trying to build CM7 bt doesn't hv our device.. still they r trying.. Try to appreciate the effort for a change!!
Why won't you just buy a phone that has cyanogen we are not dissapointed at are phones we are dissapointed at people like you!!!
Cm7 takes time to build you are already lucky because they trying hard to make this rom while you are just a big mouthed noob!!!
You are very lucky you can just sit down and flash roms did you ever wonder about the developers hard work!?!
SHAME ON YOU!

dont mind threads like this some people have no idea on how hard it is to port CM or MIUI to a android phone, some even take years to get a working port however we have highly skilled devs who are dedicated to port the rom for us, complaining about it wont get us there
so its either you'll sell ur SGY for a SG-Mini or ace or fit, SG-mini is cheaper than SGY now and some will trade your SGY for a mini, and it has a CM7 and ICS port, before you bought the phone you should have done a extensive reseach on what will it benefit you and what are the phone's limitations
so sell or trade it on ebay or somethin, and be considerate that its not the dev's job to port anything, have a life and understand it, give thanks to small things we have in this little community of ours in which i love
The fact is dat these guys only deserve the stock! But they r getting sooo much more than that.. that they donno nd dont want to think about the hard part!! Just whinning all the time!
Grrr !
WHAT A NOOB !!You don't know how our developers work hard to port CM7 for us ,Porting a ROM from other device is difficult as some developers here doesn't have SGY but they still trying to port CM7 for us , If you're looking for a cheap phone that has CM7 then trade your Galaxy for a Galaxy Mini !! SHAME ON YOU NOOB !!
Pressed "Ban member" button for that !

Don't like where it started and don't like where it is going.
It has been three and a half years since i bought my GIO on 28th September 2011.
Boy o boy was i crazy about the whole new android and smartphone era. Updates came, a "FEW" official and "MANY" Unofficial from the lovers of this great phone. Just as i type here, i feel like this is going to be my last post here. Almost everyone here has moved on to other phones and this group suddenly feels lonely.
I will never forget those memories where i bricked my phone and learned to fix it, rooting, usingscripts, flashing new ROMs (The best part). All this has to end sometime. I don't plan to thorugh away my GIO. NO WAY. This baby is going to be with me forever.
Lastly, thank you guys who were there to support each other whenever anyone required any kind of help whatsoever. And off course, a big thanks to the developers who gave all of us new hopes to keep this little great phone of ours, alive.
Thank you.:victory:

Gio is amazing phone! My brother bought Gio back in 2011 and I bought Galaxy Y (s5360). Both of us have moved to new phones some time ago but I still turn on Gio and Y (my brother gave Gio to me) and play little bit with them. Gio totally rocks with Final CM11 and MA kernel. I did also learn rooting, flashing, bricking and unbricking with Y and Gio. They have give me alot! Great devices, great community. Memories totally last for ever .
Ps. Waiting for CM12
Cheers mate. Thank u for this.

I miss my gio, it was superior at the time. The size, the ergonomics, the ability you had on customizations... It was something else.
I bought my GIO in the September of 2011. I used it for 3 years and 10 months. Never got tired of it.
But now with the demand of a good camera i bought Sony Xperia Z3 Dual.
I transferred my data and all and have kept my GIO in a safe place. No i am not! If you are thinking i'm gonna sale this baby, you're wrong. I am not letting this go. I'm gonna keep it with me for as long as i can. Stuff like this isn't just any other gadget/thing/item, it becomes more than that.
Possibly this is my last thread on this GIO forum and all i want to say is that i really enjoyed coming here and getting into discussions about ROMs and MODs and all. It been a lovely ride but now it has to end.:crying:
Thank you all. Goodbye.
Regards,
Daniyal.
