Hey guys
I attempted to use ADB on my Nexus today to now avail. I have updated my drivers and still cannot find a device when opening an ADB Shell on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop.
The weird issue is I can do ADB functions through Wug's Nexus Root Tool Kit. It even shows my device and passes the driver test with flying colors.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, after some light modding , I have lost the usb connection.
In setting, under "xperia" I can't see more "connectivity" option, so when I plug the usb cable in the pc nothing happens, I only see the debug mode active, but no the sd card connected.
I think some files are missing, but I don't know how to find them.
Please, do you know what can I do to restore usb connection ?
What kind of modding did you do?
And please post in Q&A section next time, I need not remind you that you're posting in the wrong section.

Q&A for Soupkit - When you just can't get ADB to connect (and some other things).
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for Soupkit - When you just can't get ADB to connect (and some other things).. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

No such file or directory
Like the title, I am having issues. When in soupkitutility, it says that for adb, fastboot, etc, no such file or directory. Could anyone help?

So I have to use an older Ubuntu/32 bit version?
Endless commands
I rebooted Ubuntu and plugged it the KF. It then said ADB online. Once I went through soupkit and typed in a command, it started to loop endless coding and commands and would not stop. Can anyone help me fix this and get this working the correct way?

Hi All
I have been asked to look at a friends Kindle Fire 7. The first problem is I have no idea whether it is the 1st or 2nd gen as it won't switch on.
I have done plenty of reading and tried many of the methods shown on this site but I've had no luck.
The kindle switches on and goes to a screen with a red triangle with an explanation mark. The device says 'Your Kindle cannot boot. You can reset your device....... etc'
You have two options, reboot or reset but neither work, it just ends up back at the same screen.
My Windows 10 PC does not show any sign of seeing the Kindle when plugged in, nothing showing anywhere in device manager.
Will I need a factory cable or is there a tool/method that will work without one?
I appreciate there are loads of threads on rooting/repairing but i'm a bit lost with all the different advice.
I have tried KFFirstAide64 but every option comes back saying 'The system cannot find the path specified'.
Any help will be gratefully received!
I found the model number on the back, it is D01400. I did a search and that appears to be the model number of the 1st gen 7"
Any ideas why my PC has no sign of it?

Hello I am a new member to the forums, not a first time user though! I have a dilemma on my hands, a while ago I had rooted my LG Gpad 7.0(att) and all was good. Since then I have switched carriers and still have the Tablet, recently rooted my new device the S7 edge. I decided While I am at it, lets go ahead and attempt to flash a custom ROM, CM-13.0-20160717-Nightly-v410. I flashed TWRP successfully....... but when I did a normal boot it booted to TWRP... not sure what I did wrong here. I was able to flash a stock rooted ROM of 4.4.2 and now on boot all looks normal. installed all my root apps again, I used Flashfire to flash the CM-13.0 zip. all looked like it was going good, but now its stuck in a bootloop of the LG logo. it seems all I can do is the key combo for a factory reset, when attempting Download mode the logo flashes 1-2secs till I let go of the keys.
In windows it doesnt show when attempting Download Mode, just plugging the usb in windows throws an error.
-USB device not recognized "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
*in device manager - "Unknown USB Device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed), Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Fix attempts Made = failed
- manually using LG driver in windows. displays driver name now but still Yellow !.
- creating new Binary key in "regedit" to get rid of above *message.
- tried multiple PC's, as well as clean installs of driver.
- any suggestion in http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/help/soft-bricked-lg-g-pad-7-0-v410-boots-to-t3094137
-brought tablet to full charge and repeated.
Again I cant get into download mode, I am more less asking if this can be reversed or if I have a new paper weight.
Apologies for the long read, lol.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to ideas if any!

If you really want to delete the thread, use the report button on the first post and ask a moderator to delete the thread.
A better forum etiquette, since you took the time to ask how to solve it and evidently figured it out, it's to post what you did to fix it (or a link to a relevant thread) so that when someone else has the same problem, they can find this thread and the solution in a search.

@Mr.Gallifrey Please let us know the solution that how you fix your device. I am too having the same issue but different device manufacturer.
@roirraW "edor" ehT +1
Well finally I have found the solution for it. On almost all OSs ie. Windows10, 8.1, 7 and Ubuntu 16.04, I'd got the same error message "Unknown USB Device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed), Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".
But the real culprit was not any operating system or missing driver, it was USB port in my device. I just opened the device and cleaned the USB Port area with small pin and plugged the usb cable tightly while connecting to PC and its done. Later I changed the usb port on my phone and now problem is gone forever.
So the conclusion is whenever YOU GUYS GET THIS ERROR "Unknown USB Device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed), Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" don't curse your PC Operating System, just check with either of usb port in your phone (mostly) or PC or it could be usb connection cable.
I hope this could help you guys. Best of luck...
