Which ROM and which cellphone are you using? You could try re-checking the MD5 and/or fastboot flash boot boot.img again in order to rectify the corrupt booting files if any.

[Q] TWRP doesn't replace CWM

I'm having some trouble with installing a new recovery. I want to have TWRP because I want to install a ROM that requires it. At the moment I have some old CWM but when I flash TWRP and reboot into recovery I still get into CWM.
So how do I replace CWM or at least boot into TWRP?

Try 4ext recovery, in my opinion i think its better. Also u cant flash recovery "flash zip from sdcard" u have to either use fastboot command
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Or via PB99IMG method or using the 4ext app but u can only use the app once ur phone is booted.

Flash Custom Recovery but Recovery is still Stock

So, I have the X9046 variant, and I've tried to use the TWRP recovery here.
I went into fastboot, did fastboot flash recovery <recoverynamehere>.img, with no errors. But, when I reboot into recovery it goes into the stock recovery.
I even did fastboot boot <recoverynamehere>.img, and it would just be stuck in fastboot, until I forced a reboot.
Any ideas?

If you're running ColorOS, there might be a script that's part of ColorOS that restores the stock recovery. Not sure. (It's a common thing to see in most OEM firmware releases)

Did fastboot flash succeeded or failed with an error?
To boot a recovery image try "fastboot boot recovery.img". This only boots the recovery.img , not flashing anything. Perhaps it temporarily helps.

No.
After getting back to cm11 when i open recovery some times later it does not open.
Well i had got "cannot enter twrp" issue when using f2fs format, solved by revert twrp back to 2.8.6.0. I dont know, but try to delete twrp folder in internal and ext storage, then flash twrp 2860. Hope it helps.

Flash twrp via fastboot with this commands (rename as recovery.img first);
- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- fastboot erase cache
- fastboot reboot
After phone boot up,turn off the phone and enter recovery.

My problem is solve it comes from my memory card

The first boot after flashing TWRP need to be into recovery so TWRP could use his scripts to block the automatic restore of the stock recovery.
Also try the last TWRP version 3.2.1

I only use
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Then
Code:
fastboot reboot
Entering recovery with the volume up key (at the same time that you click enter into adb)
Then into recovery reboot.
After booting into recovery install supersu (flash zip file) ,then boot into system.. try it..
