ok, after hours of troubleshooting I found out it only happens if I have the Weather Bug Live notifications enabled. Now I just need to figure out who to report it to. This doesn't happen on my moto x

This is a really nasty bug that seems to affect most (if not all) of the recent Samsung tablets.

Yes. Just found out the same problem a few minutes ago.

I don't believe it happens with Netflix. Just the google play apps (Music, Movies & TV).

BBC app often being auto-killed

I have a habit of listening to BBC world live via the BBC app
However , the playing often stops itself
I have made sure that I have got enough free ram, around 100mb.
p.s. I use a Sony Bluetooth headset to listen
Do anyone have the same issue ? and how to solve it?

Is the playback stopped because of the fact the app is killed or because the bluetooth connection was dropped?
I am using Galaxy Nexus with the 4.0.4 official rom

Smart Dock and Netflix.

Did anyone figure out how to play Netflix on tv in full screen. On my tv looks shrunk to 4x3 instead 16x9. Is there any solution?

There is an app that will force landscape or portrait mode, I think that may be what you're looking for. It'll force the device to rotate, even though the dock holds it upright, thus using the full width of the HDTV.
Thanks for reply. My problem is that Netflix plays fine on note, but when connected to smart dock only Netflix main menu comes up in full screen. When playing video picture is shrunk horizontally. Other players and youtube play perfectly in full screen. It must be error in app itself.

I don't know if this will help but here is the link to the app, I believe, muqali is talking about. It's a paid app but has a free trail. Check it out. It might help..great app for TW ROMS btw.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate
Thanks everyone. I read some user opinions about Netflix app in Play Store and looks like I'm not the only one with that problem. It appears that problem is within Netflix app. Forcing rotation doesn't change anything. I need to wait for netflix to fix that.

Site Admin, please read: Landing page "Root" video.

So the video on http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1891#root plays automatically in the background whenever you get to the Samsung Galaxy Note II landing page. Is it possible to stop this from loading until I press play? Or I figured it was code on the page telling it to load that video and play automatically.
Seeing as how alot of us are using tethering already anyway on our phones, it takes up quite a bit of bandwidth that we ALL KNOW Sprint doesn't have to spare.
I have adblock already.

I am not experiencing what the OP is describing. The video does not auto play for me.
Go into your phone's browser settings, find Plugins and set them to Click to Play or Disabled etc.

This is on a full desktop browser guys. Not mobile.
I've never had this happen, not on any of the four separate computers I use (at a minimum) every day.

Chrome, almost exclusively, FF on a random occasion. Two of the computers have Chrome (and all ad-on/settings/b-marks) synced. The other, shared workstation...
Try Chrome in incognito mode, make sure it's not a sh1tty extention.

I have this happen all the time. I use Chrome. I haven't figured out how to stop it, but I know it's Youtube video, and somewhere in my settings, Chrome automatically starts any Youtube video. I noticed the YouTube thing on other sites. I just haven't been able to find the Youtube video on the landing page, but I do know the video playing is from YouTube because I have watched it on YouTube.
So it's A Chrome thing then... Simple enough.

What is this icon in middle of my screen?

This icon popped up in my youtube app out of nowhere in the last few days. It also dims the vid. I have no idea what it is or where it came from and it’s driving me nut. Please help.
That is the icon to enable casting via Chromecast.
Silly question but I don't have chromcast so how do I get rid of this icon?
You possibly have Google TV then? It would only show up if you have chromecast or Google TV

That's the weird thing, I don't have a smart TV, dumb TV or any TV for that matter in the house right now and this thing just popped up out of the blue.
So the question remains, how do I get rid of it?

I have the same same problem and don't know how to get ridbof it.
Are you on an unsecured network? On the same network with a ps3 or blu ray player with Youtube streaming? I get that icon when I have Youtube opened on my Note 2 and open the Youtube app on my ps3.
There must be a way to dismiss that icon, right? I mean even if you do have Chromcast, it doesn't mean you necessarily want to cast everything.
Maybe the Chromecast section of the forums can help.
I have a Samsung Smart TV that I have linked to my Nexus 7 youtube for Optional transmission to the TV.
But recently, YouTube has started showing this icon permanently when viewing youtube videos on my Nexus, slap bang in the middle the screen.
Im surprised that arent a huge number of people reporting this problem at this forum. Any solution would be appreciated.

On my Note II this is what I did to turn it off.
Settings-->More Settings--->Allshare Cast and make sure it's off.
Funny thing, that none of you even considered that it's a freaking bug in youtube!
Uninstall update in play store and it's fixed.

Same problem here, I'm running CM nigthlies, but I found this post --> productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/91-3-Nh3BHM[/url][1-25-true] --> which relates the problem to connected bluetooth headsets.
Disconecting my bluetooth headset worked for me, but it didn't for others.
I hope this helps and that the bug gets solved, I just don't want to have to unplug my headset to watch a video....
Yes, I do use a bluetooth headset when I see the problem.

Thanks a bunch!!! Been fighting this stupid symbol for weeks and never once thought it was a bug or issue with youtube. Just assumed my Note II had a problem or my bluetooth or wifi or anything else besides what it really was....youtube! Uninstalled the updates and symbol was magically *poof* gone! I can no longer watch the video while continuing to do something else but a small price to pay until youtube fixes that issue.
Youtube play updates claims this has been fixed now. I have not tested it yet.

Netflix not working or..?

Is Netflix not working on the fire TV? I start to play a movie and it sits and 99 percent and I can hear the movie starting but the loading screen stays on. Just started tonight

Happened to me before. Stop the movie and restart it a couple of times. Eventually it will work.

I had issues with Netflix earlier this week too. It would either do that or the movie would load, play for about 30 seconds, then crash. Go into managing applications and clear the data. That worked for me.
Nothing is working. I tried clearing data, uninstalled Netflix and reinstalled.. Restarted like 100 times.. Nothing!

Way too many Netflix issues. This streaming service worked better on my laptop in like 2006 when you had few choices and they sold those boxes that only played Netflix. I'm quick to blame fire os but noticed lots of people complaining about the android tv version on playstore. Never had a problem with Netflix on any other device though.
