Should I root my HTC one m8 and if I crack my rooted HTC one m8 screen will HTC Advantage still cover it?
1: all up to you....not us, find out what root does and why you need it and use it for. Then decide for yourself.
2: always bring a phone back to its original state before you send it in for warranty. They should cover it but as always all cases are different.

Hi Desire Users..
I've bought a new TMobile Germany Desire.
I rooted it from the beginning..
After a few weeks i had problems with my SDCard Slot
(Card was not found until i restarted my phone)
So i flashed the wellknown TMobile UK Rom and changed my desire at the Shop to another one.
Yesterday i got my new phone.
But on the flyer i got too was a little message. The can send me a bill in following 30 days if my phone is not under waranty.
Now i want to ask you:
Had anybody the same case?
Where there any problems?
Thanks...
Nobody waranty cases? Now i have my 4. Desire!
But i have a htc desire without branding now.

Everyone I've heard speaking of it has gotten a repair or exchange under warranty, almost regardless of rebranding/root I dont think HTC care, as your rom is so close to the stock. Lets just hope so.
Thats one advantage of Android, you can customize it so much even on stock that they can't find you for rooting it. Usually when I send it back to warranty I either screw it up a lot or make it look like stock.
If they send you a letter after a few weeks ask them to prove that you rooted the phone. Then kindly remind them the phone has not been in your hands for a while.
Hey
I'm having to send my desire back due to a broken usb port. Do people reckon that I should bother re-warrenty'ing (unrooting) How pedantic are HTC about having a rooted phone while they're repairing? Will they try to charge me because the warranty(due to rooting) is broken? Or can I just send it as as it is (with a custom rom).
Thanks
pnw0
You need to return the phone to the original state. You may or may not get away with it but HTC didn't design the phone to allow custom ROM's and stuff and if they see one, they have a get-out clause when it comes to fixing it.
With rooting your phone you last your warranty. If you don't bring it back to stock, HTC won't repair it or you have to pay for it.

Hi.
I Want to buy Htc One X and as always I read a lot about the phone I want to buy.
I found strange screen problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2mcIM4i3Xk I had the same in my HTC Sensation.
Have anybody similar problem or is this a rare case ?
Thanks for your answer.
I'm pretty sure that's a rare case... No issue like this at all over here... And even if you face such an issue, htc will fix it for sure as it will be in warranty.
So go ahead and buy the hox! However if i were you, i would wait for the m7 though.
Hi guys,
so i just got an htc one m8 eye by a local retailer in my country, on my previous htc i had android 5.0.1 on it and wwas running smoothly. My question is that if i s-off and install a htc one m8 firmware and and full system and the device, will the camera cause any problem? i know the normal, original m8 has got a 4up shooter whereas the m8 eye has a 13mp.
will i encounter any problem if i do convert the phone into an european one?
They have some hardware differences so I don't think it will work.
You could very well brick. Not a great idea unless you find from a reliable source that it's possible.
I sold my HTC One-X+ and got an excellent condition HTC One M7 off Ebay.....BUT, turned on camera....pink screen appeared, hours later found out that it's a VERY common fault with the HTC One M7 etc.
So, Ebay are going to refund me and I'm thinking of getting the M8 Instead.
But before I do, can anyone confirm there are no camera issues or nightmares I need to be aware of etc.
Thanks.
Matt.
