My boot loader is locked but I'm still rooted (stock rom). It won't let me install system update 4.4.3 or do a factory reset. Any solutions to this problem?
Ruu back to 4.4.2 then install 4.4.3

Hello,
I am currently running rooted stock rom with HTC Dev unlocked bootloader with clockwork recovery. When I tried to download and install OTA it of course fails. I installed stock recovery, same thing installation always stucks at 1/3. I tried relocking bootloader, i tried un root. And I even tried to install Maximus rom (after unlocking bootloader and installing clockwork again) and I cant. Is there something that I messed up?
Is it possible I am using wrong stock recovery image?
Go with the ruu. And why would you think it's not standard problem?

I installed RUU (the one that doesn't contain latest update) and same thing happened, isntallation just freezes.
I was under impression that this problem usually happens when there is no stock recovery or when USB cable remains plugged in, which is not my case.

well for me it stopped also till I flashed the correct ruu. Without charge or bad recovery or unlocked.
Now I am bit confused. The ruu works and the ota after fails or the ruu fails the same way as the ota?

not sure whic RUU I installed but it worked on device, OTA fails with stock recovery, no matter if i have unlocked or relocked bootloader

if you have flashed any system mods or deleted any system apps the ota will fail

i just rooted after installing stock ruu, then i reverted to stock recovery and locked bootloader
First use htc One x toolkit wich is found here somwwhere. Downliad the latest 2.17 RUU.exe. with toolkit lock your bootloader.(of you are using a custom rom it reboots back into bootloader) use the fastboot option and then run the latest 2.17 RUU. Lower versions don't work
Hope you will succeed

Helloou, i made nandroid twrp backup my stock rom and flashed Ice cold jelly to my phone, i didnt liked so i decided to restore nandroid and stock recovery and relock my bootloader. I restored and booted up my phone and everything worked. Then i flashed stock recovery and relocked phone and it boots only in bootloader and flashes something developer purposes only whatsoever and then goes to bootloader and then it says relocked security warning and only boots in bootloader when trying to reboot. When i unlock my bootloader - stock rom works perfectly but as soon as i relock it says security warning. Dafuq my phone is doing?

Why do you want to relock the bootloader?? You can get OTA updates with unlocked bootloader...
About the issue, did you flash the correct stock recovery??
I didnt know that i dont have to lock bootloader to get ota updates now i know but still why when relocking this error comes? I flashed stock recovery 3.14 hboot 1.39 and my main version is 3.20.401.1 cid htc y13. And when might the 3.20.401.3 update come to cid y13? In cid 032 its already got and main version is same?

The .3 update is just a minor software update... even if you don't get it, it's ok...
No idea about the lock thing though... If you are on full stock with stock recovery, then try factory resetting your phone from bootloader...
Maybe i try it in weekend but weird thing still

I was running 4.4.4 kitkat on my htc one m8 with a cid no. of HTC__038 and the software no. - 3.35.720.1, s-on and booloader unlocked. I flashed TWRP recovery and rooted it then I unrooted it and installed stock recovery back again but it is still showing a modified tag in bootloader screen and I am unable to install lollipop on my phone as it gets stuck while installing in the installing screen. I used Hasoon2000's toolkit for this. Now, what should I do? Please help!

I know my opinion is not the most popular, but as long as 4.4.4 KitKat runs fine, I don't see a point of installing Lollipop at this time. When Sense 7 and Lollipop 5.1 will arrive, then hopefully it will be worth it.

So yesterday i got a new phone (HTC One M8s) and the first thing i do is try to root it, so i unlocked the bootloader and then tried to flash a recovery, but when i went into the recovery the phone just turned off and i have tried flashing different versions of cwm and twrp, even stock recovery doesn't work so i don't know what i should do
