Same like parallel for Mac. It makes you virtual machine inside of Mac OS X, where you install Windows OS. Maybe better try with Windows on bootcamp, it is separate OS for it self and on turning on your Mac you can chose what OS you will run. I have like that on my MacBook.

Oh ok. After reading about rooting our phone, Im confused about the whole "kies" thing. There is a stock "kies" app that came installed with my phone. So does that mean I have to go through that whole driver issue? Can someone explain this process a little further if so?
Your probably thinking of Samsung Kies for the computer. Windows version does not matter.
You do not need Kies if your going to root just download and install the ones they tell you in the post your reading.

[Q] LG Optimus G USB Drivers for Windows 8

Has anyone had luck finding drivers that will work with Windows 8? I took a chance on the Windows drivers from the LG site but get the new fangled Windows 8 smiley face BSOD. I'm not trying to root or anything (yet). Does anyone know if the Universal Naked Drivers will work with the Optimus G?
I have windows 8, and I installed the drivers on the root tutorial I created and it worked fine. Maybe you need to run as administrator the install.

I've used the original USB cord and it worked just fine.
In case it wasn't clear, I don't believe anyone has found/disclosed a method to root the 10p version. So, you basically need to revert to one of the previous releases (all of which are rootable) using the LG tools.
Any working microUSB cable should work.

If you're running Windows 10, try setting to Windows Compatibility Mode for the Flashtool app to Windows 8. I had the same problem you reported the first time I tried to flash a kdz file after upgrading to Windows 10. Changing the compatibility mode worked for me; kdz flashed fine afterwards.
Windows 10

Wait, aren't you that guy who oppened like 6 different threads pretending to be a developer and to have ported MM to the g3 and being asked by LG to help them with MM update on g3 and so on? And posting on said threads the work of others? Now you are asking for help because you bricked your phone? Lol
