This app tells you what's 100% safe to remove, the things that's not safe to remove, and the apps without a mark, you should be able to remove some of them.

[Q] S View ROMS

Hi guys,
I recently bought an SIV mini and I am thinking about getting the S View Cover. Is the S View supported by many ROMS?
I desperately want to change the ROM because the original one comes with so many apps which I won't use and I can't uninstall.
I am assuming I will have to install a ROM with touchwiz, right? or are there any others like Miui or plain Android ROMS supporting this?
Thanks for your help!

Only stock roms support S-View or roms made from stock
CM/Aokp/SlimKat/Carbon does not support S-View

Thanks SilviuMik! I suppose all the official stock roms come with all these unnecessary apps which can't be uninstalled, right? tripadvisor, flipboard...
Then I should focus on looking for a custom rom obtained from the stock rom where all these apps were removed, correct?
I will take a look to the S Views apps in the market as well...

U are right They can`t be unistalled but they can be disabled without root From app settings
However there're few 3rd party app that can emulate some feature of S-View, eg: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatroid.sview&hl=en
I flashed stock, rooted it and deleted the apps I didnt want with root explorer. Now I'm happy with my phone and s-view.

[Q] Kitkat 4.4.2 on Xperia M?

Hello everyone,
I just bought this sony xperia m and i want to put the latest version of kitkat in it, but I really don't know where to start.
I know I may sound like a total n00b, but this is my very first experience w/ a smartphone.
Thanks!
well theres no official kitkat rom yet for the m, there are custom roms so you will have to root and unlock your bootloader to flash them all instructions are in the respective threads, also this only applies if your bootloader is unlockable and not hard locked

Wow! I would not be in any rush to install a modified ROM on an XPERIA M.
There are upgrades in the works for the XPERIA M which MAY take the phone up to an official Sony distributed/supported Android 4.3
Sony's warranties don't cover a phone while the bootloader is unlocked
Just enjoy your new phone as it is for a while.
The current JB 4.1.2 firmware is very stable, the graphics processor is VERY strong for this price range phone.
Battery life with the standard Sony distributed Android 4.1.2 is very good.
If this is your first Smart Phone and you want to broaden your knowledge base, start off with applying root access to your phone.
You don't have to unlock the bootloader to do this.

[Q] Making a custom stock ROM

I'd like to make a custom ROM based on the latest Sony FTF from here.
Can anyone link me a tutorial on this? I googled and searched XDA but I'm kinda afraid I'd mess it up coz none of them pertain to the current Xperia devices. I just want to start small: removing all the sony bloatware/apps (except the camera app) and packaging it to a zip file for flashing.
Thank you XDA community.

[Q] Update to 4.3 or stay with 4.1.2 (15.1.C.2.8)

Hi there,
I'm on 4.1.2 (15.1.C.2.8) and my carrier doesn't have another update.
Should i flash the last 4.3 version or stay with this one?
I've heard people talking they have problems with this last versiin, battery drain, heating...
Thks
In terms of stability, I prefer 15.1.C.2.8 and 15.4.A.1.9 for compatibility with most ROMs and mods. Just pick either of the two characteristics.

Since i have locked bootloader ("Bootloader unlock allowed: NO"), i'll stay in 15.1.C.2.8.
Thks
Hello,
Someone could upload the GTalk.apk from the 15.1.A.1.9 Xperia M 4.1.2. C1905 ?
I updated my system, now 15.1.C.2.8 (stock) and Hangouts 1.1.1.753199 version has replaced the GTalk.
I tried to install many Talk packages with higher version, but without much success.
All closed when I started a voice call. (If started...)
Is it possible to use the old one or not because of dependency? (GoogleService, GooglePlayService or libraries in the system)
Thanks...
Stay with 4.1.2, it is better.
Thanks, I don't want to upgrade...
I need only the GTalk (and perhaps the GoogleServicesFramework.apk) from 15.4.A.1.9. I don't know whether it will work, but I could not find one (including original GApps) that works for me on this system.

[Q] [q] roms for the gionee-pioneer-p4 a.k.a qmobile i6 and walton primo gh2

Hey guys, good morning or night or whatever it is where ever you are!!
I got a gionee pionee p4 aka qmobile i6 in my country or walton primo GH2 in some other countries that i dont know, but now getting to the point, i got it in June 2014 (somewhat in early june) and i need some custom roms for it, its a pity that paranoid android doesnt support it (well paranoid android not supporting these devices is not a big deal ) even doesnt cynogenmod
i want a rom for it ive been searching alot and i only found one link from three different sources and they were from a recent thread over the xda forums and some googling, also a facebook page over this mobile device and this website, if you want those links here they are :-
the xda thread :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775521
the facebook page :- https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gion...-Primo-GH2-Custom-Development/671901762865238
the real website :- http://www.needrom.com/category/gionee/p4/
the point is this website has only six roms over it and they are useless no good features no good look except the s5 one (dont need that because i can just get touchwiz launcher with touchwiz lockscreen and that s5 wallpaper because touchwiz only has a good look to it no good features and so i dont wanna get off running for a samsung s5 UI rom, and this rom is pretty much touchwiz based i guess) , and so im looking for some good roms for it so can you please search for roms and if you can find cynogenmod roms over it, its a great big thanks but if there is paranoid android then a great big big thanks i would really appreciate your assistance even if you can help me or not
and so without further ado please help me if you can i would really like it :good: thanks in advance
guys, still no one interested??
Check this one, its better than others http://www.needrom.com/download/gionee-p4-kk-4-4-2/
