Hi folks,
My HTC One X (ViperX 4.1.1 - Android 4.2.2) has an odd behavior. I usually switch my cell off during the night. Yet, the morning I find it ON. After investigating, I noticed that the phone seems to boot when it is fully charged.
Any idea why it does that ? Fast boot option is not active.
Thanks for any help !
Common "bug" of the custom recovery.

Hey guys.
About every 3 days my HTC Desire (Amoled) reboots without any warning and stucks in a loop of the custom boot logo. When this is happening i can only take out the battery and then restart the phone. I already tried two different custom roms (latest Oxygen and latest Modaco) and both have the same problem.
Is there anybody out there having the same problems as me and also having a solution for this annoying bug?
cheers

Same my problem
/bump.....
i gotta say this has been happening to me too no idea why
This seems to be a common gingerbread issue. The only workaround I know of is to reboot the phone every day because the chances of getting into a bootloop rise with the uptime of the phone.

Supposed temporary fix found in this thread:
code.google.com/p/oxygen-rom/issues/detail?id=507#c74
I created the script as detailed in that post this morning and gone in to confirm that the permissions were applied on boot as expected, and no reboot yet. Though it's only early days (Just over 12 hours) I was getting the reboots very frequently, and have been using resource intensive stuff today and trying to vary the load in between to try and force it across all the steps that if the explanation of the possible culprit is indeed correct, would have likely resulted in a reboot by now. Will check back in as time goes on and let you know how it goes.
Hey i recently had my Desire die and i cant seem to find a solution.
First of all its 18 month old AMOLED HTC Desire A8181 with CyanogenMod 7.0.3 (with stock radio) which has been working great for well over a month. I got an SMS and went to turn the screen on only to find the phone appeared to be off, after removing the battery and putting it back in the screen stayed off but it vibrated 7 time.
I have done a few searches but there's so many varying responses and no real fixes.
Can anyone help?
Well give more information - s on / off? can you access bootloader or recovery?
What current state is the phone in etc...
My phone is Rooted, S-Off with Alphrev and has the CyanogenMod 7.0.3 Rom.
When i press the power button the phone vibrates 7 times and nothing else, the screen doesn't even power on.
Some people have told me it is bricked, other said it can be fixed with a flash (but im unsure how if it doesnt even get to the bootloader).
I appreciate any help you can give.
Bad news - as far as i am aware you need to contact htc
I don't think there is a "fix" for that... if you can't access bootloader or fastboot or anything you have no where to go
hello friend, I'm in trouble and not getting'm posting my problem in the forum, I would like to help me. good after installing Android Revolution HD with jelly bean, my phone is with the screen off, and when the screen turns on, after a few seconds, starts to hang general, but after much suffering could block the new hboot and the INSTALLING stock rom, but do not correct the problems, installation and see what progress can not 100%, it has a passing hour process of updating signatures for finalizado.nao know what else to phaco, need help from you guys. a last observation, all processes and functions as fastboot recovery, but with the screen off.
My girlfriend wanted to reboot her HTC One X, but it is in a constant bootloop. Tried to access the bootloader, but it only shows the screen for a couple of seconds and starts rebooting as well. There is no way to turn the device off. The HTC One X is running stock android and hasn't been flash. Any ideas or is it just a useless brick?
Working again, not sure what happened, but it seems that there was a problem with the battery calibration. Working perfectly now.
Hi,
As I'm tired of waiting for Orange UK to release the 4.2.2 / Sense 5 update for the HTC One X I recently flashed the Maximus HD ROM. Before I flashed this I flashed the latest Clockworkmod recovery (5.8.4.0) and everything seemed OK. However, when I switched my phone off that night and plugged it in to charge it powered itself on at some point in the night. I tried it again the next day, this time at work where I could watch it, and sure enough it powered itself on when charging (not immediately - it came on when it was at about 89%) then when I switched it back off and plugged it back in it powered itself on a few minutes later.
Is this a known bug with Clockworkmod? Does the same thing happen with TWRP? I always switch my phone off at night when I go to bed (please, no replies with "don't switch your phone off" etc.) and this behaviour drove me crazy, so I eventually went back to the stock Orange build - as soon as I removed Clockworkmod from my phone the rebooting issue disappeared.
Any advice / guidance other than "don't switch it off" etc. gratefully received!
