I'm currently running Dirty Unicorns and everything works fine until I noticed Google+ was not installed and attempted to install it from the Play Store. As soon as instillation was complete, I recieved the error: Unfortunately com.android.systemui has stopped.
Any ideas what may be causing thise?

Hi Guys,
I just installed the new 7.1 release and the only trouble I'm having is installing my apps.
I get the following error when trying to install ANY app
ERROR
"Google Maps" could not be
downloaded due to an error.
Any idea how to fix this?
I've also tried installing the latest gapps from recovery too but that didn't seem to do anything.
When installing the new 7.1 update I wiped all data/cleared dalvik cache.
Thanks!
Edit:
Yes I'm signed into my google account
I've tried downloading from both 3g/Wifi both getting the same error

have you tried to download it remotely from a pc? go to https://market.android.com/ and force it to the phone?
Thanks for your suggestion. I just tried that and my phone was grayed out.
I'm currently reinstalling CM 7.1, again by wiping data/cache. Hopefully it will be fixed this time.
EDIT: Also I was receiving a google talk authentication error frequently.
Ok just finished reinstalling CM 7.1. Apps are now being downloaded =D
Really enjoying my (problem free) Nexus 7 2013, but stock Android has some missing features compared to CM10 that is on my phone. So last night I installed CM 10.2 (8/24), and 8/13 gapps for android 4.3. Also put in a custom kernel (bulletproof). Everything set up, and then part way through installing all my apps, google play stopped with a 920 error on all the rest of the apps, and refused to do anything more.
Redownloaded both CM 10 and gapps, erased, reflashed (no custom kernel this time), same error 920 partway through the downloads.
A new CM10.2 build (8/26) was available this morning, so downloaded that, redownloaded the gapps again, and flashed. Almost all of the apps got downloaded this time, although a few had an error 923 (manually downloaded those without additional issue right away). But right at the end of the auto downloads, the play store crashed (application unexpectedly closed), and when I went back to it, error 920s again.
Some research online lead to a few possibilities:

Cleared cache on play store and play services. No help.
Titanium Backup won't find my old backups, despite walking through the instructions at the CM10.2 thread. So I can't restore the Android ID as someone suggested.
At one point I completely removed my google account, the data in the play store app, the download manager, and play services. That worked, sort of - I could download apps without error 920, but it decided that all of my previously installed apps were installed from somewhere other than the play store, so to get them back to normal state required un/reinstalling all of them. I started over instead.

This has a very detailed fix, that involves installing an updated version of the play store and a different play account. But I was already on the latest version of the play store (tried installing the same apk over top, but it didn't make any difference), and the secondary google account worked to download things, but didn't fix the first one.

While writing this post, I saw the suggestion in the s3 thread to wipe cache / dalvik and repair permissions from recovery. Tried it as a last resort, and suddenly I have full functionality again. Not sure why that fixed it, when I had done those steps as part of the install, but there you go.
Thought I would go ahead and post this as fixed in case anyone else had the same issue. All the results I found searching for this problem were for other devices, or other errors for this device. Hopefully my story and link collection will be useful to someone else.
I just got my Nexus 7 (2013), "N7b" for short?, anyway, when I started it and I began downloading all my apps, it shipped about 50 with error 920. Then it started getting them all. After that it seemed episodic. For a while they would update, for a while they would error.
I also updated the apps on some of my other devices and was also getting an occasional error downloading the apps. So, i think this is a problem with google's server, not our apps or ROMs.
Works with GNex as well.

Thanks. This worked for me and my Galaxy Nexus after I clean flashed AOKP MR-1 Milestone 2, and got the errors as my apps were downloading again.
Worked for Galaxy Tab 2!
This also worked for my Galaxy Tab 2 running CM10.2. Thanks for the post.
I am using slimkat 4.4.2 and there's a button to the right of the homebutton that usually opens a popup where i can see other apps that i have opened but after a while it stops working and gives me this error: com.android.systemui has stopped working and after that the UI disappears and restarts itself. Any ideas?
This is the most recent post relating to this issue, so here it goes.
I've been having this issue with CM11 and more recently with Pac man, I've tried many nightlies on both ROMs with the same result, "com.android.systemui stopped working" then the screen goes into a loop, the only way to get is to work again is by doing a factory reset and starting over, I've also tried flashing the same ROM and other variations in the order of installing everything again, same deal.
This really got to me so I've spent most of the day re-installing everything from scratch, one application at a time, and making a nandroid each time, until I installed Google+, once installed, it goes into a loop (as above), so I reverted back to the previous backup, and just to prove that it was Google+, I did it again , same deal, restored again, and installed all my apps except Google+, and I've had no issues. I've read across heaps of other places where they mention the problem is relate to something trying to make a change in the status bar, or related, well, I've noticed that without Google+, the top left profile icon doesn't update with my Google profile (as per my other set up in other incarnations of CM11 and Pac man nandroids),, so could there be a link where Google+ is causing this problem as it tries to update the profile?
today i installed cyanogenmod CM13 and gapps on my asus zenfone 2, the install went fine, but when i booted my phone, i selected the language, then when it went to look for updates, a system message appeared "google play services has stopped", which has caused the phone to hang at the update page, and to top it off i forgot to install TWRP, so i think im going to have an issue installing a fresh install.
does anybody have any ideas as to what i can do please?
+1 same problem

This is a CM bug (not relating to our device), showing up on a lot of devices since 3/26 builds. Chances are it will be fixed soon.

Use GApps Pico/Nano package. I am facing this issue if I use Stock GApps Package. But it goes fine with Pico/Nano Pacage...
Hello there everybody.
I hope that this article finds you in great health. I have a galaxy tab 3 and i have just installed the unofficial lineageOS 14.1 on it. But then a pop up came up saying the google play services has stopped working, and kept coming back up every 5-10 seconds. None of the google apps is working. I have tried rebooting, clearing cash amd force stopping, wiping my data, and even installing the OS and the Gapps again, but nothing seems to work!
I have now installed the OS without the Gapps temporarily. Can anyone help?
Hi.
I can confirm your problem. Nearly a week ago play services started to trouble my device. I´m back to stock a least for the moment.
