Anyone bought a SIM Tray for Galaxy Nexus GSM model and replaced on their own. I couldn't find a replacement sim tray available in ebay or a do it yourself guide. Appreciate if anyone has successfully replaced it and let me know where to get it.
I will try call Samsung US but I think they wont provide warranty for international phones, meanwhile please let me know if you have suggestions on how to replace the damaged SIM card tray.

Never mind....called samsung and they opened a repair request and sent me a shipping label. Since this was an IO device i think they cover under warranty, i was not positive but good that it is covered under warranty
Hey! I'm looking for the service manual for T889 so I can repair the correct chip pieces on the motherboard to fix my "no sim inserted issue". No, it's not the sim tray, its one of the chips relative to the sim tray and I need to figure out which one! Thanks again!
I have a D850 with a cracked screen, if I bought a different make of the LG G3 would my motherboard fit in it?
Also is the "ESN" on my motherboard? Could I buy a phone with a bad ESN and put in my motherboard (with a clean ESN) and be good to go?
Thanks in advance
Yes, you will be good to go if you bought a phone with a bad ESN and swapped it with your motherboard. As far as a different model of G3, I'm not sure. I would say stick with the T-Mobile version. I know on the Galaxy S3, the Verizon version is different than the AT&T version as far as the frame goes. The LCD and screens are the same. Good luck.

Yeah, took 10 minutes, its a really easy fix, compared to some phone's
So im about to get an LG G4 dual sim variant H818N or H818P and im worried about the hardware defect that most G4s have causing the bootloop. I wont have any way to get it repaired if that happens to mine coz i dont have LG warranty in my country. So any suggestions on what to look for in the fone? or shud i give up on a G4 altogether and get a dual sim G3 (iv been using a single sim G3 for over a year now)?
If you can't get warranty then its best to look at something else. Warranty is your only cover for what requires a motherboard replacement and this is the most expensive component of the device.
Buying new now means you will get a serial that begins with 60x. Older stock would have been sold. But there are reports, a few with that serial also being affected. Course the numbers are very low as more people bought earlier than now but since the price is atttractive there will also be more people interested.
The problem takes like 6-7 months to manifest. Which if you are in warranty gets you a fix at no cost.
If you buy one ,make sure you get with warranty . If not ,think about something else .
Looking for a board and someone to repair it will be big hassle for me so I guess il drop the idea of getting a G4. Thanks for the help.
I guess il go for a G3 then. Thanks for the help.
Hi there,
I don't know if this is the correct place to post, but any hint or suggestion will be more than welcome.
I have my LG V20 and I think it is a very good smartphone, albeit with some limitations, but overall I am very happy with its quality.
Unfortunately, I made one mistake, which is causing me some headache.
I inserted in the nanosim slot (the one which has the microsd slot as well) a simcard I had cut by hand not very accurately.
After some twiddling with it I broke one pin of the simcard slot, the power supply pin.
I took the phone to a local repair shop and while they removed the old reader/tray, they also threw it away or damaged it, so I don't have a
sample of a "known good" part
They ordered on ebay a replacement part, and unfortunately they received an incorrect part, which is quoted to be a LG G3 part.
Now I can see on alidirect and ebay a number of people who advertise the replacement sim/sc combo tray for LG V20, but I am really
uncertain as to what to order.
Does anybody know the correct part number of the sim/sd tray for LG V20? My smartphone part number is LG H990ds.
All I have been told from the repair guy is that the correct part has to be "more rectangular" than the G3 part, which I now have in hand.
Can anybody help, suggest, direct me?
Many thanks to all in advance and sorry if I posted in the wrong place.
