Has anyone tried loading the google dialer on the M8? I found something on an external site, but nothing on XDA.

Hi i have searched and searched but cant come up with anything. I am runing skyraider 4.0. When i search for a businesses listing in the browser i can not click on the phone number link and have the dialer pop up automatically any more. Any one know why this may be or how i may be able to fix it?
also i should add that if i search with Bing the links work for the dialer. It is only google phone number links... do you think it is on googles end?
Due to the well documented battery related bug* with the HTC dialer app, I'm considering removing com.android.htcdialer and replacing it with DialerOne. Anyone know if it's safe to do so? Does Dialer One have any dependancy on HTC's dialer (seems rather unlikely but I'm seeing some conflicting reports)?

On my sister's HTC Wildfire S there is only about 20 apps in the Play Store, and I can't figure it out at all!
The phone is not rooted or modified in any way as far as I know. I've tried to use my own google account to search for apps, but that doesn't work.
I hope you can help me and my sister in some way

Hello, I know it might sounds stupid but : Can you install for instance Gmail, Google phone, Google contacts and of course have no bugs, because Google phone app need some kinds of drivers don't it ? To filter calls etc..

gmail and google contacts are already installed. google dialer you cannot install as it is exclusive to nexus devices although the stock dialer is pretty similar minus the spam features on google dialer.
Using the play store so many of my favorite apps aren't available for this phone like chrome for example. I found one versi9n of chrome but it didn't synch with my account so ... Besides the point. So does anyone know where you can search for apps based on android version?
