I was just about to flash the seal v4 rom myself (just rooted same device) and I am new to this sort of thing. Do you recommend this rom Akshatk and could you tell me the pro's and con's if any with seal v4. Any other issues you have found apart from lag? I am new to all of this and am looking for a good stable rom to try instead of this stock rubbish I currently have installed
Basically i installed this rom only because of the black pull down notifications....that translucency in black..i just love it.
This rom is pretty nice, I installed No-Frills cpu control and fixed the tab on 1.2 ghz....it made the modern combat 4 work pretty good.....but call of duty strike team is still unplayable...a lot of lag...So this rom is pretty nice...and the pie controls is an awesome thing...Go for this rom...I've not found a bug in this rom till now.

Thx Akshatk, going to try it out. Seems like its just what I am looking for :good:
Installed Seal V4 along with Blackhawk kernel. All is going well and no issues with lag so far. Black and white notifications bar has a nice smooth look to it...loving the rom so far although at first I had no Seal bootup screen but I managed to sort that out by flashing rom first then kernel after a reboot.

Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone has had chance to install CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM and if it's good? I'd imagine it to be quite buggy at the moment due to the fact that it's only just been released. Quite keen to update to latest android 4.2.1 but don't want to update to a buggy ROM.

I just flashed this rom to test it out. Lots of graphical bugs(especially when using the camera) and all of the S-pen features DO NOT WORK. And i also have noticed that my power off button whenever i click it , it does not turn off the screen to go in lockscreen. Other then that..man i was so happy to see AOSP i love it so damn much but..this is just not for me i wish these bugs were fixed and then AOSP is on!!! Thanks for the link though.
No worries for the link . I was surprised no one had been talking about it on here before when in posted it. Cyanogen seems that be the most popular ROM because it's Google stock and optimised. currently using ParanoidAndroid which is great. I highly recommend. Hopefully they'll release a 4.2.1 version of that soon!!

No graphical bugs in PA at all (as far as I am aware). I'm really pleased with it. I'd recommend it to anyone. Tablet apps on this phone also work beautifully well. Like YouTube for instance.
Battery life is SLIGHTLY (we're talking marginal) decreased from Samsung ROM. However, to give you an example of how good the battery life still is - I go to work and use my phone throughout the day for Spotify. It's always connected to wifi at work as I have hardly any signal. I am also always connected to GPS so i can get the most out of things like google now etc. I unplug at 8:30 and get home for about 6:30 every night. My battery when I get home is usually 60%. So I can't complain. When I had my iPhone I used to have to stay constantly tethered!!
I have a problem with both games installed, I need to install chainfire3d so that NFS MW would work (black screen problem), but when I install chainfire3d, TDKR shows graphical problems, I tried messing with the per-app setting but still no progress
What should I to so I can keep both games without switching chainfire3d on and off? thanks in advance
In case you need my device's details:
R800i
ROM: NXT 1.3 LE
Kernel: DooMKernel

You are using a very good gaming rom and one of the best kernels out there. I dont think there is a need for chainfire. When you enable chainfire it tries to reduce the graphics for better performance but in TDKR it will only mess it up.
I dont really know what the problem is. Have you tried overclocking??
I use chainfire so that I can play NFS most wanted, I'm getting the black screen problem (only UI and taillights are visible) if I don't use chainfire with the powerVR plugin
Solution? Use de-bloated stock ROM. Nuff said.

Excuse me, is there a MORE debloated stock rom than NXT LE???
I admire the talents of our devs but I just don't trust custom ROMs. Debloated as they may be, devs usually add features that are not to my liking. If you ask TLRTheory, he'll tell you the same... That the best ROM is stock ROM. My point here is that to be able to properly play games without having to add mods and tweaks time and again is to play using a stock ROM debloated to the brim so as to boost performance.

As much as I respect tlrtheory an like his viedeos on YouTube I would have to disagree with you both nxt le is the fastest rom I've ever used more so than a debloated stock
But tbh it does all come down to personal opinion
And the joy of of being able to tweak stuff to get Better performance and even messing up really bad and having to start over again is good learning but again everything comes down to opinion and preference

Hi all, i just bought my nexus 7 2013. Eavreything is smooth fast and cool but i noticed now 3 times that after power use( playing game, web browsing, multitasking with tablet) it goes slow amd laggy. Eaven touch press get deleyed for half second.
Tried to clear ram, but only reboot it seems to help.
Anyone have same probs? And how to fix that or?
P.s. im stil on stocl rom 4.4.2 nonrooted but i'll probalby root it soon, so any idea how to fix that lagg?
Not sure friend but if you are rooting i recommend cleanrom as it has no problems at all and a custom kernel like glitch. Both work excellent for me

I did oc to 1700 and 490mhz for now very smoth no probles, multitask work fine no lagg wahtsoever, just battery seems to consume fats. Thanks for replay i'll try cleanroom in the future for sure.
I've been using PAC Man 4.2.2 rom and then switched to CM10.1 4.3 ROM.
Am a regular and heavy phone user .. I was away from these forums for sometime and now i need to know the best 4.4 ROM which i can use. I know HDMI & FM will not work but atleast rest all key features should work. Kindly suggest.
You can go for v5 of Carbon ROM. It is smooth and very suitable for daily use. Note, I'm saying v5 as v6 has many bugs. Or if You can wait, The Developer is soon going to release next version which will sort out bugs of v6.

Both are having some issues currently. v7 has random boots and some ui freezes. v8 is very smooth but has problems with video players, none of them (mx player, vlc,etc ) work. Although the default video player works fine. And there is a constant call waiting sound while being on call even though there is no call waiting. The Developer has the solution for the false call waiting sound issue and will fix it soon.

Thanks for the update mirhawk will wait. Jus waiting for one stable version to taste the kit kat flavour.
I personally love Carbon ROM. But, as the v8 has the bugs, i am looking forward to next version. If it can get rid of the bugs, It'll be golden. Right now I am using PureSlim-KitKat R1(4.4.2). You can flash it. I haven't seen any bugs yet. Nice and Smooth. Best for daily use. You can play some games too! :fingers-crossed:
If you love kitkat on your XS like me, I'll say, try it once.

Hi
I'm using AOKP Milestone[Stable] it's an awesome rom but after I play a game or watch a video (when the GPU is triggered i suppose) the rom goes crazy some parts of the system and apps become transparent respond to my touches but not displayed so i thought it's a kernel related problem so i flashed LuPuS kernel my favourite kernel but WiFi won't work even after flashing multiple modules
If anyone has a soloution for any of the two problems please provide it
Thanx

hey bro, may i advice you to change to LX CM11. CM9 is stone age & CM11 runs far more better. battery is like on stock or even better. its also fully stable. you will love it
thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545354
Thnx for the advice
But the reason why im still using ICS/CM9 ROMS is that the sound of 4.1+ roms is not as good and loud as ICS ROMS if there is a solution for that problem it would be awesome
I tried AC!D MOD PimpUpMyRom Tweaks but i didn't feel a change (Maybe i didn't use them right)
