Hello everyone
I like to know if there is any way to amplify the vibration of this device.
I searched several android applications, but nothing at all.
I enabled the root access on my W Galaxy, installed some advanced tools but have not yet managed a way to increase the vibration of the device.
Best Regards

Improve the vibration via Kernel configuration

Hello people
After many searches and trying dozens of applications, one guy tell how I can make this improvement, but this level of programming is too high for me, but, here is the solution to increase the vibration of Galaxy W:
Response from Mr Chad Froebel (Google Play application developper):
You should be able to get it from samsung. I googled the specifications and it looks like it uses a qualcomm chip so the
vibration driver will most likely be at:
/arch/arm/mach-msm/msm_vibrator.c
You're going to want to get the kernel source, modify that file (there is a parameter called PMIC_VIBRATOR_LEVEL) and then compile a new kernel.
If you are unsure how to compile a kernel yourself, you may be able to contact someone who develops specifically for your device to compile one for you.
I would, but I do not have the device to test it on and I don't like to send out kernels that I haven't personally tested.
if it experienced programmer does not feel comfortable doing this adaptation, I imagine that I am a mere apprentice.
Nevertheless I am downloading the open source code available from Samsung and when able to do this modification safely post here for all
Who wants the source code of Samsung mobile phones, just download the template for your specic phone at the following site:
Denied permission to put the link of Samsung opensource phones sdk
* How I am still new in the forum I do not yet have permission to post the Samsung site that contains open source code available, but can easily find the official site or searching on google for opensource.samsung
Any help is welcome!
I'm no developer either, but I guess I'll give it a try later :-D

Hi all, i'm new here, searched for my answer high and low and can't seem to find it, hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I'm using the Assassin 6.0 rom.
For my notifications there doesnt seem to be a clear all button, i have to manually swipe each individual one to get rid of them.
I can't post in the thread for answers as i've less than 10 posts.
Hoping someone can give me some insight to what the issue is and a possible fix. as it's a bit of a ballache to clear notifications one by one at times.
Thanks

It's Simplistic Framework.
I got a feeling simplistic framework might of had something to do with it.
Thanks guys. Is there anything that can be done or is it just something simplistic framework can't have at the moment?

Good choice.
Which is great, but none of the modules work for me. I know it's in alpha, so there's work to do. Some reports of bootloops, but a lot of users appear to be having a perfect ride. I had no problem installing the zip and then the APK, and I gave it root access just fine. It's just that no mods work.
I'm asking here if anyone has had success on the G3. Maybe there's something unique to our device that makes it glitchy. There are a lot of Nexus and other devices having a good go. Here's a screen shot with the mods I loaded. Yeah, I know Lollipop has Smart Lock, but that's been hit or miss for me, so I tried the xposed mod for that.
Any G3's rocking xposed? If so, did you do anything different than is outlined in the OP?

There are no G3 "rocking" xposed. It's only a first alpha release, meant for people who know java, art and xposed and are able and willing to help Rovo debug it on various phones.
Simply put, it doesn't work yet. Wait for a stable release.

Sorry of "rocking" rubbed you the wrong way. What if I asked if anyone was wearing xposed like a boss? Rovo didn't present is as something to be tested by a select few here or on Google+. It is more like: You've been waiting for this, and here it is. It's in alpha, so you might well see glitches. Give it a try.
I'm not saying he was careless with his presentation. I'm saying Rovo didn't intend for this to be an underground test specifically for those proficient with Java and art.
I've been on discussion board for ten years or so, and I've always had the problem of using too many words to ask a simple question. In this case it's: Has anyone got xposed to work with a G3 on Lollipop?

Sorry, my bad, i misunderstood you.
Yeah, it's working, as good as alpha should. Both on cm12 and stock 20h. However, it conflicts with smart cover and weather services on stock rom, so they have to be frozen or deleted. It also needs selinux to be in permissive mode.
Modules made for user apps (AppSettings, youtube in background, etc) work, modules like cpu frequency or temp in status bar work, coolTool would probably work too.
Massive tweakers, like g3 tweaksbox or gravity box + most framework tweaks (halo, multiwindow, etc etc etc) need massive updates to work on L.
Sorry for being quite ignorant

Ive had many sprint phone's however I've had 2 cell phone models that I've rooted ever since i found it about it. An lg g3
And the one I'm posting with right now: s6
Ive noticed that for both (moreso with samsung) there is never really interesting mods or any real rom selection etc . How come this is? What's up with sprint specifically that makes it so difficult to customize/modify their devices? Im not *****ing or anything is just an observation . For instance there are tons of roms that include a lot of things I'd like on my phone but they are all compatible with every carrier other than sprint. Anyway of anyone had an answer or a path to lead me to ... that'd be cool. Hell, you can call me a dickhead and ill be happy

For starters there isn't as many devs for Sprint phones as there is for other carriers. Further more, Sprint is CDMA so making unlock mods like we did for the G3 is far harder. Not to mention just developing for Samsung in General is harder as they have more Anti-Root protection then say LG or HTC. We are currently working as hard as possible to bring cool mods and tweaks to this device... Sorry for the wait though

Also, don't forget there are oodles of Xposed modules you can use. I personally believe that is the main reason there aren't many mods/ROMs. I personally stopped developing ROMs because of this. Instead, I debloat and smali edit my own device to my liking, then write my own module to add the features I like. Before, I used to do smali edits, and make everything relate to one another. So users could add their own features, or choose the ones I built in. Nowadays, you can just install and uninstall the xposed modules you want. A lot easier for us developers. I also think android in general is getting more user friendly. They now have "theme stores" for users to apply a theme without root. I'm not sure what kind of "mods" you would be looking for that isn't already done via xposed or something else, but theming always seemed to be the biggest hit. I personally just theme my launcher.
However, there are some features from the S6 Edge I would like to have, so I downloaded the S6 edge ROM and may port it to our device.
TLDR: To simply answer your concern, I don't think development isn't there. I think its just easier for people to use xposed then fully mod an entire ROM and make the installer zip and everything like that for it.

Ahh that makes sense I need to go back thru xposed more thoroughly and how would i go about creating a module? That seems like something i would be interested in. And as far as mods go , im the type that ,even though I'm impressed with what i have i haveban insatiable need to make it one click better ( similar to the custom marshall stacks in the movie spinal tap that the volume dial went up to 11 instead of the standard 10, lol idk if you seen the movie or not) but mainly id like to modify the camera to a higher resolution and possibly include the ability to leave the shutter open as long as i want , those are just a couple of mods i would love to have haha i know I'm asking for an impossibility but those are the kind of ideas i come up with i just have no clue how to create such madness haha

I too want better quality from the camera. I believe that is needed by a kernel mod, or a .SO mod. The latter of the two is harder. But I want better slow mo quality, should be able to adjust bitrate, and maybe hopefully fps. But having the shutter open as long as you want, I like that idea! I may see what I can do. You can easily make the volume go to 11 instead of 10, but you won't get a volume boost. What I personally do, is use the mixer_paths.xml to boost the volume, then add more volume steps. On my S5 I had 20 volume steps for everything, and it worked great. Allowed for more minute adjustments, but still get the volume boost from the mixer_paths.xml.
About creating an xposed module, just look it up on the forums. Plus there are YouTube guides which tell you step by step how to do it. You do need to know Java coding though. Its extremely easy to learn though.

And I personally think I am very good with xposed and smali reading. I used to make ALL my mods through smali alone. I even wrote a "smali coder" that would translate java into smali without compiling anything. That tool though has long since been lost as well as its source code since I don't use it anymore. I now use Virtous Ten Studio for smali work cause of being able to link condition statements and stuff. Its got flaws, but it works. I will probably end up writing my own that way it does everything I would like it too.

We do, it's a CSC tweak, but you can only add tweaks like that if you freshly flash a ROM. If we have xposed, you can add it anytime without having to reinstall.
Come to think of it, could you do something like XTouchWiz?

I have a problem when sending many sms. I get that warning from Android, on which I have to choose if I allow or decline . By default I think the limit is for 30 sms/hours
How can I solve this for Android 6 Marshmallow?
I know there are some tricks for other versions of Android, but for Android 6 does anyone succeeded in some way to disable the sms hour limit?
Thank you

Great... !
I asked once in the CM forums, and got some very unkind answers.... I was hoping someone (maybe developers from the CM) to find a way or explain how can the limit be removed in every 6.0 ROM. Maybe something like in the KitKat version (go and edit some .db files, add some variables). In RR and other CM based ROM's , you can only select predefined values for the limit, but what is done in the background... few people know...
Maybe someone, someday, will find a way....

Ok I had done a little research for you and I think I have found what you asked for:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...ternal/telephony/SmsUsageMonitor.java#L59-L78
As you can see this is an internal telephony setting which afaik cannot be adjusted by just modding a file. It has to be implemented in the ROM.
some apps seem to bypass that limit somehow but that seems to be another story. People reported that removing the preinstalled SMS app had also removed the limitations for them but well you could give it a try but I do not think that this will solve it.

Thank you so much... At least now is more clear. I am using Textra and I froze the default SMS app. But still the limit was there. I can only hope someone will implement this, mayve in g4 TweakBox or and Xposed module.
