Quite obvious bug, and a lot of people have had this bug.
For anyone asking what it is: Swipe up from home screen. That's the shortcut for google now, by default. However, after some time, the gesture doesn't work. Aditionally, I've changed the recent key to toggle torch when long-pressed. However, that doesn't work either if the swipe up doesn't work.
Anyone found a fix for this bug? Strangely, this bug has been appearing in both 4.3 v1(15.4.A.0.23) and v2(15.4.A.1.9).
BTW, I posted this in Q&A and it appearing in general. Mods please move. Also, there is no clear delete button.
Still no one able to fix this issue?

I can't seem to save my shortcuts anymore. I go into the camera and edit my shortcuts, but when I leave the app and re-open the camera, the shortcuts revert to the default setting. I've found no way to save them.
Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks!

No, saving shortcuts work for me.
Thanks, Droid_ra
After I read your post, I tried something new. I don't know if the issue was related to how I was exiting the edit menu, or if it suddenly decided working on it's own, but my camera is saving shortcuts now.
Initially, I was re-organizing my shortcuts and hitting the "back" button when I was done.
This time around, I hit the "menu" button when I was done organizing them, and it seems to have saved (did a reboot, and the shortcuts are still where they should be).
Thanks again!
Anyone else noticing lag on the home button after 4.3? I have noticed when I try the home button and close out a program, it takes two or three taps to get it to register. It seems to be a RAM related issue as it reacts better when I do clear ram. I am wondering if anyone else has this issue. Mods - if this needs stuck in another thread please move it freely. I just didn't know if a new thread was warranted or not for it.

Open svoice app in app drawer. ...change setting there
Thanks, I completely forgot as I had svoice disabled in 4.1. I don't even use it. Its all google now for me.
I was having the same issue and disabled the S-Voice option. I just did the change in the s-voice settings but so far it seems to be pretty responsive.
For anyone interested there is a TON of info on this but essentially double tap the home button to open S-voice (or navigate to it in the app drawer). Hit the menu button (lower left of the phone). Select settings, untick the "Open via the Home Key" option.
I googled it and found that this may be what many people were looking for but I don't know why it started to behave like this.
I do find the swiping up from home button gesture useful for me to launch Google search but somehow it stop working. There usually should be a semicircle with 'Google' on top when halfway swiping up but what I get now is a search icon that function as it will launch last used app (if swiping gesture is done in launcher) or will do nothing (when gesture done in any app other than launcher). I did not disable Google Search, reboot didn't help, and clearing cache of Google search didn't help too.
I don't know what I did to get this as a result. Any clue on what's happening? Nexus 7 2013 stock kitkat

Dolphin browser causing this. Uninstalled it and everything is back to normal
Is anyone else having the issue of their on screen nav buttons cutting off part of the google maps screen? When I'm navigating I can't see the ETA section or hit the 'X' to close navigation. Really annoying. I'm wondering if it's a maps app issue or possibly the ROM I'm using somehow. I'm on the latest ICE custom ROM. Also, it might be related, but when the pop up asking which app i want to use for various options pops up (ie when I click a number to call it asks if I want to use phone or skype) I can't click on the 'Just Once' or 'Always' option because it makes me hit the nav keys (even though I am hitting the 'Always' selection). Thanks for any help.
Need to file a bug report....
Nexus 6 Android 7.1
I've been having an issue where I will hold the home button down to pull up search, tap on the search bar to bring up the keyboard, and within a few seconds the search bar clears itself and closes the keyboard.
I made a screen recording to show you the issue in action. The first instance I don't type anything, just wait, and it closes itself. The second time I starting typing and it happens again. So basically every time I open search I have to tap the search bar, wait for the keyboard to close, then tap the search bar again, then it works... until i need to search something else.
Here is the screen recording
Here is the logcat of the crash
12-03 10:01:36.449 824 1796 seems to be what it spits out when the keyboard actually closes.
I was just going through the logcat and saw TeslaCoil in there, so I tried another launcher. Magically the issue was remedied. I've encountered several people on both stock Android and custom ROMs that are having the same issue.

You will probably have a lot more success posting this in the Nova Launcher thread.
