4.0.4 Stock Update Camera Issue - Anyone else? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I can't seem to save my shortcuts anymore. I go into the camera and edit my shortcuts, but when I leave the app and re-open the camera, the shortcuts revert to the default setting. I've found no way to save them.
Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks!
-Unrooted Stock ROM

No, saving shortcuts work for me.

Thanks, Droid_ra
After I read your post, I tried something new. I don't know if the issue was related to how I was exiting the edit menu, or if it suddenly decided working on it's own, but my camera is saving shortcuts now.
Initially, I was re-organizing my shortcuts and hitting the "back" button when I was done.
This time around, I hit the "menu" button when I was done organizing them, and it seems to have saved (did a reboot, and the shortcuts are still where they should be).
Thanks again!

[Q] Quick Question, Nils 3.5 Business Gingersense

From the lock screen, when I drag any of the camera, phone, or email apps into the ring it opens the appropriate app as I would expect. However when I drag the messages icon into the ring it only unlocks the phone and brings me to my default home screen.
Is this right or is something broken on my end? I have tried to send messages and see if it would work when I had an unread message. It worked at least once and opened messages, but 99% of the time it just unlocks?
Appreciate any feedbak, the ROM is awesome, love it, and this is a tiny issue or question!
Thanks!
Have you placed a different app there then put "Messages" back onto the lock screen shortcuts?
Thanks, adding another, then readding messages seems to have fixed it.
Appreciate the response!
Just to add the app just needs to be remapped, you don't have to change to another and then back, it just doesn't seem to point to the correct one to begin with. My default home screen shortcut didn't work either.
As a noob, it took me a while to find where to change the lockscreen setting. KrisPeezy pointed it out in the development thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1267158&page=193 "menu-personalize-display-lock screen shortcuts"
Figured I'd add it here for anyone else who needs it.

[Q] Home button

Anyone else noticing lag on the home button after 4.3? I have noticed when I try the home button and close out a program, it takes two or three taps to get it to register. It seems to be a RAM related issue as it reacts better when I do clear ram. I am wondering if anyone else has this issue. Mods - if this needs stuck in another thread please move it freely. I just didn't know if a new thread was warranted or not for it.

Custom kernels will hopefully help out with this a bit once they become available more

Open svoice app in app drawer. ...change setting there
Thanks, I completely forgot as I had svoice disabled in 4.1. I don't even use it. Its all google now for me.
I was having the same issue and disabled the S-Voice option. I just did the change in the s-voice settings but so far it seems to be pretty responsive.
For anyone interested there is a TON of info on this but essentially double tap the home button to open S-voice (or navigate to it in the app drawer). Hit the menu button (lower left of the phone). Select settings, untick the "Open via the Home Key" option.

The Swipe up home bug

Quite obvious bug, and a lot of people have had this bug.
For anyone asking what it is: Swipe up from home screen. That's the shortcut for google now, by default. However, after some time, the gesture doesn't work. Aditionally, I've changed the recent key to toggle torch when long-pressed. However, that doesn't work either if the swipe up doesn't work.
Anyone found a fix for this bug? Strangely, this bug has been appearing in both 4.3 v1(15.4.A.0.23) and v2(15.4.A.1.9).
BTW, I posted this in Q&A and it appearing in general. Mods please move. Also, there is no clear delete button.
Still no one able to fix this issue?

Disable camera lockscreen shortcut (no ZenMotion)

Hello everyone,
While I was testing my phone and pressing everywhere, I might found a feature I didn't read anywhere.
I know there is the ZenMotion, and it works great. By writing a "C" on the screen, you launch the camera app. But I don't talk of that (and I disabled this shortcut)
After locking the screen, press the volume button twice (down-down, up-up or even up-down and down-up). It launches also the camera app.
This isn't a ZenMotion feature (I disabled everything and the shortcut still works).
Is someone having this shortcut too? Did someone know how to disable the shorctcut?

The setting for the double click volume key to launch camera from sleep is in Settings -> Lock Screen
At least on the US version running the WW firmware. See attached image.
Ohhh. Got it. The setting is here.
Thanks!

Question Lockscreen not always showing

The problem:
I will hit the power button to sleep the device. I have fingerptint/pin set as my lockscreen. My lockscreen wallpaper and home wallpaper are different, so the issue is easy to see. I sleep the device, then anywhere from 1-30 seconds later I hit the button again to wake it. Instead of showing the fingerprint scanner and my lockscreen wallpaper, it shows my home wallpaper, with the small gesture bar at the bottom. There are two ways to get past this, swipe down from the top for the quick tiles and then swipe them back up and the lockscreen wallpeper and fingerprint scanner shows. Or I can hit power to sleep and then power to wake again and my lockscreen is there.
I thought the issue was with the kernel at first because I hadn't noticed it outside of installing it. After flashing to stock kernel I noticed it happening again. It happens once every 5-10 wakes. It's not super annoying, but still annoying.
I have tried backing up and restoring everything from Google One, then rooting, then with and without a custom kernel, still the same issue.
I have also tried backing up and restoring all my data through SwiftBackup. For apps I backup all user app data parts: APKs, Data, Ext. data, Expansion, and Media. (Not sure if I even need to but certain games etc I don't want to lose data). After I restore I use the same Magisk 24000 to patch and flash the boot.img.
No matter what I've tried, the issue still seems to persist. If it helps, I am on Android SP2A.220405.004
If anyone might know what is causing this or how I can fix it, that would be great. Thanks!
