Case-mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum cases for GS2

Hey I checked and did not see these posted yet. Casemate has there brushed aluminum barely there cases available for the GS2. I have never used one myself, but just ordered one. They look slick and professional, and I have had great luck with there cases in the past. $32.00 w/ coupon and free shipping. Not bad.
http://www.case-mate.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-Cases/Case-Mate-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-Barely-There-Brushed-Aluminum-Cases.asp
Also found 2 coupons for any of there cases:
fblike20 for 20% off
cmretail10 for 10% off
I don't like the CM logo on case. Look ugly!
That is one of the nicest cases ive seen yet for the GS2 im not worried about the small logo the brushed aluminum looks very sleek indeed, i already have 2 cases but i may just get this if it goes down in price which it probably will in a few months.
I use the same one made out of plastic, but I wonder if this affects reception, seeing as its made of metal?
Think there was a thread about how the person lost GPS/AGPS capabilities totally when indoors while using this case. It apparently became ok once the case is off.

Can anyone with this case confirm or deny any issues affecting signal or gps with this case?
I really like the design and looks premium but is very expensive dont want to have to buy another case after this !
I bought it and it kills GPS for me. Indoors, outdoors everywhere..
Without the case fix in less than 2 seconds.

Disappointing SGP Neo Hybird Case: Common popping up issue of the back

I bought 2 SGP Neo Hybird Cases 1 months ago.
1 for myself and another one for my girlfriend.
Mine is in silver color while my girlfriend's one is in red
Initially it fits well, look good.
The silver one has a different texture from the others, which is more slippery. So if you want a tight grip, then don't get silver.
But then bad thing occurs after 2 weeks.
The black silicon inner case deformed as you can see in the picture and no longer fit the back of the phone, which totally ruined the grip and texture of the case. The case popping is just annoying.
I then called the authorized dealer in Hong Kong and send them pictures of my case as you can see in this post.
They reply, saying that they are not providing any warranty for this case, and the silicon used is prone to deformed upon heating.
They asked
"Did you put your phone in pockets of your pants or charge your phone with the case on?"
I was shocked when the customer service asked me this. This is so ridiculous. It seems that these cases are really prone to getting out of shape. I never had a case that would deform just by putting the phone in pockets or charging the phone with case on.
I didn't do anything to overheat my phone. I did use customized ROM, the AOKP, and franco kernel. I only used milestone versions which should be stable. I never overclock my phone, but the case just deformed.
It does not seem to be a single issue.
My girlfriend's one is fine at 2 weeks, but now it starts to deform similarly to mine. Please be reminded that it is just 1 month since I purchased the cases.
I know that some people fancy about this case, yet I didn't see any review posted here.
This is what I experienced with 2 cases of the SGP Neo Hybird.
I think it does look good, but it doesn't last at all.
Oops, ya. The dealer promised to reflect my issue to SGP, but I got no reply after more than 1 week. So no good customer service and no warranty, and the case is easily deformed while the price is high. So I would discourage you guys from getting this.
It's one of the most regretful purchase I've had.

After looking at the replies, quite a number of people reported the same issue while a relatively few said theirs were fine.
OK I could be a little biased as mine have the problem. So see the replies here. Still take note that it's like a problem reporting thread so I might gathered more negative comments in this post.

I have all the SGP Neo Hybird Cases except black. I haven't had a problem with warping or anything like that. Been using them for at least a few months. I've dropped my Nexus numerous times. I've even done the ole' "drop the phone try to catch it with my foot, but actually kick it across the floor" routine. Mine have held up pretty well. The silicon is still form fitting....

Mine bubbled up after a while of the phone getting too hot. the volume button silicon part cracked and tore a little from it too. I ended up getting another case from another manufacturer.....

Me too have the exact problem. The camera part does get hot after awhile of web browsing, video, or gaming. Silicon material does deform and expand when expose to heat that's around 30 degrees Celsius. I would avoid any silicon case in the future.

They definitely don't last. They're not an expensive case, but for what they are (quality wise) the price should be divided by 3. My much more inexpensive Androidify case is "worth" more.

Next time go with the Ultra Hybrid, which has a hard plastic backing that won't deform.
Yeah I recommend the Ultra Hybrid as well... I did a review on it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1659677
On my video I actually mentioned why I wouldn't recommend the Neo for that exact reason. I hope they refund you!
Where did you get the cases from? Are you sure they are not fakes?
i think the iPhone cases have also had a similar issue, i had the neo hybrid before selling it and getting the Ultra hybrid. it feels a tiny bit thinner around the edges and more grippy as the silicone is around the edges.
Pretty sure the looseness has been posted about. It does get worse with heat but mine is not nearly as bad, however I have the Verizon version with the extended battery. If you have the gsm version go with the ultra hybrid, it has better reviews.

yeah I've seen a few people mention this problem, which is why I went with the ultra hybrid rather than the neo.. even tho I liked the neo colours better.
My ultra hybrid has been all good so far, love it =)

Yes I'm sure they are not faked. The case packing have the authorized dealer's logo and SGP HK dealer have seen my recept and regarded it as real.
What I feel bad is not only the quality of the cases, it's how the company handle defect products.
They showed no eagerness to solve my problem.
A case that is known to be deformed easily is still selling on their website.
People complain and get no reply.
That's SGP.
Only if you have perfect confidence on a specific product from SGP or your have no similar choice, or else I would try products from other companies instead.
Hope all of your ultra hybrid continue to function as intended.
Why dont you do this? You said sgp got no reply.

Did you leave yours out in the sun or under a heat lamp? Just sayin..
Check out the Momax iCase. Cheap, and fits well.
Myself & one of my best friends have the same problem.
He has the extended battery & has done exactly the same as yours while myself I don't own the extended battery own & it has just bubbled in the centre.
It annoying because I adore this case (Just feels perfect) but this small problem is annoying :-/

Any pics?
I know there are pics on Ebay but would like pics not from sellers.
It looks kinda bulky and was wondering if it has the same slim form has the SGP cases.
I currently have been using the SGP neo hybrid ~ one month now and no "sagging" of the silicone part yet.....if it does start to sag I may go with the MoMax or just get the ultra hybrid.

No... I think I have been using it quite properly.
Maybe I took it on and off quite often? Like twice a day??
It seems that the quality of this case is not standardized. Some people say it's ok while quite a number of others have the same problem with me.

I ended up getting another case from another manufacturer (more like an otterbox but not as thick and not as heavy) but the sagging has atleast enabled me to keep the battery cover on when using it now, before it worked nicely without the battery cover and the battery stayed tight.
Just cut the stupid rubber back off... Make it a bumper case, which is way better anyway

then again, I have the 2000 mAh battery, and it seems to fill out the back of the case a little bit more. I'd suspec that with the 1750 battery, it wouldn't fit as well.
i like the case though. my favorite so far.

Spigen flip case vs samsungs

So I have a question, Samsungs flip case is a piece if garbage from what I've read.. It gets overly flimsy, it's layers start to peel, it's horrible in pockets, and it starts to get loose.
The issue I'm having is I'm finding amateur reviews from people who have had the spigen one for only 1 days.. I'm trying to find reviews from after like a couple months.. Or if any of you can tell me how well the spigen one is compared to samsungs piece of garbage..
I'm also curious about people's personal opinion on the ultra flip metallic one.. Found a couple views saying it peels? Yet on the normal there isn't many complains about peeling
All help is appreciated
i disagree.
my illuzion flip case is flawless. im about to buy another since I dont plan to pick up the s4.

Otterbox commuter replacement

So I recently got a replacement from otterbox for my commuter case. These new batches seem to be very poor quality. This is the second replacement I've received and they are practically unusable. The plastic outer shell is bigger than the inner rubber. It's like they changed the mold for the rubber but not the plastic. Has anyone else experienced this? I wrote to Otterbox but they didn't really acknowledge that there is a problem.
get ballistic sg or bodyglove shocksuit and forget about issues.
I might try the ballistic case, not a fan of the bodyglove case. I was looking at the Speck candyshell cases but they seem to be overpriced.
Ballistics are great! Had the sgmax andhad no complaints

I have a uag case, not my favorite

Been seeing this in Wal Mart for $30-40 lately. Seems like a decent case. Waterproof, dustproof and wallet breaking proof. Seems like the way to go to me right now. Body Glove Tough Suit which was the same price has worked great for the last 4 months but the dust getting into the phone is getting old. Anything beats an otterbox it seems, they've been cheaply made for the S3 for awhile now from the research I've done and have been known to break screens and fail to defend the phone.
For a similar plastic-on-silicone case, you might look at the Seidio active. Available with or without kickstand, and also available in a version for their extended battery.
I personally used the latter until I got my lifeproof.
There's also a similar version (called the Convert) that goes overtop of their battery case (the Innocell).
Thanks for all the input. I can't decide what to get next.
FWIW, I've got the Defender, Commuter, UAG, Shocksuit, and others.
The Shocksuit is my current favorite.
You said that you weren't a fan of the Shocksuit...
Style, function, bad prior experience?
Just curious...
I didn't really like the feel of the shocksuit or the uag. Not bad cases by any means, just not my preference.

I also received a replacement a few months ago, but I've recently just switched to it now. The molding is indeed different. I like the new volume/power buttons that are much easier to press than the my original early model one. Also, there's little ridges on the flaps for the usb/headphones so it is easier to open. My previous one was hard to pry open I had to use my nails and they tore the rubber. The one bad thing is you can clearly see the molding lines on the corners that you see. Awful. Hope it's better than the early ones.
Apparently I get generic email responses from otterbox. I emailed them again about the issue and they are shipping ANOTHER case. Now I'll have 2 brand new cases that are useless, lol. I don't think they understand my complaint. Maybe I'll sell them and buy a new case.
Yep, another crappy replacement. I'm gonna try and sell em and buy something else

Durable clear case that doesn't stain or yellow?

I am looking to find a nice, durable clear case for the XL. I've had a couple cheaper TPU cases in the past, but they were not very durable and after a while would get kind of gross and even begin to discolor. I am leaning towards picking up the Lifeproof Next and am wondering if anyone has it and like it or if there might be some other good options out there?
I prefer the ones with the PC back instead of tpu since they don't yellow. I've got the ringke and caseology ones which are both good. there are a ton of options on Amazon/eBay/AliExpress, a lot of times they'll come up under a search for bumper
Ringke Fusion but get the smoke black instead of the clear. It's still clear but with darkened edges so it hides any discoloration much better.
I've been using this one for a couple weeks and so far/so good...$10 on Amazon...

That looks just like my Caseology Waterfall Series case and one that I saw on AliExpress. I've been happy with mine so far and wireless charging is fine. We'll see how well it ages and resists yellowing or hardening.
The hard back on it is a total fingerprint magnet, like it gets downright greasy sometimes, which is actually pretty gross ?
But, I tend to just wipe the back across my jeans if it gets gross and it doesn't show a single scratch yet, and not a bit of discoloration that I can see, like 3 weeks in now. For $10 I'm very happy with it.
Don't know if you picked anthing up yet but I have had great success with the RINGKE CLear Fushion on every phone I have owned inlcuding the Pixel 3XL - excellent case. Good Luck
