[Patch]Telephone Call Recording

For those has problem in recording telephone conversation on SGS2 can try this patch, I am using Leomar GB 2.3.4 ROM with this CWM-patch taken from Chinese ROM. Good 2way voice quality using Ultimate Voice Recorder 2.71 other telephone recording software should work too.
Remember backup your ROM before testing in case you may get infinite loopback after flashing

Hi, 2 questions, is this not a "call recording" app itself ? and does it needs kernel support ?, thanks.

Will try it and post my experience here.. I hope this must be a addon to the phone app...
this is just the lib files you still need recording app to do the recording. You can use Cris ROM and patch with this lib. You should get clear voice conversation in the recording
I´m already recording phone calls without this hack, just installed an app (callrecorder) and its working really good, clear voice on both sides.

yep same here...
just install newest Total Recall v1.7.6
select recording method "C" (you can try trial before buying it, if it works!)
worked on KE2 stock and now on KF3 ... so no hack or what so ever...
Conversation impossible if call recording active and BT audio device used.
This patch can't resolve it

Same here, Hacking code is not needed..This apk works flawlessly and doesn't mess with anything else.
does this work with kh3 odex??
CallRecorder TotalRecall obstructs the operation of SIP/VOIP and Bluetooth headphones when use it for bidirectional recording on mode "C"

[Q] Two way call recorder?

Hi there!
I am looking for an software to record my calls. Unfortunatelly I wasn't able to find a proper one. I need a software which doesn't use the mic for recording..
Any ideeas, please?
If you have root. CallRecorder.apk

Hi there!
I instaled ecorder 1.0.45 alpha on my Wildfire S with a stock 2.3.5 ROM and rooted. It seems to record 2 way from line, but the other way sounds to be distorted from time to time (in call and in the recorded file).
It records the conversation only if I chose Kernel with 2-way call recording patch (even if my phone doesn't have such patch). If I chose Standards Android API, CallRecorder will generate a 0 bytes file..
Here's what I`ve done.
1. Temp rooted my wildfire s.
2. Installed CallRecorder.apk
3. Both sides recording works like a charm

It craps out a lot even overclocked to 806 mhz.
Garbles the conversation.
Unfortunately IT is the best solution out there.
Thanks a lot d33ps1x

I realise now that is a hardware problem... Marvel is not powerfull enough to record a conversation...
I had a HTC Touch Diamond with Windows Mobile and 128 MB RAM and this was not a problem!

Hi nz_ranger!
Don't you have garbled conversations when CallRecorder is in use?
Witch version are you using?
My phone is rooted and S-OFF with a stock ROM.
@nz_ranger
Which version. I've had no luck with any version using wav, flac, mp3, etc.
Hi guys,
Version 1.0.45 alpha full
set to record in .mp3
No garbled conversations, but you got to have some spare internal memory I guess in order to record flawlessly. Mine is 25MB
Hi there!
New version here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643
It seems that a patched kernel is necessary for Wildfire S..
I will test it..
did you try androrec ?
here is it : AndroRec Free Call Recorder
it works for me perfectly... no lag or anything...
Hi!
Does androrec record 2 WAY FROM LINE ?
L.E. - Already tried.. It dowsn't record 2 way from line... It records both ways from mic.. Useless!

I think you will need to turn on the speaker in order to do a 2-way recording.
Hi,
What custom rom/kernel supports 2 way call recording?

In short, it doesn't work. I use stuff like this to go back when someone tells me number or gives directions .. So it's pretty important for it to work for the incoming voice and in noisy areas.

Did you manage to find out a way to record call on both sides using WFS rooted? I have ROM 4.1.2 thunderbolt V2.1.1 and have installed CallRecorder version: 1.4.5. Using Kernel option , voice is distorted from time to time. Can you suggest a way?
I'm pretty sure it needs to be enabled as a kernel module in order for it to function correctly. Have you tried looking at The dev sections kernels? If it's not their you could try to find a how to compile the kernel module and politely ask a kernel dev to see if they can help

Stock based roms supports both.
Some CM are dual sim but don't support call recording
Does any custom rom support call recording?
I don't care about dual sim, but I need call recorder for my work to remember what people have talked to me when I can't take notes. If not, need to buy new phone I guess.....

I can confirm GenNxt rom supports call recording via third party apps.
For call recording install xposed framework and use a call recording module or download an app from playstore.

Yes, these bugs are currently present on any CM12 ROMs for MTK, so it's not unexpected if you get those bugs too.
