I like the new Spigen Slim Armor case which is easy to put on/off, but one thing I don't like is very slippery.
Here is a simple fix: install "water install" soft screen protector (zagg, xtremeguard, and so on) on the sides of the case.
The "gooey" feeling on this screen protector helps preventing slipping.

Just like the title says, I recently scratched my screen protector which is pretty noticeable. I noticed the one that came with the Otter Box commuter case doesn't cover the entire screen because the rubber part covers the edges. Is there a particular screen protector I should use? Thx!

i don't think there's a screen protector that will cover the entire front part (unless you're gonna cover the entire phone like some of the wrap protectors out there.
The spigen curved crystal is compatible with Commuter. But the sp only compatible with Commuter as commuter had bigger lips to cover the front screen. If u wish to change others case, choose the spigen ultra crystal.

I've used Spigen, Zagg and cheapo screen protectors (2/$10 dry-apply) with my Commuter cases.
Basically, if it's a flexible plastic screen protector it should fit under the silicone undershell of the Commuter. Just be careful when putting on the Commuter case - make sure you don't fold or "roll up" the screen protector as you put on the silicone. Once you have the silicone on, "flip" (just a quick lift/release) the lip of the silicone around the screen to make sure there's no pressure on the screen protector trying to side it around and push wrinkles into it. Then carefully put the outer shell on being careful to shift the silicone as little as possible.
Probably more than was needed to be said but hey, I called off work sick today.
I bought the Spigen Curved Glass screen protector, and I absolutely love the fit. I have zero bubbles anywhere on my screen and everything is laying flat. However, the case I have keeps making the sides of the screen protector come up. Here is the case I have now (which I freaking love):
http://tpu-cases.com/index.php?main...id=275&zenid=1bb0920acd2cedd0634ccf906fa15569
Is there anyone else that has this screen protector and can recommend a case that doesn't make the sides of the protector come up?

I use the Spigen curved crystal screen protector also. Here are the cases that I have that work without peeling the edges up:
UAG
Element Eclipse
Spigen Modello - tpu

Thanks for your response! The UAG is nice, but too bulky. The Element Eclipse looks amazing, but I'll pay $65 for a case the same day I win a lottery. As for Spigen, I don't see a Modello for the SGS3, but I don't like any of their cases. I'd get a flip cover case, but the ones I've seen have no protection for the top or bottom of the phone.
I do very much appreciate your feedback, I'm just hoping for a case that I like and that works with this protector.
The Rock Quicksand has been great for me.

FYI, I decided to try the Seidio Surface case, thinking that if I could slide the case on it wouldn't be a problem. Fail. Totally pulls the sides of the protector up. Unless I can find a similar, minimalist case that will work with this screen protector, I'll have to just get a different protector.
A little old, but all the cases in on my crappy blog worked fine with the Curved Glass.
Including all metal bumpers.
Spigen Ultra Thin Air
My skinomi screen protector fits exactly on the Nexus 5 glass leaving zero margins or gaps to the edge.
Currently using a Rearth ringke slim case with the Nexus. It fits perfectly and doesn't push on my screen protector, but I am looking for something with more drop protection. Noticed all of the TPU or thicker bumper style cases wrap around the edge of screen a bit and will likely bubble or lift my screen protector up.
Anyone found a durable case that is screen protector friendly?

The ringke fusion has the same fit as the slim, but with a bit thicker, all around coverage. I would guess that it doesn't give as much impact protection as tpu cases, but more than the slim.

The Ringke Fusion is very similar to the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. http://i.imgur.com/2869wVa.jpg Shows a side cross section. Looks like it has minimal contact with the edge. I might give one of those a shot.
The official nexus bumper case from Google does not interfere with the screen protector at all. I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid, which bubbles the edge of the screen protector in some areas. Also have a Nilkin case from eBay that bubbles the lower right corner.
The Google bumper is perfect. No interference at all.
I've had the Diztronic tpu case on for a few days now. It's causing no problems with my Spigen PET film screen protector.

Just a question to those of you, I'm assuming most, who put a screen protector on your phone. I've been having troubles with the Nexus 5 screen protectors, specifically a matted protector from Ghost Armor, in which my common TPU case pushes up the corners of the protector rather severely.
I've put screen protectors on all my many phones and have never had such a problem, I'm assuming it has something to do with the Nexus 5's small bezel and how close both the case and the screen protector come out to the edges.
I'm just wondering if this is a common problem with any brand of screen protector and any case in general. Has anyone else had this happen?
I ordered a Spigen Neo Hybrid a couple days ago and plan to get my Ghost Armor reapplied, but now I'm wondering if there is a point to doing so if this will just happen again.
I don't have the ghost armor, but I have had both Spigen PET and glass screen protectors on the phone, and the Neo Hybrid case did not cause listing on either. The Spigen Slim Armor, and the Ringke Fusion also did not cause lifting of either screen protector. The Ballistic SG Maxx does not cause lifting of my glass screen protector, have not tried it with PET.

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad to hear that the Neo Hybrid didn't cause any lifting hopefully the same is with Ghost Armor. Side note, you mention having a glass screen protector is there any trouble fitting that with the Neo Hybrid? Not with the lifting, but like with how tight it is or something.

I find glass screen protectors much easier to get applied than traditional plastic ones. They go on easier (apply themselves) and have less air bubbles. I only ended up with one, and it was too late to re-apply the screen, so I just left it

When the case "hugs" the lip of the phone some what and the screen protector goes right to the edge this can happen. Ringke Fusion doesn't seem to "hug" much at all and I haven't read anyone having these issues with it.
Hi,
I am planning to buy a protection for my N5, right now I got some wallet case but thing thing is way too big, I like the "slimness" of this phone but it needs protection (from me...).
I found these 2 things:
Spigen Ultra Hydrid case, with air cushing stuff that seems to be good for dropping off the phone.
http://www.amazon.fr/Spigen-Housse-...ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1Y74JCVNKYJ4E
Orzly Tempered glass, cheap and report says it do the job.
http://www.amazon.fr/Orzly®-Protect...416698&sr=8-1&keywords=nexus+5+tempered+glass
Did anyone tried the both together?
Does it fit well?
Should I go for plastic screen protection?
I am looking for a case to protect the phone from drops, but something thin so it fit well in tight pockets.
Thanks for your remarks.
Regards,
Anyone tried it?
Well i have just installed the nillkin tempered glass screen protector with mine sgp ultra hybrid and it fits perfectly. The screen protector is a bit smaller then the screen itself, so the lips of the case aren't touching it directly and therefore not lifting the protector. I guess the one you are looking into should also fit with this case.
I'm using a Spigen Ultra Fit + Nillkin Tempered Glass at the moment. I've already ordered a MIME Ghost, because my Nillkin's Oleophobic Coating has ran out, and I hate the proximity sensor cutout.
