reflash your firmware in fastboot, put twrp backup of stock rom on external sd, use twrp to restore that backup, you've lost your stuff on internal memory, and by the sound of things it needs re formatting, so I would wipe the entire phone, except for external sd. if you don't have external sd you need to sideload a .zip of a stock rom ....but its very untrustworthy in whether you can get it working or not. Firmware and rom should preferably be the same version, so if your phone is unbranded international you need 154.401.10 or 2.22.401.4 and the stock rom to match, im useless at explaining and making tutorials, im sure someone will explain more clearly.

I rooted my phone and flashed a custom.. My question are do i have to leave usb debugging on all the time or just when i want to transfer data from pc to cell?
And i want to change my sd card to a bigger capacity so can i copy my system backup from old sd card to new ? Will there be any problems later if i have to restore my phone?
One last question i rooted my phone through odin and flashed juggernaut rom w/ ics theme, the question is if iwant to restore my phone to stock will have to flash the stock rom or could i just restore using the backup on my sd card?
Thanks in advance for all the help guy.. Like i said i am new to android so all the help is appreciated

USB Debugging is only for certain operations and does not need to be on for a data transfer.

Make a folder on your desktop named "SD", copy the contents of your current SD. Then copy those files to your new SD, easy peasy. No problems.

If you made a backup of your stock ROM you can just restore it, ClockWork will still be your recovery, however you can flash the stock recovery thru ODIN if you want it completely stock.

Need serious help resetting phone

Ok so I used to have a Samsung Captivate and knew how to root and flash ROMs, was pretty used to it.
I tried to do the same on my HOX, but ran into a bootloop and subsequently I think I've deleted everything on my phone. I used Hasoon2000's All in one kit and unlocked my bootloader, flashed TWRP v 2.3.3.0, but my problem arose after I tried to flash the kernel. It stayed in bootloop so I figured I'd back out and just restore back to the backup I made before flashing the kernel. However, after "successfully" restoring back I was still stuck in bootloop somehow. I know this isn't supposed to happen, it's supposed to restore back to the exact state of your phone at the time.
Anyways, I thought maybe I just needed to wipe things. I looked around and found a source that said to wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, and system. Wipe those 4, but not external storage or android secure. So I wiped those 4 and I intended to try the backup again but it turns out that cleared everything on my phone. Now when I hit "restore" there is nothing to select. I also used to have a custom rom on the virtual sdcard, but that's gone too.
When in TWRP and I go into "install" the only thing in /sdcard is now TWRP. After looking around, it looks like my only option is to mount the phone to my computer via TWRP and somehow download the standard OS for my One X again. Also in the Mount menu it lists "mount system, mount data, mount cache, mount sd card" I can only check the first 3 options and when I do my computer asks me if I want to format it. I guess I can't mount the sd card because I deleted everything?
If anyone has the time to help me out that would be AMAZING. Right now I don't even care about being able to flash my custom ROM, I just want to get my phone back to functionality. I would love a conversation and would be willing to gmail chat if willing.
Also my phone is the ATT version, 2.20 (or I guess it was before I deleted everything).
Thank you in advance for any help.
I guess the fastest way to get your phone working again is using RUU file, you ll find how to do it here (method 2) or here

Restoring backup doesnt restore kernel ( boot.img ), you have to flash it manually with fastboot.
Dude. U think htc offers same freedom as Samsung . U are WRONG. If u flash a rom or restore a backup. U also need to flash boot.img separately from pc. Use fastboot flash boot boot.img. i assume you know the basics. Htc don't have s-off , so writing to nand protected system storage is restricted. If u read a little you might have got this. This will solve boot loop prob

Fixed
Thanks Yasounet. I managed to flash viper in the end.

Realy need help

Hi,i rooted my friends Wildfire s and everything went great, but when he put his SIM card and rebooted it went in to a bootloop.
He tried to fix it and formated his system partition. So my q is can anyone send me the contens of system folder or a twrp backup to restore.
Or is there any other way of fixing this?

Hi
is he on the stock rom? odexed or de-odexed? what rom version?
For a quick fix i would recommend flashing this rom via clockworkmod recovery, as it is fairly stock and already rooted. Ensure that your friend makes a full nandroid backup first, then wipe everything, except the sdcard, and then flash the rom afetr placing it onto the root of the sdcard. like he must have done to root. then, after the rom has booted up and is working with his sim card i recommend downloading this app here and use this to restore heir contacts, and sms ect. NOTE: only restore data apps, and not system apps at there may be conflicts! good luck pal.

Will flashing a stock rom using LG Flash Tool affect external sd card?

Hi everyone
I just want to make sure.. I used to remove everything til I get to the sd card and remove it, before flashing a kdz rom using lg flash tool but it gets annoying . So I want to make sure that flashing a rom with flash tool won't wipe the sd card or something.
Thanks in advance
