Is your SD card formatted as exFAT ? If so, the kernel I'm using for TWRP doesn't support it, since it's a closed source module
Sorry about that. My suggestion would be to get a separate SD card for backups/restores for now.
Thanks!

Thanks anyway
I just purchased a new 64GB SanDisk SDSDQX-064G-A46A micro SDXC card from Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171773
The card works fine in my S3 and in my PC, but it will not mount in my S4, not even from Clockwork Recovery. Both my S3 and S4 are running the stock ROM, but the S4 is rooted where the S3 isn't. I went to the local T-Mobile store and while they didn't have an S4 to test my new card in, they did have a Note 3 which mounted my new card just fine. Additionally the 32GB card that was in the Note 3 mounted just fine in my S4.
What is going on here?
Format the card to Fat32 on your PC and see if that works.

There is no option to format to FAT32, only exFAT. Additionally, from what I read here Windows cannot format FAT32 volumes lager than 32GB.
http://www.ntfs.com/exfat-comparison.htm
A bit more reading and it seems the kernel that removes the SetUID restriction causes issues with exFAT formatted cards. Thankfully the fix is easy, just needed to install this exFAT module from recovery. The entire process is described here.

Here is a free windows utility which will format any size sdcards using FAT32.
Give it a try. Here is the direct download link: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/download/fat32format.zip
Good luck!

There's plenty of software to format the 64gb card to Fat32. I'm running a 64gb card in Fat32 format right now.
☞ Sent from here☜???
shouldnt need to format to fat32 i have 2 diff sandisc 64g cards in tmobile s4's and they are exfat and work fine.. are you sure you are on stock kernel.. if you change it lots of kernels do not work for exfat.
I found guiformat made mine work. Same card and I was having issues, too.
Does the OGP support exFat ? I hate the 4Gb limit of FAT32. How can I overcome this limit ?

FAT32 supports partitions up to 32 GB. If you notice, out of the box the G Pro comes with a hidden partition and an 23 GB partition as Internal Storage. I have a 32 GB MicroSD card formatted as a single 32 GB FAT32 partition.
You only need ExFAT if you plan on using a 64 GB MicroSD card. Since LG advertises that the G Pro can support up to a 64 GB MicroSD card, then its likely that the stock ROM and kernel do support ExFAT. If for some reason it doesn't, then replacing the ROM with one of the Android 4.4 KitKat ROMs will surely do the trick.

Well, I bit the bullet and formatted my 32Gb sdhc card to exFAT and the OGP can read it flawlessly. I am very pleased with the results because I got rid of the 4Gb file size limit. The only small issue is that cwm recovery can`t read or write exFAT so I have to make backups to my internal memory and then move them to the SD.

How do you format it into exFat?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well, it`s very easy. I put it in the card reader of the laptop and formatted it in the file manager of windows 7.
Do the 128gb SD cards that you can buy come already formatted to support files over 4GB (exFAT) or will I need access to a PC to do so?
Thank you
I use one in mine and have been able to transfer items from phone memory to external SD that are larger than 12 gigs at times. (That was a UHD demo video.)

Lol.
Exfat filesize limit is 16 billion megabytes... Fat32, what you meant, goes up to 4GB.
Apologies!

Hello guys when i try to set my sd card as internal storage it says that the sd card is too slow (its a sandisk class 10 90rw) . (Running Viperone currently) Some way to bypass the message or something ?

FAT32 would be best for the M8, especially if your card is 32gb or less. That is default for almost all of those sized SD cards as well.

If nobody you know has a card reader, it's worthy buying one to have around. They only cost around $7-8 US.
